• Singles Match with a 5-Minute Time Limit: Baron Corbin vs Lil Yachty — If Yachty can last for five minutes, Trick Williams will get a United States Championship match
• Yachty did in fact last the five minutes.
• Trick Williams then won the title from Baron Corbin by pinfall 
• Oba Femi defeated Bron Breakker by disqualification when Bronson Reed used a steel chair on Femi in front of the referee, continuing to beat him down after the bell to finish the job the rest of The Vision hadn't been able to do. Femi ate some more spears, along with multiple Tsunami splashes.
• Six-Woman Tag Team Match: Jade Cargill, B-Fab & Michin defeated Alexa Bliss, Charlotte Flair & Tatum Paxley by pinfall.
• Randy Orton defeated Cody Rhodes by pinfall after a low blow

AAA TRIPLEMANIA 34 NIGHT 1 RESULTS - SEPTEMBER 11, 2026:

• Mixed Trios Match: Adelicious, Mascarita Sagrada and Mini Vikingo defeated Lady Shani, Jack Cartwheel and Mini Abismo Negro by pinfall. Lady Shani suffered an apparent injury early in the match and was helped to the back, leaving her partners at a disadvantage. Mini Vikingo eventually hit a Shooting Star Press on Mini Abismo Negro to score the victory.
• Fatal 4-Way Tag Team Elimination Match: Los Americanos (Bravo Americano and Rayo Americano) defeated LWO (Cruz Del Toro and Joaquin Wilde), Tokyo Bad Boys (Kento and Nobu San) and Fraxiom (Axiom and Nathan Frazer). Fraxiom first eliminated LWO after Joaquin Wilde accidentally sprayed Cruz Del Toro with hairspray. Fraxiom then eliminated Tokyo Bad Boys before Los Americanos defeated Fraxiom in the final fall to win the match.
• AAA announced that company president Marisela Pena will be inducted into the AAA Hall of Fame at Heroes Inmortales on October 24 in Mexico City.
• Fatal 4-Way Match to Determine the No. 1 Contender for the AAA Reina de Reinas Championship at Worlds Collide: Roxanne Perez defeated Nattie, Faby Apache and La Hiedra by pinfall. Reina de Reinas Champion Flammer attempted to interfere with the championship belt, but Perez avoided the shot and caused La Hiedra to collide with Flammer. Perez followed with Pop Rox on La Hiedra to earn the title opportunity at Worlds Collide. Flammer and La Hiedra argued afterward.
• AAA Latin American Championship Triple Threat Match: La Parka (c) defeated Mr. Iguana and Laredo Kid by pinfall to retain the title. Mr. Iguana appeared close to victory after hitting Get Green on Laredo Kid, but La Parka pulled his friend out of the ring before the three-count. La Parka later hit the Bone Breaker on Laredo Kid to retain the championship.
• Panic Clown was not medically cleared to compete in the AAA World Trios Championship match, so Psycho Clown replaced him alongside Dave the Clown and Murder Clown.
• AAA World Trios Championship Match: Los Perros del Mal (Daga, Angel and Berto) defeated Psycho Circus (Psycho Clown, Dave the Clown and Murder Clown) (c) by pinfall to win the titles. El Carnicero interfered and attacked Dave the Clown, causing Psycho Clown to brawl with him to the backstage area. Karmen Petrovic later distracted Dave, while Berto took him out at ringside. Angel hit Murder Clown with a sunset bomb and Daga followed with a double stomp for the pinfall, ending Psycho Circus' championship reign.
• Rey Mysterio vs Omos [If Omos wins, his AAA suspension is lifted; if Rey Mysterio wins, Omos is permanently banned from AAA]: Omos defeated Rey Mysterio by pinfall. Dominik Mysterio interfered at ringside and attacked El Grande Americano, giving Omos the opening to recover from a series of 619s and hit Rey with a Chokeslam for the victory. Omos was therefore officially reinstated in AAA. After the match, Omos returned while Rey was being strapped to a stretcher and Chokeslammed Rey, still attached to the backboard, through the announce table.

