AEW FORBIDDEN DOOR PREDICTIONS (as of 6/24/2026)
- I have to be honest, this concept of the Forbidden Door has outlived its usefulness. If you're one of those AEW fans who calls out when stuff like this happens in WWE, but doesn't recognize when the same thing happens in AEW, that's a problem. This has as much "Forbidden Door" elements to it as "Night of Champions" does to its original gimmick.
- Thekla beats Starlight Kid. Duh.
- I'm assuming Mercedes Mone wins the women's Owen Hart Cup again to face Thekla. I can't see Maya World getting that opportunity to be the top contender for the top women's title on the biggest show of the year in comparison.
- Will Ospreay beats Swerve Strickland. It'd be insane if all of this leads to STRICKLAND winning instead of Ospreay.
- After talking on the podcast, I've shifted my opinion of Kenny Omega beating Zack Sabre Jr. from a 50/50 to a firm Omega winning position.
- Team Briscoe beats Team MJF so that there's a match between those two to eat up some time before All In.
- Jon Moxley retains the continental title over Bandido. What a great company crossover thing, right? They'll have a good match, but it just feels like filler.
- Speaking of filler, The Divine Dominion are obviously retaining the women's tag team titles over Olympia and Thunder Rosa, and there is no way Cage and Cope drop their men's tag team titles to The Dogs, nor will Shota Umino lose the IWGP Global Heavyweight Championship to PAC.
- I guess The Young Bucks beat El Sky Team and Unbound Co. so they can keep building up themselves toward a future tag team title shot against Cage and Cope.
- Apologies if you don't like this quicker predictions format, but I'm juggling 4 events this week, so I'm kind of overworked and AEW events are usually the most straightforward "X wins because it's obvious." This event is even more so like that.
