Each week, we will break down the current roster and examine who has gone up the WWE hierarchy and who has unfortunately taken a step down the ladder. Factoring in things such as wins and losses, suspensions, injuries, making a name for oneself, being humiliated, and more, who is at the top of the food chain and who needs to make up some ground next week?

10. The Irresistible Forces [NR]

In SmackDown's opening contest, The Irresistible Forces emerged victorious in tag team action against Chelsea Green & Tiffany Stratton, with Nia Jax pinning Green to cement her position as a challenger for the Interim WWE Women's Championship.

9. Baron Corbin [-4]

The Men's United States Champion remains incredibly confident about his upcoming Five-Minute Challenge Match with Lil Yachty at Sunday Night's Main Event.

8. Kali Armstrong [NR]

Thanks to her victory over the current Women's North American Champion Zaria on NXT, Kali Armstrong inserted herself into Heatwave's Title Unification Match also featuring the Women's Speed Champion Wren Sinclair.

7. PENTA [NR]

PENTA pushed past LA Parka to reach the final of the lucha-themed World Heavyweight Championship Tournament, where he will battle an opponent he is very familiar with…

6. Chad Gable [-3]

No match this week for Chad Gable after last week's successful Men's Intercontinental Championship defense, but he did exchange words with a potential new challenger in the form of Ethan Page.

5. Birthright [+1]

The entire unit of Birthright banded together on NXT in a winning effort against Noam Dar, Romeo Moreno, Sean Legacy & Dorian Van Dux in an Eight-Man Tag.

4. The MFTs [-2]

The WWE Tag Team Champions were restricted to just a vignette on this week's SmackDown, as they await new challengers for their titles.

3. Rey Fenix [+6]

It was a case of one week, two wins for Rey Fenix. First, on Raw, he defeated Dragon Lee to reach the finals of the World Heavyweight Championship Tournament, setting up a final against his brother PENTA. But Fenix then rocked up on NXT to successfully defend his AAA Cruiserweight Championship over EK Prosper.

2. CM Punk [-1]

CM Punk watched as Kevin Owens, Finn Balor and Gunther battled to become the next challenger for his WWE Men's Championship. But, Sami Zayn's interference ruined that match, leaving his next title defense up in the air.

1. Fatal Influence [+3]

Jacy Jayne's first defense of her newly won Women's United States Championship was a successful one, as she defeated the veteran Paige in front of her Fatal Influence partners.

HONORABLE MENTIONS

Stephanie Vaquer - In her first match back from injury, Stephanie Vaquer overcame Judgment Day's whipping girl Roxanne Perez.

Big Cass - It was a night of returns on Raw, as it also featured Big Cass's first WWE match since 2018, as the giant swatted away Je'Von Evans.

Saquon Shugars - A Weaponized Steel Cage settled the beef between former DarkState teammates Saquon Shugars and Dion Lennox, with Shugars coming out on top.

Keanu Carver - Also on NXT, Keanu Carver picked up a win against another up-and-comer, Kam Hendrix.

Tatum Paxley - In her SmackDown debut, Tatum Paxley beat Michin with her new "friends" Charlotte Flair & Alexa Bliss cheering her on.

Sol Ruca continues her recent fine form after losing the Women's Intercontinental Championship with a victory on Raw over Lyra Valkyria, as Ruca puts herself in the discussion for future championship opportunities.

9. Rey Fenix [NR]

The luchador-focused tournament to crown a new World Heavyweight Championship challenger continued on Raw, with Rey Fenix securing a semi-final spot with his win against AAA's El Fiscal.

8. Dragon Lee [NR]

Rey Fenix is joined by Dragon Lee in the final four of the tournament, as Lee pinned El Hijo de Dr Wagner Jr to get one step closer to a title match with Roman Reigns.

7. Myles Borne & Tavion Heights [-2]

The NXT Tag Team Champions watched as Jackson Drake stole a win from Shiloh Hill on Tuesday night, meaning Myles Borne will need to do double-duty at Heatwave to defend both his belts.

6. Lexis King [NR]

While the Women's Speed Championship is soon to be merged with the Women's North American Championship, the Men's Speed Championship remains around the waist of Lexis King after he beat Lucien Price on Tuesday's NXT.

5. Baron Corbin [-2]

The Men's United States Champion laid the challenge for Sunday Night's Main Event – if Lil Yachty can survive 5 minutes with Baron Corbin, Trick Williams will get another chance to win back the gold.