AAA TRIPLEMANIA 34 NIGHT 2 RESULTS - SEPTEMBER 13, 2026:

• 15-Man Copa Bardahl Match: Omos defeated Mr. Iguana, Abismo Negro Jr., Histeria, Mascarita Sagrada, Taurus, El Fiscal, Laredo Kid, Mecha Wolf, La Parka, El Mesias, Dinamico, Texano Jr., Chris Carter and Nino Hamburguesa. Omos dominated much of the latter portion of the match and ultimately eliminated Nino Hamburguesa last to win the Copa Bardahl for the second consecutive year.
• AAA Reina de Reinas Championship Match: La Catalina defeated Flammer (c) by pinfall to win the title. Flammer repeatedly looked toward the entrance for assistance from Las Toxicas, but no help arrived. La Catalina capitalized and hit a running Busaiku Knee to end Flammer's championship reign of more than 1,100 days. Roxanne Perez will now challenge La Catalina for the title at Worlds Collide.
• Mexican Street Fight: El Carnicero defeated Psycho Clown by pinfall. The match featured kendo sticks, chairs, trash cans, tables and other weapons. Pagano appeared while Psycho Clown was trapped in the ropes and initially seemed ready to help his longtime partner, but instead allowed El Carnicero to strike Psycho with a metal toolbox for the pinfall. Pagano completed the betrayal afterward by handing El Carnicero a kendo stick to continue the attack.
• Fatal 4-Way Match for the AAA World Cruiserweight Championship: Rey Fenix (c) defeated Mini Vikingo, Jack Cartwheel and Nathan Frazer by pinfall to retain the title. Fenix hit Mini Vikingo with the Mexican Muscle Buster to score the deciding fall. After the match, AAA World Trios Champions Los Perros del Mal attacked Fenix, Frazer, Cartwheel and Vikingo and left all four competitors laid out.
• AAA World Tag Team Championship Open Challenge: Hijo de Dr. Wagner Jr. and Galeno defeated The War Raiders (Erik and Ivar) (c) by pinfall to win the titles. The Wagner brothers answered the open challenge. Hijo de Dr. Wagner Jr. hit Erik with the Wagner Driver before Galeno followed with a top-rope splash to crown the new AAA World Tag Team Champions.
• No Disqualification Match for the AAA Mega Championship: El Grande Americano defeated Dominik Mysterio (c) by pinfall to win the title. JD McDonagh, Liv Morgan, Dorian Roldan and Omos all became involved on Dominik's behalf, while Bravo Americano and Rayo Americano attempted to assist El Grande Americano. Omos took out both Americanos, and Liv Morgan later interfered as well. After El Grande Americano accidentally knocked down the referee, Dominik struck him with the AAA Mega Championship belt and attempted a Frog Splash. Americano avoided it and hit a flying headbutt. Rey Mysterio then made his surprise return from the attack he suffered on Night 1 and entered as the replacement referee, counting the pinfall that crowned El Grande Americano the new AAA Mega Champion.

WWE SummerSlam 2026 Results

WWE SUMMERSLAM 2026 RESULTS: SATURDAY, AUGUST 1, 2026

• Singles Match for the Women's World Championship: Liv Morgan (c) defeated IYO SKY by pinfall to retain. — Very good match. There were some missteps and such, but there were also some very impressive moments like Iyo's bounce out of Oblivion and backward from the codebreaker. It's a shame this was such a foregone conclusion about the result, but they did a great job for the match itself.
• Six-Man Tag Team Match: LA Knight, Royce Keys and Solo Sikoa defeated The Bloodline (Jacob Fatu, Jey Uso and Jimmy Uso) by pinfall. — Solid enough match for something that is basically a TV match. Solo Sikoa definitely needs a babyface run. Jacob Fatu's such a star.
• Gunther defeated Nick Aldis by submission — Can Aldis just be a wrestler now? I'm really glad he got a chance to at least wrestle this, and on a big stage like SummerSlam, even if it doesn't lead to more matches. But it should. I'd imagine they won't keep paying for Oasis going forward, though, and he'll get Def Rebel'd. Aldis should AT LEAST compete in the Royal Rumble.
• Six-Woman Tag Team Match: Fatal Influence (Jacy Jayne, Fallon Henley & Lainey Reid) defeated The Bella Twins (Brie Bella & Nikki Bella) and Paige by pinfall. After the match, The Bella Twins turned on Paige and beat her down — The turn after is interesting. This was obviously not the best match of the show (to no surprise) but they held down the fort enough.
• Singles Match for the Undisputed WWE Championship: CM Punk (c) defeated Cody Rhodes by pinfall. While referee Charles Robinson and CM Punk were both out of the ring incapacitated, Randy Orton returned and The Viper struck Cody Rhodes with an RKO that Punk was able to capitalize on. — Cool Guile stuff from Cody's entrance. Guile's theme goes with everything. Good match. Orton's return gives Rhodes something to do out of this that isn't in the title scene and Punk has a new #1 contender in either Finn Balor or Sami Zayn tomorrow. This checks out. I still wonder what the plan is for WrestleMania, though, and if it's a rematch of Punk/Rhodes, I'm not sure where they go that isn't just "if it weren't for Orton, I'd have beaten you" for months.
• Hell in a Cell Match: Oba Femi defeated Brock Lesnar by pinfall — HIAC matches aren't what they used to be, but they haven't been 97/98 since effectively then. For a match between these two, this was a good one. For a HIAC match specifically, they left much to the imagination by only using steel steps and the exposed ring. But hey, at least they had a good match and the right person won.

