No. 1 Contender's Match: Best Friends vs. Private Party

RESULT: Best Friends won by pinfall.
THOUGHTS: This was about what I expected it to be. If you missed it, it's nothing, but if you wanted to whet your appetite, it did its job. The right team won.

MAIN CARD

Casino Ladder Match

RESULT: Brian Cage won.
THOUGHTS: Good match, but not as great as I was hoping it would be. I'm fond of Brian Cage being the surprise entrant and the winner.

MJF vs. Jungle Boy

RESULT: MJF won by pinfall.
THOUGHTS: Not bad. These two have some good chemistry together. Not super memorable, but I enjoyed it.

AEW TNT Championship Tournament Final: Cody vs. Lance Archer

RESULT: Cody won the title by pinfall
THOUGHTS: Good match with the right winner. I'm not digging that title belt design, though. The red strap pops too much. But I've seen worse, too.

Penelope Ford vs. Kris Statlander

RESULT: Kris Statlander won by pinfall.
THOUGHTS: Nothing much to this. It was a match. It was fine. It wasn't their original idea, so...good enough.

Dustin Rhodes vs. Shawn Spears

RESULT: Dustin Rhodes won by pinfall.
THOUGHTS: This was lame. Spears in his underwear is something a lot of people would hate if this were WWE, but they'll laugh about it here because it's AEW. Rhodes winning doesn't do anything but hurt Spears' credibility.

AEW Women's World Championship No Disqualification Match: Nyla Rose (c) vs. Hikaru Shida

RESULT: Hikaru Shida won the title by pinfall
THOUGHTS: When a No DQ match is basically just a regular match with a kendo stick, it loses points in my book. I get that they were trying to tell a bit of a story with that being a focal point, but I don't think they harped on that enough to pull that off. I'm glad Shida won, but the match itself wasn't wowing me.

AEW World Championship Match: Jon Moxley (c) vs. Mr. Brodie Lee

RESULT: Jon Moxley retained the title by referee stoppage with a sleeper hold.
THOUGHTS: Brodie Lee didn't tap out, but passed out. That's a decent enough way to end a match that would have been much better had it have been No DQ.

Stadium Stampede Match: The Inner Circle vs. The Elite

RESULT: The Elite won by pinfall.
THOUGHTS: This was a ton of fun and my favorite part of the night, hands down. If you're going to watch anything from this show, watch this.
