WWE Power Rankings Top 10 Superstars This Week: #335 - When Surviving The Chamber Is Not Enough… | Smark Out Moment

Welcome to another edition of POWER RANKINGS from Smark Out Moment! Each week, we will break down the current roster and examine who has gone up the WWE hierarchy and who has unfortunately taken a step down the ladder. Factoring in things such as wins and losses, suspensions, injuries, making a name for one's self, being humiliated, and more, who is at the top of the food chain and who needs to make up some ground next week?

Here is the key code for the rankings shorthand when referencing their position in relation to the previous week:

NR = Not included in last week's rankings at all

+ Green = the number of moves up in the rankings compared to last week

- Red = the number of moves down in the rankings compared to last week

Honorable Mentions = five superstars who just barely missed the cut

Power Ranking WWE wrestlers list roster

10. Karrion Kross [NR]

After weeks of tension and threats, Karrion Kross finally got his hands on Santos Escobar on Wednesday's NXT. Despite constant interference from Legata del Fantasma, Kross overcame the odds and pinned the Cruiserweight Champion in dominant fashion.

9. MSK [-5]

After the high of winning the Dusty Rhodes Tag Team Classic a couple of weeks ago, MSK was sent crashing down to earth on NXT. They were attacked backstage by runners-up The Grizzled Young Veterans, seemingly injuring Wes Lee's hand in the process.

8. Riddle [NR]

Elimination Chamber saw the crowning of a new United States Champion, as Riddle took advantage of the Triple Threat rules to pin John Morrison to capture the title from his longtime rival Bobby Lashley.

7. Big E [-5]

Following his vicious assault at the hands of Apollo Crews and the steel steps on last week's SmackDown, Big E was absent from Friday's show.

6. Bianca Belair [-3]

At Elimination Chamber, Bianca Belair & Sasha Banks were unable to take the Women's Tag Team Championships from Shayna Baszler & Nia Jax. Transition onto SmackDown, and Belair officially made the challenge to battle Banks for the SmackDown Women's Championship at WrestleMania 37.

5. Io Shirai [+2]

In a rare television match for the NXT Women's Champion, Io Shirai defeated the upstart Zoey Stark in a competitive contest, before being challenged for her title once again by Toni Storm.

4. Miz & Morrison [NR]

It finally happened – The Miz cashed in his Money in the Bank briefcase and overcame a broken and beaten Drew McIntyre to become a 2-time WWE Champion. But, based on the events of Monday's Raw, it seems unlikely that this reign will be especially long. Meanwhile, John Morrison went 0-2 in battles against Riddle throughout the week.

3. Shayna Baszler & Nia Jax [NR]

Within the space of 24 hours, Nia Jax was able to pin both the SmackDown and Raw Women's Champions in tag team matches. Shayna Baszler & Jax beat Sasha Banks & Bianca Belair at Elimination Chamber, and followed this up with a win over Asuka & Charlotte Flair on Raw.

2. The Hurt Business [+3]

It is odd for The Hurt Business to lose the United States Championship this week and rise up the Power Rankings. But Bobby Lashley now has a bigger prize in his sights, as he helped The Miz win the WWE Championship from Drew McIntyre, then beat Braun Strowman to earn a title match next week. Plus, Shelton Benjamin & Cedric Alexander defeated Lucha House Party on Raw.

1. Roman Reigns [No Change]

Roman Reigns took full advantage of his beneficial position at Elimination Chamber to easily retain his Universal Championship over Daniel Bryan, who had just minutes earlier overcome 5 other men to earn the title opportunity.

HONORABLE MENTIONS

Daniel Bryan - As noted, Daniel Bryan won his third Elimination Chamber match on Sunday, outlasting Jey Uso, Cesaro, Kevin Owens, Sami Zayn and King Corbin. But, he did not have the energy to defeat Roman Reigns for the Universal Championship immediately afterwards, and then battled to a double-countout with Uso on SmackDown.

Drew McIntyre - Much like Daniel Bryan earlier in the night, Drew McIntyre won a grueling Elimination Chamber match over AJ Styles, Sheamus, Jeff Hardy, Kofi Kingston and Randy Orton, only to then be attacked post-match by Bobby Lashley and left as easy prey for The Miz to take McIntyre's WWE Championship.

Dexter Lumis - The conflicted artist/kidnapper Dexter Lumis scored a win over the North American Champion Johnny Gargano on Wednesday night, which will likely put him in line for a future title shot.

Xia Li - The more focused and vicious Xia Li was in full display on this week's NXT, as she destroyed the leg of Kacy Catanzaro resulting in a referee's stoppage.

Otis & Chad Gable - Two wins out of two for the more aggressive Otis & Chad Gable tandem, as they earned a comprehensive win over Rey & Dominick Mysterio.

The Power Rankings Table (since WrestleMania 36)

  1. Drew McIntyre - 41 weeks (8 weeks at #1)
  2. Asuka - 38 weeks (11 weeks at #1)
  3. The Hurt Business - 35 weeks (8 weeks at #1)
  4. Sasha Banks - 27 weeks (8 weeks at #1)
  5. Roman Reigns - 26 weeks (7 weeks at #1)
  6. AJ Styles - 24 weeks (1 week at #1)
  7. Big E - 19 weeks (1 week at #1)
  8. Bayley - 18 weeks (8 weeks at #1)
  9. Braun Strowman - 17 weeks (1 week at #1)
  10. Charlotte Flair - 17 weeks (1 week at #1)