WWE SUMMERSLAM 2026 RESULTS: SUNDAY, AUGUST 2, 2026

• To kick off the show, the newly-reinstated SmackDown General Manager Nick Aldis announced that the #1 contender's match is now a Fatal 4-Way by inserting Gunther and a returning Kevin Owens into the match! 
• Undisputed WWE Championship No. 1 Contender's Fatal 4-Way Match: Kevin Owens defeated Sami Zayn, Finn Balor and Gunther by pinfall — Awesome! Not only was this interesting to start the show, but it's so great that Owens is healthy enough to step back into the ring. Good things are good! And now, there are more people in the title hunt, which is certainly not a bad thing at all. I'm intrigued and I'm happy. Thumbs up.
• Singles Match for the Men's United States Championship: Baron Corbin defeated Trick Williams (c) by pinfall to win the title! — As much as I'm a Corbin fan who argues for his success all the time, I'm a bit surprised the belt changed hands. I thought they didn't get enough out of Trick's custom belt to justify a change just yet.
• Fatal 5-Way Ladder Match for the Interim WWE Women's Championship: Chelsea Green defeated Charlotte Flair, Jade Cargill, Lash Legend and Tiffany Stratton  — Hell yeah again! Now make it official and allow her to be a legitimate world champion instead of just an interim champion. What a pop. Green's awesome and deserves this.
• Human Monies on a Pole Match: Danhausen defeated Dominik Mysterio.  — Minihausens, Joe Hendry doing a guitar shot to JD McDonagh, Dirty Dom losing because he gets cursed at the last second...yeah, this was what it was supposed to be.
• Singles Match for the Intercontinental Championship: Chad Gable defeated Penta (c) by pinfall to win the title! Penta fastened the belt for him after the match out of respect.   — Hell yeah! This rocked. It reminded me a lot of Bret Hart against Mr. Perfect and Roddy Piper in a very "SummerSlam feel" type of vibe. I'm also a sucker for an emotional story and seeing Gable just win the belt, finally.
• Singles Match for the World Heavyweight Championship: Roman Reigns (c) defeated Seth Rollins by pinfall  — Fantastic. They really knocked SummerSlam out of the park this year.

• Trios Match for the AEW World Trios Championship: The Conglomeration (Orange Cassidy, Roderick Strong, and Kyle O'Reilly) (c) defeated Lethal Twist (Jay Lethal, Blake Christian, and Lee Johnson) by pinfall.

