WWE WrestleMania 2026 Spoilers

Singles Match for the World Heavyweight Championship: CM Punk (c) vs. Roman Reigns

Their initial promo to set this up on the February 2nd episode of Raw was very good, but I still think this isn't the right direction to go for either of these guys, nor for the title scene. I'm hoping I'm wrong about that, and the Road to WrestleMania and the match itself will more than make up for my skepticism, but I just feel like it's a default backup plan again to repeat the same thing from last year rather than to actually gamble on pushing someone new. That doesn't give me hopes for people like Oba Femi or hell, Bron Breakker, for that matter, if they're still not thinking he's ready.

PREDICTIONS: Roman Reigns wins.

Singles Match for the Women's World Championship: Stephanie Vaquer (c) vs. Liv Morgan

Don't let the stans fool you into thinking this feud has been great. It's been a limping rivalry that just happens to have two really good, really popular, really hot women and Dominik Mysterio involved, but the content itself has been crap.

PREDICTIONS: Liv Morgan wins.

Singles Match for the WWE Women's Championship: Jade Cargill (c) vs. Rhea Ripley

I'm surprised they went with Rhea Ripley, but I'm very glad it wasn't just a call to do another Tiffany Stratton match.

Since I'm still expecting Bianca Belair to be the one to dethrone Cargill, I'm expecting Ripley to come up short. But now, I'm even more curious what happens with Iyo Sky as opposed to anything that happens between Cargill and Ripley. They sure will make for a good marquee poster though, won't they? My wife is going to be conflicted on which of her crushes she'll have to support.

PREDICTIONS: Jade Cargill wins.

Singles Match for the Undisputed WWE Championship: Cody Rhodes (c) vs. Randy Orton

I see a lot of people annoyed at this being the match, and while I see some of those criticisms, I have to admit that I'm overall way more of a proponent of this than if it had been a multi-man match or some alternative. Usually, I'm the guy arguing for the multi-man match, too, which is strange.

Rhodes and Orton have a lot of history together. This is a natural story to tell. I don't think it will be the end of it, but it very well could just be a one-off. Instead, what I'm imagining is Aleister Black will be a go-between guy for both to feud with as they remain respectful of one another, but increasingly have some tension. Sami Zayn also gets involved, to continue to poke that bear, maybe even leading to a tag team match with Randy Orton and Cody Rhodes against Sami Zayn and Aleister Black in a weird way, if they're turning Sami heel.

I could see Orton winning the title, but I could also see Rhodes retaining and Orton taking him out after the match. Maybe he even punts him, if they want a big hook. Then, those two start to have a real feud with a full-blown heel Orton going after the belt to carry their story into the summer.

PREDICTIONS: Cody Rhodes retains.

Open Challenge: Brock Lesnar vs. Oba Femi

What SHOULD happen for the betterment of the future is that Oba Femi should certainly beat Brock Lesnar, and it should be a performance that is dominant enough that he looks strong, without it being a total squash. What WILL happen, most likely, is that WWE will get cold feet about doing something like that and will revert back to their typical philosophy that being in the ring on this stage with Lesnar is already "good enough" of a push for Femi, and he'll have a competitive match, but ultimately lose through some kind of low blow or something so that it protects Femi, but Lesnar doesn't lose. They'll argue that it was necessary for Lesnar to win in order to make him stronger for Gunther, and when the fans don't react as strongly to Femi for having lost, they'll blame it on him instead of their own booking.

PREDICTIONS: Brock Lesnar wins.

OTHER MATCHES I ASSUME WILL HAPPEN

Just for the sake of keeping track of some predictions that have no place yet, some things I would expect to take place are:

  • I had thought Finn Balor would likely win the Men's Intercontinental Championship from Dominik Mysterio, but since Penta won it, I guess it might be a Triple Threat? Maybe a Fatal 4-Way if someone like Je'Von Evans gets thrown in there over the coming weeks?
  • I expect AJ Lee to face Becky Lynch in a rematch for the Women's Intercontinental Championship, but now that she's set up her open challenge idea and will have the gauntlet match to determine at least one future title shot, does that happen on Raw or at this show? I'd assume on Raw, and depending on who that challenger is, that could influence Mania, too. I tend to think it'll just be another Lynch match, though.
  • I don't think Giulia will be on the card for WrestleMania to defend the Women's United States Championship, to be honest. They're not going to put every belt on there, and they don't seem to really care about her. If she is defending it here or on the SmackDown prior, I'd expect Tiffany Stratton or Jordynne Grace to be involved, possibly Chelsea Green if she's healthy, but nobody is actually doing anything with Giulia lately. She's been relegated to taking a back seat to Kiana James in their tag team. Maybe they're going to be lumped into that instead? That would be a shame, as they already have enough of those tag teams as well.
  • I expect a multi-team match for the Women's Tag Team Championship with The Irresistible Forces, Alexa Bliss & Charlotte Flair, The Bella Twins, and I'm guessing The Kabuki Warriors and Bayley & Lyra Valkyria, but there could be more. I also think that might get bumped to SmackDown or Raw if The Bella Twins aren't involved, but if they are in it, then it's probably at Mania and they win the titles.
  • It would be just like WWE to have Carmelo Hayes do an open challenge for the Men's United States Championship on SmackDown instead of at WrestleMania, and for that to be Ilja Dragunov having that match, finally. I would be shocked if that was booked for Mania itself, despite how those two would absolutely tear down the house if they had that platform and hype. Here's hoping I'm wrong, and they give them the opportunity.
  • Andre the Giant Memorial Battle Royal on SmackDown, probably, considering that's where they've been doing it for years. A few guys I could see being relegated to that spot would be Matt Cardona, Johnny Gargano, The Miz, Damian Priest, Rey Fenix, Kit Wilson, R-Truth, Danhausen, etc. Does Royce Keys get a spot here to win?
  • El Grande Americano vs. Original El Grande Americano happens either here or at a show for AAA, but that's up in the air.
  • Gunther fights Rey Mysterio, I guess?
  • If Oba Femi doesn't face Brock Lesnar, then I'm worried he'll end up not being on this card.
  • The Usos against Logan Paul and Austin Theory for the World Tag Team Championship seems like a safe bet.
  • I don't think the MFTs are going to be defending the tag team titles at Mania. I could see them also being on the SmackDown episode instead, either with those belts on the line or against The Wyatt Sicks, or just something between Solo Sikoa and Bo Dallas over that lantern.

This page will be altered on a regular basis to reflect changes to the show including any new matches added to the lineup, adjustments to the card, revised predictions and any other information about this event. Stay tuned for the latest updates!