4. Fatal Influence [-3]

Now in possession of both the Women's United States Championship and the Women's Tag Team Championships, Fatal Influence took a night off to gloat, with Paige, Tiffany Stratton & Chelsea Green the targets of their ridicule.

3. Chad Gable [+4]

Chad Gable's first defense of his newly won Men's Intercontinental Championship was a successful one, defeating the legendary Rey Mysterio to set his reign on a positive course.

2. The MFTs [+2]

After capturing the WWE Tag Team Championships last week, The MFTs were tasked with defending those belts against the former champs Damian Priest & R-Truth on SmackDown. They passed this test, and will be hoping for a reign even longer than their predecessors.

1. CM Punk [+1]

The first-ever match between CM Punk and Kevin Owens ended in controversy, but with Punk's WWE Championship reign still intact. Interference by Sami Zayn allowed Punk to pick up the pin over Owens, but he was laid out with the title by Zayn immediately after.

Je'Von Evans - On Raw, Je'Von Evans scored a win over JD McDonagh, but still finds himself in the crosshairs of Big Cass.

EK Prosper - Emerging victorious over Romeo Moreno, Tristan Angels and LA Parka, EK Prosper earned a shot at Rey Fenix's AAA World Cruiserweight Championship.

Jackson Drake - By beating Shiloh Hill on NXT, Jackson Drake won the right to challenge for the Men's North American Championship, while the rest of Vanity Project wil fight for the NXT Tag Team Championships.

Kelani Jordan & Kali Armstrong - This duo picked up an impressive victory over NXT Women's Champion Kendal Grey and Women's Speed Champion Wren Sinclair.

Lash Legend - On SmackDown, Lash Legend stepped up with a win against former Women's United States Champion Tiffany Stratton.

Despite the unfortunate injury to her orbital bone that threatened to cut her Interim WWE Women's Championship reign short, Chelsea Green did show up on SmackDown, only to see her friend Tiffany Stratton lose her Women's United States Championship.

9. Jey Uso [NR]

With his victory over little brother Solo Sikoa in Raw's main event, Jey Uso will force Sikoa to rejoin The Bloodline on next week's episode.

8. PENTA [NR]

The luchador-focused Number One Contender's Tournament for the World Heavyweight Championship kicked off on Raw, as the favorite PENTA advanced over Laredo Kid.

7. Chad Gable [-3]

Meanwhile, after he beat PENTA at SummerSlam to win the Men's Intercontinental Championship, Chad Gable set his sights on a title defense against another legendary luchador when he challenged Rey Mysterio on Raw.

6. Zaria [NR]

The Women's North American Championship remained around Zaria's waist after she defeated Wren Sinclair on NXT, but they will have another match at Heatwave to unify both that title and Sinclair's Women's Speed Championship.

5. Myles Borne & Tavion Heights [-3]

The new NXT Tag Team Champions accepted Vanity Project's challenge for Heatwave, which could see Myles Borne defending both the tag titles and his Men's North American Championship back to back.

After an absurdly long reign for Damian Priest & R-Truth, The MFTs recaptured the WWE Tag Team Championships on SmackDown in a Triple Threat match also involving War Raiders.

3. Baron Corbin [NR]

Since returning to WWE around a month ago, Baron Corbin captured the Men's United States Championship at SummerSlam, retained it in a rematch with Trick Williams, and this week enjoyed a second straight defense against Carmelo Hayes.

2. CM Punk [-1]

WWE Men's Champion CM Punk engaged in another heated promo battle with Kevin Owens, digging into their past and their well-established animosity toward one another.

1. Fatal Influence [+2]

Fatal Influence now firmly controls the midcard of the SmackDown women's division, as Jacy Jayne overcame Tiffany Stratton to add the Women's United States Championship to Fallon Henley & Lainey Reid's Women's Tag Team Championships.

Austin Theory - In the latest instalment of the feud between The Vision and Alpha Academy, Austin Theory picked up a win over Akira Tozawa.

Stepping into the Underground for the first time, Kendal Grey got the better of Lola Vice in Vice's signature match, extending her burgeoning reign as NXT Women's Champion.

The main event of SummerSlam Night 1 took place inside Hell in a Cell, where Oba Femi finally established himself as the Next Big Thing, conquering Brock Lesnar and sending him into "retirement".