AEW REDEMPTION MAIN CARD

• "Speedball" Mike Bailey won the AEW International Championship #1 Contender's Six-Way Ladder Match: The Beast Mortos vs Komander vs Jack Perry vs "Speedball" Mike Bailey vs Nick Wayne vs El Clon — Matches like this are fun car crashes. Big pop for Speedball in Montreal. Thumbs up.
• The Young Bucks (Matt Jackson and Nick Jackson) defeated The Death Riders (Jon Moxley and Will Ospreay) by pinfall  — Very good match. For an event where a lot of this feels kind of like television matches, they stepped it up even more to make this come across more important.
• Singles Match for the AEW International Championship [with everyone banned from ringside]: Kyle Fletcher (c) defeated Bandido by pinfall  — This wasn't as good as I was hoping it would be, to be honest. It was more of the choreography problem with them waiting to do spots and all.
• Double Chain Tag Team Match: The Dogs (David Finlay and Clark Connors) defeated Bang Bang Gang (Jay White and Juice Robinson) by pinfall due in part to interference from The Death Riders (Marina Shafir, Daniel Garcia and Wheeler Yuta) helping them out  — I found myself almost dozing off from being pretty bored. I wouldn't say this was bad so much as it just wasn't interesting to me.
• Will Ospreay and Jon Moxley argued backstage over Moxley thinking Ospreay is too soft and unwilling to pull the trigger, based on how he wasn't cutthroat in their tag team match earlier.
• Singles Match for the AEW TBS Championship: Maya World defeated Hikaru Shida (c) by pinfall — Good for Maya. I'm still personally feeling tired and wasn't sucked into this match, but I'm glad she won the belt.
• The Demand have issued a challenge to The Conglomeration for the AEW World Trios Championship on Dynamite.
• Tag Team Match for the AEW World Tag Team Championship: Cage and Cope (Adam Copeland and Christian Cage) (c) defeated Death Riders (Claudio Castagnoli and Pac) by pinfall to retain. After the match, The Young Bucks came out and they'll be getting the tag team title shot for All In. Christian didn't want to shake their hands. — Good enough match, but nothing to turn the tides on my thoughts on this event. This was yet another television match overall. 
• No Holds Barred Match: "The Painmaker" Chris Jericho defeated Tommaso Ciampa (by submission I think?) — That mascot had it coming. Spots like the mirror and glass and tacks and all are just so rough that I have no idea how they are cool with doing that to themselves.
• Mick Foley barked like a dog in a fucking WEIRD backstage segment with The Divine Dominion that was super awkward.
• Singles Match for the AEW National Championship: Andrade El Ídolo defeated Mark Davis (c) by pinfall to win the title! — Good match with the right outcome. Can't complain about that.
• Speedball wants his international title match to be at Grand Slam Mexico. 
• Singles Match for the AEW Women's World Championship: Willow Nightingale defeated Thekla (c) defeated Willow Nightingale by pinfall to win the title!! — Fun match with the right ending. Awesome for Willow. She deserves it. It sucks Thekla's reign is over, as she's great, but it had to end sometime and this was the right decision for who should beat her.
• Singles Match for the AEW World Championship: Kenny Omega (c) defeated Kevin Knight by pinfall — Good match. Kevin Knight levels up some more in his career despite coming up short and Omega looks like a fighting champion to boost him up better for All In. While it was a foregone conclusion he'd retain, I think this was a good thing overall. I just think it could have worked just as well as a television episode main event.
• The Death Riders then went on the attack, also beating up The Young Bucks who tried to help defend Omega. Will Ospreay came out to make the save, snatching the steel chair away from them and threatening to hit them with it. Jon Moxley went into the ring, argued with him, and pulled out a plastic bag to give to Ospreay, who ripped it in half instead of using it on Omega. Ospreay then struck Moxley and took out the rest of them one-by-one. After that, Omega and Ospreay shook hands, only for Omega to blindside him with a One-Winged Angel, posing over him with The Young Bucks to end the broadcast.

WWE Saturday Night's Main Event 45 Results

WWE SATURDAY NIGHT'S MAIN EVENT XLV RESULTS:

• Trick Williams defeated Laredo Kid by pinfall. — Solid.
• WWE Women's Tag Team Championship Match: Fatal Influence (Fallon Henley & Lainey Reid) defeated Brie Bella & Paige (c) by pinfall to win the titles! — I'm glad we have new champs.
• Backstage: Sami Zayn was interviewed, complaining about the title situation. Gunther interrupted to remind him not to screw things up for him.
• No Disqualification Match: Danhausen defeated JD McDonagh by pinfall with some help from some Minihausens and Karl-Anthony Towns — Sure!
• Bayley defeated Lyra Valkyria by submission via referee stoppage. After the match, Valkyria gave Bayley a Nightwing onto the steel steps. — Fine enough. Not my favorite thing so far, but it helps Lyra get some steam.
• Tag Team Match [Stipulation — If Gunther and Sami Zayn win, the Undisputed WWE Championship match at SummerSlam becomes a Fatal 4-Way with them added into it]: CM Punk and Cody Rhodes defeated Gunther and Sami Zayn by pinfall due to interference from Nick Aldis screwing over Gunther, pulling the referee out of the ring and hitting Gunther with the title belt — Fun match for sure, with an interesting hook for the storyline to continue. If you take a show like this as a "two more hours special that isn't a PREMIUM live event" like an In Your House almost, then this was something that would fit in the mid-90s era as far as main event quality, and I grew up on that, so I'm cool with it. Thumbs up for sure!
• Oh...then, the show continued and the main event of this program was a 20+ minute "give me a pop for saying your local sports team won" segment meant to sell OTC 11 t-shirts and a custom title belt. WOW. Terrible! I was JUST praising this show! Out came Tyrese Haliburton and Seth Rollins, who went on the attack to take out Reigns, who ended up eventually fighting back so Reigns and Brunson could stand tall in the ring to end the show. All of this to build to an angle of MAYBE having those two ringside at SummerSlam, but probably not. This was just entirely a promotional spot. Ridiculous.

