AEW Double or Nothing 2020 Spoilers

AEW TNT Championship Tournament Final: Cody vs. Lance Archer

Called that tournament, but the ultimate test is whether or not my pick that Cody will win will come true. To me, it just makes more sense. Archer can eventually challenge for the world title, but Cody can't. This can be Cody's belt to play around with.

It's weird that Mike Tyson is presenting the title to the winner.

PREDICTION: Cody wins.

AEW World Championship Match: Jon Moxley (c) vs. Brodie Lee

I got the random hunch of Brodie Lee getting the title shot correct. I consider that a win. This should be one of those beatemup matches where they have something to show for WWE not giving them the creative outlet they wanted. Hopefully, they prove themselves right and have a truly awesome match. I don't think it'll be some five-star classic, but there's a lot of potential for it to be a rock solid brawl.

PREDICTION: Jon Moxley wins.

Casino Ladder Match

"Casino Battle Royale" was a pun based on Casino Royale and Battle Royale. What the hell is a "Casino Ladder Match" other than how they couldn't call it Money in the Bank? That's lame, and replacing the briefcase with a poker chip and making people enter in intervals doesn't change it up in a better way.

The match itself could potentially be great, though. It's a ladder match. Those are fun.

Announced participants = Colt Cabana, Darby Allin, Frankie Kazarian, Kip Sabian, Luchasaurus, Orange Cassidy, Rey Fenix, Scorpio Sky + 1 more TBA

That mystery person is the key to all this. The only two people outside of that surprise opponent who I think have a chance are Darby Allin and Scorpio Sky. Both have had some video packages and promotional material hyping them up, as well as serious singles run potential.

But that mystery person is too tempting to pass up. Will it be a former WWE star, or is this even going to be Sting? Is it some indie guy I know nothing about who will get a big push? No idea.

PREDICTION: The mystery person wins. If not him, it goes to Allin or Sky (leaning toward Sky)

MJF vs. Jungle Boy

This is a filler match with not much going on for it, but it should be interesting. Jungle Boy should put up a good fight and then lose.

PREDICTION: MJF wins.

Stadium Stampede Match: The Inner Circle (Chris Jericho, Jake Hager, Sammy Guevara, Santana and Ortiz) vs. The Elite (Hangman Adam Page, Kenny Omega, Matt Jackson, Nick Jackson and Matt Hardy)

So...this is just going to be a Falls Count Anywhere match, right? Curious why they went with this instead of Blood & Guts.

I do think they'll do the B&G match down the line, which is why I think The Elite wins this. That way, The Inner Circle has something to complain about and want to get their revenge, as well as making this 1-1 as The Inner Circle won the previous brawl around Daily's Place.

This should be a lot of fun. I'm looking forward to it.

PREDICTION: The Elite wins.

AEW Women's World Championship No Disqualification Match: Nyla Rose (c) vs. Hikaru Shida

This makes perfect sense. Shida was one of the few women to be wrestling over the course of these past weeks and she's maintained her spot as the top ranked woman in the division for a while now. Normally, I would say it's too soon to take the belt off Rose, but who else is going to feud with her over it and dethrone her? If Shida wins, she can drop it to Baker at All Out and since this is No DQ, there's more of a chance Shida can win in a way that makes Rose not look at bad.

PREDICTION: Hikaru Shida wins.

Dr. Britt Baker, D.M.D. vs. Kris Statlander

So they're just doing a match because.....because. Meh. I don't really care about this non-feud and I don't think this will be one of the better matches of the night.

PREDICTION: Britt Baker wins.

Buy In: Best Friends vs. Private Party (No. 1 Contender's Match)

They've had more time dedicated to Best Friends over the past month or so than Private Party. I also think they might have Page and Omega drop the tag titles so that Trent and Chuck Taylor can eventually feud with (and potentially lose the titles to) Lucha Bros/Death Triangle and/or Dark Order. It wouldn't shock me if Private Party were to win, though. It's kind of 50/50 even.

PREDICTION: Best Friends win.

Dustin Rhodes vs. Shawn Spears

Well, hey, at least Spears is on the card and will probably get a win, right?

PREDICTION: Shawn Spears wins.
