Singles Match for the NXT Championship: Tony D'Angelo (c) vs. Naraku
This is kind of tough to call. Part of me says they'll just give the belt directly to Naraku, but an even bigger part of me says they don't NEED to do that and can easily just have Naraku lose and respectfully move on. D'Angelo is cycling through opponents pretty quickly, and it wouldn't be shocking to me if he lost and then moved up to the main roster since he's been there for years, but I also don't think there's anything at all pointing toward him NEEDING to move up right now, either, just the same. So since there isn't a necessity to go one way or the other from my perspective, I'm just going to play it safe and say the champion retains.
Update from 6/23: The whole fireball to the face angle was dumb.
PREDICTION: Tony D'Angelo wins.
Singles Match for the NXT Women's Championship: Lola Vice (c) vs. Kendal Grey
Everyone is gushing over Kendal Grey. She's good, but I don't think she's immediately the most important person on the roster who needs to win every title and get inducted into the WWE Hall of Fame. Calm down, everyone. She's still super new. You'll burn yourself out with your support and in no time, you'll be tired of her. Now is not the time for her to be champion, even if it will come at some point.
Frankly, I'm surprised she beat Kelani Jordan to win this title shot, to be honest, as I just assumed Vice would beat Jordan again and maybe pick up with Grey afterward. I guess it's the other way around? If that's the case, I think there's more of a chance Jordan wins the title from Vice, who moves up to the main roster eventually, while Grey might be a future Women's North American champion.
PREDICTION: Lola Vice retains.
Singles Match for the NXT North American Championship: Myles Borne (c) vs. Tavion Heights
Heights surely has to lose and officially just turn heel out of frustration, right? I don't think Borne has had a proper enough title reign yet to justify him dropping the title—least of all to Heights, who I feel is more here as an interesting opponent for Borne as his former tag team partner than "the guy who is going to beat him for it" when there are others who could be next in line that would make more sense to me, like Keanu Carver and Jackson Drake.PREDICTION: Myles Borne retains.
Saquon Shugars vs. Dion Lennox
I'm about 50/50 on this. More than likely, Shugars gets the win and that's the end of this feud. If WWE doesn't want to finish the DarkState split by now, though, Lennox winning is the better way to prolong it, I guess, maybe with some help from Osiris Griffin and Cutler James.PREDICTION: If I'm forced to pick right now, I'll go with Saquon Shugars winning.
Shiloh Hill vs. Tristan Angels
I like these two a lot. Hopefully, they'll put on a great show and continue to build up momentum for their careers. Since nothing is on the line, and Angels has taken a few losses lately, I think we'll see him come out on top of Hill here.PREDICTION: Tristan Angels wins.
Singles Match for the NXT Women's North American Championship: Zaria (c) vs Tatum Paxley
Surely they wouldn't take the title off Zaria just like that, right? I mean, they did it to Tatum Paxley, but still. Zaria could use not only this win, but a lot of other wins. She's in need of some rehabbing after being booked to lose so much over the past year. I'd hate to see Paxley lose, but I'm rooting for Zaria.PREDICTION: Zaria wins.
Singles Match for the WWE Speed Women's Championship: Wren Sinclair (c) vs Arianna Grace
The WrenQCC keep talking about how they'll leave this event with a title each. Not only do I not see Grey beating Vice, but I think Sinclair is also losing her title here to Grace. BirthRight keeps being held back from winning too much, but if they have both of the Speed titles, that's something, I guess.PREDICTION: Arianna Grace wins the title.