7. Liv Morgan [NR]

While Liv Morgan fell short against Iyo Sky in last month's Queen of the Ring Final, she showed up when it mattered most. In the SummerSlam opener, Morgan defeated Sky to retain her Women's World Championship.

6. Chelsea Green [NR]

In a moment that many people have waited a long time for (not me), Chelsea Green literally and figuratively climbed the ladder to become the Interim WWE Women's Champion at SummerSlam. And with Rhea Ripley set to be on the sidelines for a lot longer than anticipated, Green could soon become the lineal champ.

5. Roman Reigns [NR]

SummerSlam ended with a match nearly 15 years in the making, as Roman Reigns finally defeated Seth Rollins in a big match scenario, retaining the World Heavyweight Championship and asserting himself as the best member of The Shield (who still works for WWE).

4. Chad Gable [+5]

10 years since he arrived on the WWE main roster, Chad Gable finally captured his first-ever singles title when he pinned Pentagon for the Men's Intercontinental Championship at SummerSlam.

3. Fatal Influence [+4]

Fatal Influence continued to establish themselves as the pillars of the women's tag division at SummerSlam, beating The Bella Twins & Paige in a Six-Woman Tag. They then showed up on SmackDown to defend their Women's Tag Team Championships over Chelsea Green & Tiffany Stratton.

2. Myles Borne & Tavion Heights [+2]

Myles Borne became the latest in a growing line of double champions on Tuesday's NXT, as the Men's North American Champion added the NXT Tag Team Championship to his collection when he and Tavion Heights defeated Vanity Project.

1. CM Punk [+2]

In a 30-minute back-and-forth battle marred by some interference from Randy Orton, CM Punk emerged victorious over Cody Rhodes with his reign as WWE Men's Champion still firmly intact.

HONORABLE MENTIONS

Gunther - After months of frustration with management, Gunther put SmackDown GM Nick Aldis in his place at SummerSlam.

Kevin Owens - Night 2 of SummerSlam opened with the much-celebrated return of Kevin Owens, as he overcame Sami Zayn, Finn Balor & Gunther to earn the next shot at the WWE Men's Championship.

Baron Corbin - Less than a month after returning to WWE, Baron Corbin already holds gold after he beat Trick Williams at SummerSlam for the Men's United States Championship.

Danhausen - In SummerSlam's ridiculous Human Monies on a Pole Match, Danhausen's fireworks allowed him to score the win over Dominik Mysterio.

Charlotte Flair - While she couldn't capture the Interim WWE Women's Championship at SummerSlam, Charlotte Flair did defeat Jade Cargill one-on-one on SmackDown.

Jade Cargill's henchwomen Michin & B-Fab have proved to be a fairly formidable tag team, picking up their latest win on SmackDown against Tiffany Stratton & Chelsea Green.

Chad Gable and PENTA exchanged promos on Raw as they built up their Men's Intercontinental Championship match at SummerSlam.

8. Lash Legend [NR]

2 minutes. That's how long it took Lash Legend to defeat Giulia on SmackDown and secure her place in the Interim WWE Women's Championship Ladder Match at SummerSlam.

7. Fatal Influence [-4]

Despite now holding the Women's Tag Team Championships, Fatal Influence were nowhere to be found on Raw or SmackDown as they await SummerSlam's Six-Woman Tag versus The Bella Twins & Paige.

6. Rey Fenix [NR]

As soon as I drop him from my Fantasy League team, Rey Fenix goes back to defending his AAA Cruiserweight Championship on SmackDown. This time, it was JD McDonagh who failed to capture Fenix's gold.

5. Tony D'Angelo [-3]

The NXT Men's World Champion stepped up to newcomer Cruz Montana after their exchange last week, and interference from Grayson Waller left Tony D'Angelo laid out by Montana.

4. Myles Borne [NR]

Factoring in things such as wins and losses, suspensions, injuries, making a name for oneself, being humiliated, and more, who is at the top of the food chain and who needs to make up some ground next week?

After their pair of victories last week, The Vanity Project took a week off as they await new challengers for the NXT Tag Team Championships.

9. Chelsea Green [NR]

The 5-Way Ladder Match to crown an Interim WWE Women's Champion shaped up further this week, with Chelsea Green earning a spot by beating Kiana James on SmackDown.