WWE GREAT AMERICAN BASH 2026 RESULTS:

• Singles Match for the NXT Championship: Tony D'Angelo (c) defeated Naraku by pinfall to retain.
• Singles Match for the NXT Women's North American Championship: Zaria (c) defeated Tatum Paxley by pinfall to retain.
• Robert Stone revealed to The Vanity Project that on Tuesday's episode, Jackson Drake will face Mason Rook and Swipe Right will face El Hijo de Dr. Wagner Jr. and Galeno with the NXT Tag Team Championship titles on the line.
• Shiloh Hill defeated Tristan Angels by pinfall. "The Fog" is a new gimmick for Shiloh Hill, where he was wearing a mask and had attacked Angels under the ring during the match and "somehow" teleported back out (as in, the stuff under the ring was filmed ahead of time)
• Backstage: Nattie was with Layla Diggs, Karmen Petrovic, and Nikkita Lyons. They praised Nattie for getting into the Guinness World Records the other day for having the most submission victories. Nattie put them over back (Lyons for her EVOLVE title win, Petrovic for what she's doing in AAA and her looks, and Diggs for earning an invitation to the dungeon). Diggs asked Nattie to stop calling Jaida Parker soft, but Nattie said no.
• Robert Stone told EK Prosper that he'll have to wait to get his hands on Keanu Carver, because he's earned a title opportunity by beating him last week. Prosper will face El Hijo del Vikingo for the AAA Latin American Championship on Tuesday. 
• Singles Match for the WWE Speed Women's Championship: Wren Sinclair (c) defeated Arianna Grace by submission to retain.
• Saquon Shugars defeated Dion Lennox by pinfall. Shugars was immediately attacked by the rest of DarkState (Osiris Griffin and Cutler James) after the bell, and Lennox hit Shugars a few times with a baseball bat to "lose the battle, but win the war" so to speak.
• Tatum Paxley was disappointed in letting everyone down and losing tonight, which upset Kelani Jordan, who interrupted to whine about how she still hasn't had a shot at the NXT Women's Championship, calling Paxley pathetic. That set Paxley off, who lunged at Jordan and started striking her until they were split apart.
• Singles Match for the NXT North American Championship: Myles Borne (c) defeated Tavion Heights by pinfall to retain.
• Hank Walker and Tank Ledger were talking with Kevin Owens, Blake Howard and Dave LaGreca. Keanu Carver was pissed at them talking about EK Prosper beating him, so he put Hank through a table.
• Singles Match for the NXT Women's Championship: Kendal Grey defeated Lola Vice (c) by pinfall to win the title!

• King of the Ring Tournament Finals: Oba Femi defeated Jey Uso by pinfall. — Can't say I don't love the outcome. I hope he beats Roman Reigns at SummerSlam and they don't just set him up to put Roman over.
• Queen of the Ring Tournament Finals: Iyo Sky defeated Liv Morgan by pinfall. — SO dumb to have this be how the tournament plays out just to set up Sky fighting Morgan again at SummerSlam. At least she put the crown on, unlike Oba Femi.
• Steel Cage Match: Seth Rollins defeated Bron Breakker by pinfall. — Very good match.
• Singles Match for the WWE United States Championship: Trick Williams (c) defeated Ricky Saints by pinfall to retain. — Okay.
• Women's United States Championship: Tiffany Stratton (c) defeated Jade Cargill by pinfall due to Charlotte Flair interference. — Obviously, not the best match of the show. I'm kind of surprised Cargill didn't win.
• Triple Threat Match for the Undisputed WWE Championship: Sami Zayn defeated Cody Rhodes (c) and Gunther by pinfall to win the title!! — Good match with a good outcome. I dig it.

