WWE Power Rankings Top 10 Superstars This Week: #464 - Edge Bows Out In Toronto

Posted by Callum Wiggins Saturday, August 19, 2023

Welcome to another edition of POWER RANKINGS from Smark Out Moment! Each week, we will break down the current roster and examine who has gone up the WWE hierarchy and who has unfortunately taken a step down the ladder. Factoring in things such as wins and losses, suspensions, injuries, making a name for oneself, being humiliated, and more, who is at the top of the food chain and who needs to make up some ground next week?

Here is the key code for the rankings shorthand when referencing their position in relation to the previous week:

NR = Not included in last week's rankings at all

+ Green = the number of moves up in the rankings compared to last week

- Red = the number of moves down in the rankings compared to last week

Honorable Mentions = five superstars who just barely missed the cut

Power Ranking WWE wrestlers list roster

10. Edge [NR]

For what could be his last appearance ever on the Power Rankings, Edge defeated Sheamus on SmackDown in front of his hometown crowd. With his contract now expired, his wrestling future is now very much up in the air.

9. Damage CTRL [-4]

It didn't take long for Iyo Sky's momentum to hit the skids, as the WWE Women's Champion teamed with Bayley in a loss to Bianca Belair & Charlotte Flair on SmackDown.

8. The Family [NR]

The Family a successful first defense of their NXT Tag Team Championships on Tuesday with their victory over The Dyad.

7. Bianca Belair [+1]

Bianca Belair returned to SmackDown to team with Charlotte Flair in a win over Damage CTRL, but was later taken out in a backstage attack.

6. Imperium [No Change]

A mixed week for Imperium on Raw opposite the Alpha Academy, as Giovanni Vinci was pinned by Chad Gable, but Gunther flattened Otis.

5. The Bloodline [-2]

No major advancement in the ongoing Bloodline storyline on SmackDown, as it was simply Paul Heyman cutting a promo explaining the current situation.

4. Cody Rhodes [+3]

In the Raw main event, Cody Rhodes took advantage of miscommunication by Judgment Day to defeat Finn Balor.

3. Seth Rollins [-1]

After last week's attack by Shinsuke Nakamura, Seth Rollins confronted him in the ring ahead of a likely World Heavyweight Championship match at Payback.

2. Judgment Day [+2]

Rhea Ripley scored a comfortable win over Indi Hartwell on Raw, and while Finn Balor did suffer a loss to Cody Rhodes, the faction did stand tall at the end of the show.

1. LWO [No Change]

New United States Champion Rey Mysterio appeared alongside Santos Escobar on the Grayson Waller Effect, and watched as Austin Theory earned a rematch for the title.

HONORABLE MENTIONS

Sami Zayn - With Kevin Owens still on the shelf, Sami Zayn beat JD McDonagh in Raw's opener.

Alpha Academy - Chad Gable beat Giovanni Vinci on Raw in preparation for his Intercontinental Championship shot.

Wes Lee - By defeating Dijak on NXT, Wes Lee earned the next opportunity at Carmelo Hayes' NXT Championship.

Austin Theory - A tainted victory over LA Knight on SmackDown means Austin Theory will have a chance to reclaim his United States Championship.

The Street Profits - Back with a new attitude and finisher, The Street Profits beat The OC's Gallows & Anderson on SmackDown.

The Power Rankings Table (since WrestleMania 39)

  1. Judgment Day - 20 weeks (6 weeks at #1)
  2. Kevin Owens & Sami Zayn - 18 weeks (4 weeks at #1)
  3. Seth Rollins - 15 weeks (1 week at #1)
  4. Austin Theory - 12 weeks
  5. Bianca Belair - 11 weeks (4 weeks at #1)
  6. Jey Uso/Jimmy Uso - 10 weeks (2 weeks at #1)
  7. Raquel Rodriguez - 9 weeks
  8. Damage CTRL - 9 weeks
  9. The Bloodline - 8 weeks (2 weeks at #1)
  10. Shayna Baszler - 7 weeks
