WWE Power Rankings Top 10 Superstars This Week: #330 - Two-Tournament NXT | Smark Out Moment

WWE Power Rankings Top 10 Superstars This Week: #330 - Two-Tournament NXT

Posted by Callum Wiggins Saturday, January 23, 2021

Welcome to another edition of POWER RANKINGS from Smark Out Moment! Each week, we will break down the current roster and examine who has gone up the WWE hierarchy and who has unfortunately taken a step down the ladder. Factoring in things such as wins and losses, suspensions, injuries, making a name for one's self, being humiliated, and more, who is at the top of the food chain and who needs to make up some ground next week?

Here is the key code for the rankings shorthand when referencing their position in relation to the previous week:

NR = Not included in last week's rankings at all

+ Green = the number of moves up in the rankings compared to last week

- Red = the number of moves down in the rankings compared to last week

Honorable Mentions = five superstars who just barely missed the cut

Power Ranking WWE wrestlers list roster

10. Cesaro [NR]

After last week's victory over Daniel Bryan, Cesaro continued to build momentum heading into the Royal Rumble with a win over Dolph Ziggler on SmackDown.

9. Kushida [NR]

For the second time in three weeks, Kushida scored a pinfall over North American Champion Johnny Gargano, this time in helping he and Leon Ruff progress to the next round of the Dusty Rhodes Tag Team Classic.

8. Alexa Bliss [NR]

Due to the transformative powers she has inherited from The Fiend, Alexa Bliss was able to defeat Raw Women's Champion Asuka in Monday night's main event.

7. Timothy Thatcher [NR]

Proving once and for all to Tommaso Ciampa that he is more than just a bully, Timothy Thatcher forced the former NXT Champion to tap out inside the Fight Pit in NXT's main event.

6. Charlotte Flair [NR]

Two wins in a week for one-half of the Women's Tag Team Champions. Charlotte Flair overcame Peyton Royce on Raw despite a distraction by Lacey Evans, and then teamed with Asuka to defeat The Riott Squad on SmackDown.

5. Asuka [No Change]

A mixed week for Asuka. On the singles front, the Raw Women's Champion fell to a possessed Alexa Bliss on Monday night. But she continues to reign supreme in the tag team scene, as her and Charlotte Flair beat The Riott Squad on SmackDown.

4. Big E [No Change]

Big E was unable to complete his Intercontinental Championship defense against Apollo Crews on SmackDown because of Sami Zayn's interference, causing a DQ by kicking the hell out of both men.

3. Roman Reigns [-1]

Just when Roman Reigns thought he would take his time in dismantling Adam Pearce on SmackDown, Kevin Owens appeared to give the Tribal Chief some long-awaited comeuppance, leaving Reigns unusually on the back foot in this feud.

2. AJ Styles [+1]

Another week, another win against a midcard no-hoper for AJ Styles. Although at least this week's victory over Ricochet on Raw featured one of the most acrobatic Styles Clashes in history.

1. The Hurt Business [No Change]

No change at the top of the Power Rankings as despite serious in-fighting within The Hurt Business, they still picked up a win on Raw over Riddle & Lucha House Party in a Six-Man Tag.

HONORABLE MENTIONS

Retribution - After dispatching of Ricochet, Xavier Woods is the next midcarder to consistently lose to Retribution members, this week falling to Mace.

Kacy Catanzaro & Kayden Carter - The high-flying duo of Kacy Catanzaro & Kayden Carter was the first team to progress in the Women's Dusty Rhodes Tag Team Classic, beating the veterans of Toni Storm & Mercedes Martinez.

Kay Lee Ray - Across the pond in NXT UK, Kay Lee Ray continued her historic reign as Women's Champion, successfully defending her title against Jinny.

Sasha Banks - In a rare intergender match on SmackDown, Sasha Banks comfortably overcame Carmella's sommelier Reginald.

King Corbin - Another victory over a Mysterio family member on SmackDown for King Corbin, this week handily beating young Dominic.

The Power Rankings Table (since WrestleMania 36)

  1. Drew McIntyre - 39 weeks (8 weeks at #1)