• Women's Owen Hart Cup Final Match: Mercedes Moné defeated Maya World by submission — In a match that will likely put Maya World on the map going forward for a big upswing in her career
• "Death's Door" Steel Cage Match [Stipulation: If Briscoe's team wins, he gets a title shot against MJF]: Team Briscoe (Mark Briscoe, Orange Cassidy, Roderick Strong, Kyle O'Reilly, Konosuke Takeshita, and Darby Allin) defeated MJF and The Don Callis Family (Kevin Knight, Kyle Fletcher, Jake Doyle, Kazuchika Okada, and Andrade El Ídolo) — Calling this circular cage "Death's Door" on the Forbidden Door event is rad. One of my favorite named things in AEW's company history so far. I hope they keep that name going forward for any time they pull out this cage. It could be their Hell in a Cell branding, essentially, since Blood & Guts is their WarGames.
• Also, my god, that Darby Allin tacks to the face spot was rough.
• Orange Cassidy bringing orange slices from Willow Nightingale made me chuckle. Kyle Fletcher knocking them away for heat was also great, and being squirted in the eye with the citric acid is certainly something I didn't expect to see on this event. Ha!
• Pop from me with the Takeshita middle finger moment, too.
• Lio Rush spot didn't quite get me at first, but he really just went on fire after that. Going so far as to chain him up back in the bag made me laugh.
• Takeshita Blue Thunder Bomb spot to Fletcher off the apron through the table was great. 
• Men's Owen Hart Cup Final Match: Will Ospreay defeated Swerve Strickland by pinfall.  — I dig Ospreay's Bane outfit. Swerve's Lobo one is cool, but not as cool.

WWE CLASH IN ITALY RESULTS:

• Singles Match for the Undisputed WWE Championship: Cody Rhodes (c) defeated Gunther by pinfall. Gunther's foot was under the ropes, though. — Good match. I dig it. Let's see a rematch, for sure. I liked that finish as well.
• Singles Match for the WWE Women's Championship: Rhea Ripley (c) defeated Jade Cargill by pinfall.— This was another solid match, and I'm glad Ripley retained. Nice pop for Charlotte Flair helping out.
• Brock Lesnar defeated Oba Femi by pinfall. — I would have rather Femi won, but this was a good match and I'm down for a third with Femi winning that one.
• Singles Match for the WWE Women's Intercontinental Championship: Sol Ruca defeated Becky Lynch (c) by pinfall to win the title!— Great moment in this match with Jessika Carr rolling out of the ring. So well done, showing how much of a fluke that Sol Snatcher situation was. Ruca, Lynch, and Carr (who doesn't get as much credit as she should and is easily one of my top refs of all time) are all so great. Big fan of the title change, too.
• Tribal Combat Match for the World Heavyweight Championship: Roman Reigns (c) defeated Jacob Fatu by pinfall. — This was good, but the ending was blah. I didn't expect Fatu to win, but I also don't know if I'm going to like this subservience angle with Fatu that is going to come.

• 10-Man Tag Team Match: Boom & Doom ("Big Boom!" A.J. and Q.T. Marshall) and The Conglomeration (Mark Briscoe, Orange Cassidy, and Roderick Strong) (with Big Justice) vs Shane Taylor Promotions (Shane Taylor, Anthony Ogogo, Capt. Shawn Dean, Carlie Bravo, and Lee Moriarty). Eddie Kingston, Ortiz, and Mance Warner ran out to try to attack Shane Taylor Promotions, who ran off.
• MJF talking to Renee Paquette was interrupted by MJF. They talked some trash and MJF low-blowed Foley. Darby Allin ran MJF off, and Foley put him over in return and gave him a pep talk about how he needs to retain the title tonight to prove people wrong and represent the people like himself who weren't picked to become the stars they became. 