8. Finn Balor [NR]

SmackDown's main event determined who would fight Sami Zayn at SummerSlam to become the top contender for the WWE Men's Championship. It was Finn Balor who outlasted Damian Priest, Trick Williams and Royce Keys to secure that opportunity.

7. Cody Rhodes [NR]

Speaking of the WWE Men's Championship, the current number one contender Cody Rhodes teamed with the champ CM Punk to a victory over Gunther & Sami Zayn at Saturday Night's Main Event.

6. Kendal Grey [-5]

The NXT Women's Champion accepted Lola Vice's challenge for their title bout to be an Underground Match, a match type that Vice has never lost before.

In Raw's opening contest, the World Tag Team Champions picked up a win over Je'Von Evans & Dragon Lee to assert their control over the division.

4. Chad Gable [+2]

After running the gauntlet on last week's show, Chad Gable joined forces with his SummerSlam opponent PENTA in a winning effort against Ethan Page & Rusev.

New Women's Tag Team Champions were crowned at Saturday Night's Main Event, as Fatal Influence's Fallon Henley & Lainey Reid ended the inexplicably long reign of Paige & Brie Bella in typically messy fashion.

2. Tony D'Angelo [NR]

For the second straight time, Tony D'Angelo got the better of NARAKU to retain the NXT Men's Championship in their Street Fight, but seemingly caught the attention of NXT's newest signing. If only I knew what their name was…

At Saturday Night's Main Event, CM Punk's friendship with Cody Rhodes saw them emerge victorious over Gunther & Sami Zayn. But the two got into heated words on SmackDown as they build towards their WWE Men's Championship clash at SummerSlam.

Danhausen - Thanks to a big helping hand from Karl Anthony-Towns, Danhausen scored a pin against JD McDonagh at Saturday Night's Main Event.

Lyra Valkyria - Former partners turned foes finally came to a head at Saturday Night's Main Event, as Lyra Valkyria decimated Bayley on her route to victory.

Joe Hendry - Aiding Danhausen in his feud with The Judgment Day, Joe Hendry picked up a win over Dominik Mysterio on Raw.

Jacob Fatu - Raw's main event saw Jacob Fatu successfully represent The Bloodline by defeating LA Knight.

Jaida Parker - In her ongoing battles with Team Nattie, Jaida Parker earned yet another win, this time against Nattie herself.

With Rhea Ripley set to miss SummerSlam with her torn meniscus, it's time for desperate measures. There will be a 5-Way Ladder Match to crown an Interim WWE Women's Champion at the PPV, and Tiffany Stratton earned the first spot by beating Jacy Jayne on SmackDown.

9. Jade Cargill [No Change]

Joining Stratton at SummerSlam will be Jade Cargill. Charlotte Flair attacked Cargill during her qualifying match with Nia Jax on SmackDown, causing Cargill to advance via disqualification.

8. Lola Vice [NR]

Lola Vice earned an opportunity to instantly reclaim the NXT Women's Championship from Kendal Grey after she defeated Kelani Jordan and Kali Armstrong in Tuesday's main event.

7. The Vision [-4]

The Vision celebrated its World Tag Team Championship victory last week and the official start of Austin Theory & Maxxine Dupri's relationship, set in stone by them assaulting Dupri's former friends in Alpha Academy.

6. Chad Gable [NR]

Speaking of Alpha Academy, its former leader Chad Gable ran the gauntlet on Raw, with victories over Rusev and Ethan Page securing an opportunity to battle PENTA for the Men's Intercontinental Championship at SummerSlam.

5. Iyo Sky [+3]

As she prepares to challenge Liv Morgan for the Women's World Championship at SummerSlam, Iyo Sky picked up a win over Morgan's Judgment Day teammate Roxanne Perez in Raw's opening match.

4. CM Punk [-2]

CM Punk watched his current SummerSlam opponent Cody Rhodes's back on SmackDown in his main event bout with Gunther, before a brawl involving all three men and Sami Zayn broke out to set up their tag team battle at Saturday Night's Main Event.

3. Zaria [NR]

With Layla Diggs ruled out due to injury, Zaria instead defended her Women's North American Championship against Izzi Dame, Lizzy Rain and Nikkita Lyons in a Fatal Four-Way, emerging victorious with her title reign still intact.

