Singles Match for the Undisputed WWE Championship: Cody Rhodes (c) vs. Gunther

WWE sure can't just sit down, think of plans ahead of time, and then stick to them, can they? Serves them right for the stupid Pat McAfee idea, but it's a shame the Randy Orton feud with Cody Rhodes was so botched when it had the potential to be amazing, and the same goes for this Gunther feud, which I have been saying for several years now would have been a good trajectory to have The Ring General win the Royal Rumble and beat Cody Rhodes for the belt at this year's WrestleMania to have followed up on the John Cena thing. It's amazing how WWE can do the right feuds at the wrong times and really diminish the impact.

At this moment (May 8th, for posterity's sake), I don't know if I would lean more toward a title change or not. There are pros and cons for both. Rhodes saying he's easy to find and hard to beat kind of makes me think that gimmick isn't going away for a bit, and that he'll retain. However, if this is just a two month feud of "giving Cody something to do" more than anything else, that's not as good as what Gunther deserves. However, I also don't think it makes a ton of sense for Gunther to win the belt at this moment, because who would be his challengers other than to just tell the story again about Cody trying to win the belt back? I'm not sure fans necessarily want that.

We'll have to see how this plays out over the next few weeks. This feud is very much being built on a week-by-week basis with what I can only assume is very little foresight, so I'm not sure WWE even has an idea of what they want to do here, let alone how it will all factor into something in the pipeline like Money in the Bank or SummerSlam.

PREDICTION: I'm split on this right now.

Tribal Combat for the World Heavyweight Championship: Roman Reigns (c) vs. Jacob Fatu

I'm glad they're going with a No Disqualification gimmick. This wouldn't be as interesting of a match if they just did a regular singles bout again. Reigns is going to retain, but this stipulation makes it more likely it'll be a battle for him to do so and a fun match between the two that shows Fatu's strengths and gives Reigns someone difficult to overcome.

PREDICTION: Roman Reigns retains.

Brock Lesnar vs. Oba Femi

Well after that WrestleMania 42 stuff, I definitely didn't see it coming that Brock Lesnar would come out of fake retirement on a random episode of Raw to set up a rematch for this event.

I'd imagine they're going to do a trilogy of these to get the most out of it, meaning Lesnar wins. But maybe he does so after still making it seem like Femi would have had his number, like with a low blow?

PREDICTION: Brock Lesnar cheats to win?

Singles Match for the WWE Women's Championship: Rhea Ripley (c) vs Jade Cargill

Even though the plan for WrestleMania was clearly Bianca Belair against Jade Cargill, with Rhea Ripley stepping in to replace Belair, I don't think WWE has any intention on just putting the belt back on Cargill right away. There are more heels in the SmackDown women's division right now than babyfaces, so I'd expect Ripley to retain her title here. I could be wrong, but I'd be surprised.

PREDICTION: Rhea Ripley wins.