MAIN CARD

• Tag Team I Quit New York Street Fight for the AEW World Tag Team Championship [Stipulation: If Cope and Cage lose, they must retire as a tag team]: Cope and Cage (Adam Copeland and Christian Cage) defeated FTR (Dax Harwood and Cash Wheeler) (c) to win the titles!! 
• Singles Match for the AEW International Championship: Konosuke Takeshita defeated Kazuchika Okada (c) by pinfall to win the title in a great match! Afterward, The Don Callis Family, including a returning Kyle Fletcher, beat down Takeshita.
• Owen Hart Foundation Tournament Match: Athena defeated Mina Shirakawa by pinfall.
• No Time Limit Singles Match for the AEW Continental Championship: Jon Moxley (c) defeated Kyle O'Reilly by submission
• Owen Hart Foundation Tournament Match: Will Ospreay defeated Samoa Joe by pinfall.
• Owen Hart Foundation Men's Tournament Quarterfinal Match: Swerve Strickland defeated Bandido by pinfall

• Hair vs. Title Match for the AEW World Championship: MJF defeated Darby Allin (c) by pinfall to win the title! For some reason, after the match, Kevin Knight attacked Allin while Darby was being loaded onto a stretcher.

QUICK THOUGHTS:

• Some really great matches here. AEW does "wrestling" events better than no one, for the most part. I still think the shows are too long and I would have removed some of the pre-show stuff, as there is some fat to be trimmed, but nothing was of low quality. There were some Match of the Year candidates and things like Stadium Stampede were fun. This could be a major contender for event of the year for me.

WWE BACKLASH 2026 RESULTS:

• Bron Breakker defeated Seth Rollins by pinfall. 
• Good enough match, but it obviously doesn't hit in the way that it would have if this would have been at WrestleMania and been a bigger deal.
• Singles Match for the WWE Men's United States Championship: Trick Williams (c) retained over Sami Zayn by pinfall.
• I'm not super big on Lil Yachty being involved in all of this, and I think WWE could have handled this story so much better than the whole Gingerbread Man thing happened, but I'm glad Trick retained and I liked the match enough. This is a case of a segment doing its job, but not some A+ MOTY material. IE, good, but nothing special.
• Danhausen and Minihausen defeated The Miz and Kit Wilson by pinfall.
• Is the whole Minihausen stuff going to be a regular thing going forward? 2026 is so weird. 
• Iyo Sky defeated Asuka by pinfall.
• This would have actually mattered if Kairi Sane was involved and if it had taken place at WrestleMania instead of just being a Monday Night Raw match to end a feud without the central figure in the feud. Good match with poor execution of the angle. Good moment after the match where they got emotional, but I'm not sure it makes any sense for what's next, depending on what that might be.
• John Cena's announcement was an incredibly vague, detail-free announcement that there will at some point be in some fashion something called The John Cena Classic which will I guess be a tournament, but they didn't say whether or not it is, and it will involve a championship that we didn't see, with rules that we don't know about, with people who we don't know will be involved, and you don't need to win your matches in order to win this championship, which will be a yearly thing, so it isn't an actual championship. What the hell? 
• Singles Match for the World Heavyweight Championship: Roman Reigns (c) retained over Jacob Fatu by pinfall.
• Fine enough match, but this is clearly not over. I'm not sure I'm a fan of Fatu attacking Roman and the officials after the match if that ends up meaning a heel turn, as I think Fatu should stay a face.

WWE WrestleMania 2026 Results

Coverage will begin both days at 3 p.m. ET with the Countdown to WrestleMania 42 pre-show. The main card is set to begin at 6 p.m. ET with the first hour airing for free on ESPN before the rest will be on ESPN+.

WWE WRESTLEMANIA 42 SATURDAY RESULTS:

