Men's Money in the Bank Ladder Match: Bron Breakker vs CM Punk vs Je'Von Evans vs Kevin Owens vs Penta vs Trick Williams

The men's Money in the Bank winner will be interesting this year with all the call-ups and the names in the title hunt. This year has been all over the place. It seems like every time there's a plan, it changes.

Update #1: Bron Breakker stands a very good chance at winning this, but let's see what the rest of the field is. I'd much rather him not win his first world title through a cash-in, and I'd rather him not lose a cash-in, either.

Update #2: Je'Von Evans has qualified for the match after defeating Austin Theory and Big Cass. I don't think Evans has a shot, but he's going to be a standout in the match, that's for sure.

Update #3: Trick Williams has qualified for the match after defeating Randy Orton and Rey Fenix. Since he's already holding the United States Championship, I don't think he'll be the winner, even though that's happened before and he's certainly a top candidate for having a custom briefcase.

Update #4: Penta is the fourth man in the match. Solo Sikoa was supposed to face Dominik Mysterio and Dragon Lee in the qualifier, but he was abducted by 946 before the match and Adam Pearce put Penta in his place. With Penta just coming off his World Heavyweight Championship match against Roman Reigns, his stock has certainly risen, but I don't think he's walking out with this briefcase. Penta carrying that around and cashing in doesn't feel right to me.

Update #5: CM Punk has qualified for the match after defeating Gunther and Finn Balor. That puts him into serious contention for the briefcase, but he's already won two of these before and doesn't need it in the slightest bit, so I doubt he'll actually win Money in the Bank.

Update #6: When seeing the lineup for the final qualifier, I figured Owens pinning Gargano due to Rhodes being distracted by Randy Orton would be the result. That exact thing happened.

With all those people in mind, I don't think there's a guaranteed winner out of this bunch, but I'd lean more toward Bron Breakker. Owens is interesting because he has such a connection with Zayn, but I think he is in there for "former world champion" star power and believability in winning. Someone like Je'Von Evans strikes me as a guy who they just want to have a good showing. Trick is US champ, and I think that might be where he stays until after WrestleMania. Penta just doesn't strike me as carrying around the briefcase and inserting himself into the title hunt in that way, rather than merely earning title shots the good old-fashioned way. Punk is interesting, as he doesn't need it at all, but they could also be telling the story of having him cash in and steal the belt away to get into the Rhodes feud in some fashion.

PREDICTION: Bron Breakker or CM Punk wins.

Women's Money in the Bank Ladder Match: Jacy Jayne vs Lash Legend vs Lola Vice vs Roxanne Perez vs Sol Ruca vs Tiffany Stratton

The women's division has gone through the wringer this year with a combination of injuries and WWE just choosing to not care about a lot of it (if we're being honest; I mean, c'mon, you think they let Liv Morgan sit around and do nothing for months and you're going to tell me they had confidence in their Raw women's roster? Please).

If she's involved in this, Blake Monroe is standing out to me as a major option to win this, get a custom briefcase, and likely cash in and win the title from Chelsea Green, but WWE isn't bothering to announce a lot of qualifiers ahead of time, almost as if they're struggling to figure it out piece by piece.

Update #1: Sol Ruca is the first confirmed entrant after defeating Lyra Valkyria and Maxxine Dupri.

Update #2: Lola Vice has joined Ruca in the match after defeating Raquel Rodriguez and Kelani Jordan.

Update #3: Jacy Jayne qualified for the match after defeating Alexa Bliss and Jade Cargill.

Update #4: Roxanne Perez became the fourth entrant after defeating Iyo Sky and La Catalina.

Update #5: Lash Legend has qualified for the match after defeating Charlotte Flair and Giulia.

Update #6: I was 50/50 on Tiffany Stratton or Tatum Paxley earning the final slot, but I leaned more toward Paxley. That was the wrong horse to bet on. Stratton came out on top.

With all those things in mind, I'm frankly at a loss for who might win this. The women's MITB has a 100% track record so far, and none of these women strike me as being in a position to win one of the two world titles around the WrestleMania season, so they either win and drop it before that (which feels like a rush), they're the first woman to lose their cash-in, or they keep it until after Mania and we're talking so many months from now that it's hard to imagine where they go. The person who strikes me as the most likely to at least carry the briefcase would be Jacy Jayne, so I guess I'm going with her. However, now that Stratton is in the mix, I do think there is a chance they revert back to their old storytelling trope of having Stratton turn heel on Chelsea Green to cash in and steal the belt from her, setting up a match between those two at WrestleMania, if they think Rhea Ripley and Bianca Belair have no chance of being back any time soon and aren't confident in anyone else in the women's division on SmackDown.

PREDICTION: Jacy Jayne wins.

World Heavyweight Championship Match: Roman Reigns (c) vs LA Knight

Roman Reigns retained the World Heavyweight Championship against Penta on Raw in Mexico City. After the show went off the air, LA Knight hit Reigns with a BFT, and Adam Pearce made this title match official the following day.

That Penta match was awesome. The announcement of the Knight match was lame. What a great way of showing that you're just not all that particularly interested in this and that LA Knight is your fill-in guy that you kill time with. They've done this what, three times now? They spend months with him trying to fight someone for the title and they drag it out like crazy, only to then go "I guess you'll fight at THIS event" as if they had other plans and this was the backup.

Obviously, Knight isn't going to win. There isn't a chance he's dethroning Reigns. That sucks that he's perennially in this type of role. I'm not saying he SHOULD win, but what I am saying is that he shouldn't be in this position to sit around like a loser who whines for months only to get title opportunities as a B-player who is guaranteed to always lose.

PREDICTION: Roman Reigns retains and the only thing interesting will be if something else happens during this segment.

Women's World Championship Match: Stephanie Vaquer (c) vs Becky Lynch vs Liv Morgan

Becky Lynch and Liv Morgan's No. 1 Contender's Match on Raw ended in a no-contest after everything broke down involving The Judgment Day and Stephanie Vaquer. Vaquer ultimately attacked both Lynch and Morgan and demanded that Adam Pearce give her both challengers at Money in the Bank, turning this into a Triple Threat Match.

I don't see Vaquer dropping the title this quickly after regaining it from Morgan in Chile. Having both Morgan and Lynch involved also gives WWE an easy way for Vaquer to retain without necessarily beating whichever challenger they want to protect, while the issues between Becky and Liv can keep going afterward.

PREDICTION: Stephanie Vaquer retains.

Oba Femi vs Bronson Reed

Oba Femi called out Bronson Reed on Raw and challenged him to settle things one-on-one at Money in the Bank. Reed came out alone as requested, accepted the challenge and signed the contract to make the match official. This whole feud with The Vision strikes me as just killing time to try to get to Royal Rumble and WrestleMania season for Femi to face Roman Reigns, so I'm going to say Reed either wins by some kind of massive interference, or this ends up being a dumb disqualification or no-contest type ending just to drag it out. Even if Femi outright wins clean, they're going to continue to feud AT LEAST into WarGames.

PREDICTION: Oba Femi wins, even if it's by disqualification, but if Reed wins, it will be due to shenanigans.