2. The Vanity Project [NR]

All three members of The Vanity Project saw success on Tuesday's edition of NXT. First, Ricky Smokes & Brad Baylor retained the NXT Tag Team Championships against Sean Legacy & Dorian Van Dux in the night's opener. Later on, Jackson Drake came out on top over Tavion Heights.

1. Kendal Grey [No Change]

The NXT Women's Champion stays atop the Power Rankings after nobody did enough to knock her off her perch, as she watched Lola Vice become the next challenger for her title on Tuesday's show.

Je'Von Evans - Despite not winning Raw's Gauntlet match, Je'Von Evans did put up a good performance, with wins over Dominik Mysterio and Dragon Lee.

NARAKU - On NXT, NARAKU scored his latest win, this time against Tate Wilder, as he pursues another shot at the NXT Men's Championship.

Finn Balor - It was back-to-back wins over the former MFTs on SmackDown for Finn Balor, this week against Talla Tonga.

The War Raiders - Chasing a chance at the WWE Tag Team Championships, The War Raiders defeated Fraxiom on SmackDown.

Cody Rhodes - Although it was just by disqualification, Cody Rhodes picked up yet another win over Gunther on SmackDown.

10. Sean Legacy & Dorian Van Dux [NR]

In a four-team battle to determine the next challengers for The Vanity Project's NXT Tag Team Championships, Sean Legacy & Dorian Van Dux overcame more established teams in DarkState, The Birthright and OTM to earn this opportunity.

9. Jade Cargill [NR]

Having bounced back from her disappointing defeat to Tiffany Stratton at Night of Champions, Jade Cargill upped the aggression on SmackDown by not only defeating Alexa Bliss, but seemingly putting her on the shelf with a steel chair assault on her elbow.

8. Iyo Sky [-5]

No match for the Queen of the Ring this week, but Iyo Sky did make her presence felt in the Women's Intercontinental Championship match between Sol Ruca and Raquel Rodriguez. Sky's attack on Liv Morgan at ringside helped lead to Ruca's retention.

7. Layla Diggs [NR]

Fatal Four-Way number one contender's matches were a theme on this week's NXT, as the newcomer Layla Diggs moonsaulted her way to victory against Izzi Dame, Lizzy Rain and Thea Hail to secure a shot at Zaria's Women's North American Championship.

6. Oba Femi [-4]

With his Hell in a Cell match with Brock Lesnar set for SummerSlam, Oba Femi showed that he'll have to carry the bulk of the build for the PPV in his promo segment with Paul Heyman on Raw.

5. Sol Ruca [NR]

As mentioned earlier, Sol Ruca continued her reign as Women's Intercontinental Champion on Raw by defeating Raquel Rodriguez, thanks in no small part to the distraction caused by Iyo Sky and Liv Morgan's brawl at ringside.

4. Sami Zayn [-3]

Sami Zayn's fleeting romance with the WWE Men's Championship was over almost as soon as it began, although not in the way he anticipated. Expecting to defend against Cody Rhodes on Raw, his unavailability allowed CM Punk to capitalize.

3. The Vision [NR]

Only a few weeks after losing the World Tag Team Championships, The Vision have the belts back in their possession. Thanks to a low blow by Austin Theory's new squeeze Maxxine Dupri, Theory & Bron Breakker got the better of The Street Profits to claim hold of the gold.

2. CM Punk [NR]

15 years on from that famous night in Chicago at Money in the Bank 2011, CM Punk reappeared again in his hometown to beat Sami Zayn and capture the "real" WWE Men's Championship for the first time since his famous 434-day reign ended in 2013.

The new standard bearer of the NXT Women's division Kendal Grey enjoyed a successful first title defense on Tuesday's show over the veteran Natalya.

Ethan Page & Rusev - With many jostling for a shot at the Men's Intercontinental Championship, Ethan Page & Rusev helped bolster their claim with a win over Chad Gable & Dragon Lee on Raw.

Keanu Carver - On NXT, Keanu Carver picked up a win over Tank Ledger to jumpstart his rise up the ranks.

Niko Vance - Thanks to interference from Tristan Angels, Niko Vance secured the victory against Shiloh Hill on NXT.

Finn Balor - Despite the presence of Talla Tonga at ringside, Finn Balor beat his former Bullet Club cohort Tama Tonga on SmackDown.

Jimmy Uso - Entering a rare run of form, Jimmy Uso scored a win on SmackDown over the increasingly hapless Royce Keys.