• Six-Man Tag Team Match: LA Knight and The Usos (Jey Uso & Jimmy Uso) defeated IShowSpeed and The Vision (Austin Theory & Logan Paul) by pinfall. After the match, Logan Paul beat up IShowSpeed, but Speed was helped by The Usos and Knight, who set it up so he could jump off the ring post and splash Paul through the commentary table. — This was generic, but IShowSpeed did well, they crossed off Jey Uso's entrance (which is one of their priorities), and the right group won, so it's mission accomplished, even if it's not going on my highlight reel for match quality by any means.
• Unsanctioned Match: Jacob Fatu defeated Drew McIntyre by pinfall. — Fun match. I think if this were Hell in a Cell with the same spots, it would have looked a bit weak for not having any blood or whatever, but I still enjoyed it. Fatu's such a star and McIntyre is always great.
• Nikki Bella is not medically cleared to compete, so Paige is taking her place to team with Brie Bella instead. 
• Fatal 4-Way Tag Team Match for the WWE Women's Tag Team Championship: Brie Bella and Paige defeated The Irresistible Forces (Lash Legend and Nia Jax) (c), Alexa Bliss & Charlotte Flair and Bayley & Lyra Valkyria by pinfall (Paige pinning Bliss) — While it sucks that The Bella Twins couldn't get their win, and I still think they need to go in the record books as champions at some point, having Paige return like this will be a moment a lot of people will go gaga over.
• Singles Match for the WWE Women's Intercontinental Championship: Becky Lynch defeated AJ Lee (c) by pinfall to win the title! — Fine enough, but I'm not a fan of Lynch winning the belt back.
• Gunther defeated Seth Rollins by referee stoppage (via sleeper hold) due to Bron Breakker interfering and spearing Rollins on the outside while the referee was distracted. — Good match with the best outcome they could have gone with.
• Singles Match for the WWE Women's World Championship: Liv Morgan defeated Stephanie Vaquer (c) by pinfall to win the title! — They're rushing this show, weirdly. I think this would have been better with a little more time, but it was solid.
• John Cena announced the attendance (50,816...which definitely isn't the right number). Then, Bianca Belair came out and announced that she's pregnant! Cute joke about the attendance being 50,817 instead. Awesome. Congrats to Belair and Montez Ford! 
• Singles Match for the Undisputed WWE Championship: Cody Rhodes (c) defeated Randy Orton by pinfall — I'm very interested in their booking philosophy behind this match, as this was odd to have Cody low blow Orton, the whole Jelly Roll and Pat McAfee stuff, Orton giving an RKO to McAfee...it feels like there are a lot of cooks in the kitchen for this writing team and mixed signals are going on, but I'm interested.

Check out the podcast for my post-show review. In short, I thought this was a good first half, but if this would have been the entire WrestleMania, it would have felt hollow. We have another whole day tomorrow to finish this out. 

WWE WRESTLEMANIA 42 SUNDAY RESULTS:

• The only thing to mention on the pre-show was that Dominik Mysterio's match with Finn Balor is now a street fight.
• Oba Femi defeated Brock Lesnar by pinfall! — Hell yeah! They made the right call! I was so nervous they were going to put Lesnar over and make the same mistake they've made a million times before. I wish the match was longer, but Brock never wrestles long, so I can't say I'm surprised about that. Ultimately, I'll take a short match with Femi winning over a longer match with Lesnar coming out on top, for sure.
• Six-Pack Ladder Match for the WWE Men's Intercontinental Championship: Penta (c) defeated Dragon Lee, JD McDonagh, Je'Von Evans, Rey Mysterio, and Rusev — As expected, this was a fun match. It's a shame they didn't show the entrances for Dragon Lee, Rusev, and JD McDonagh, which is disrespectful on a show that is this long with this much filler content. As much as I was hoping for Je'Von Evans to win, I'm cool with Penta retaining, for sure. Solid ladder match with some good spots.
• Singles Match for the WWE United States Championship: Trick Williams defeated Sami Zayn (c) by pinfall to win the title! — Big fan of Trick. I like this decision a lot.
• Street Fight: "The Demon" Finn Balor defeated Dominik Mysterio by pinfall. — This was fun. Good entrance for Balor. It won't be a memorable match by next year, I feel, but I enjoyed this segment enough.
• Singles Match for the WWE Women's Championship: Rhea Ripley defeated Jade Cargill (c) by pinfall to win the title! — This wasn't working for me. The pace and the clumsy moments took me out. It seemed like they didn't know exactly what rhythm or story they wanted to tell and just didn't have chemistry. I see people praising it, but it just didn't connect for me. I'm glad Rhea won with Iyo Sky's help to offset B-Fab and Michin.
• John Cena announced the attendance and was interrupted by The Miz and Kit Wilson. Danhausen then came out with a bunch of Littlehausens. One of them punched Wilson in the balls. Danhausen then took out The Miz and left. "Is this guy growing on me?" says my wife, as I agree that I don't get it with Danhausen, but damn it, I'm enjoying his WWE stuff so far. 
• Singles Match for the WWE World Heavyweight Championship: Roman Reigns defeated CM Punk (c) by pinfall to win the title! — This was awesome. I'm adding it to my Match of the Year list.
