AEW Title Change: New TNT Champion Crowned at AEW Full Gear 2022

Posted by Anthony Mango Saturday, November 19, 2022

The AEW TNT Championship has changed hands as Samoa Joe defeated Powerhouse Hobbs and then-champion Wardlow to win the title at AEW Full Gear on November 19, 2022.

My immediate reaction: I'm a big fan of Samoa Joe and I didn't want to see Wardlow lose this title by taking the loss on his own. This accomplishes both. I would have been fine with Hobbs winning or Wardlow retaining, though. But hey, Joe as TNT champion? I'm down for it, so long as Wardlow doesn't lose his push, and I don't think that's going to happen based on the outcome here.

Since this happened, be sure to check out the updated full list of title changes for this year and the list of current champions and my predictions for who will take the belts away from them.
