AEW Dynamite Results: Fyter Fest July 1, 2020 Highlights

Tonight's episode of All Elite Wrestling Dynamite for July 1, 2020 was the first half of Fyter Fest 2020 and took place at Daily's Place in Jacksonville, Florida. Here are the results of the show including highlights of all the matches, the winners, promos and more!

TV Results for All Elite Wrestling Wednesday Night Dynamite

  • Chris Jericho is on commentary for the evening, who comes out in a very festive Canada blazer. Jericho almost immediately verbally attacks Excalibur.
  • MJF cuts a promo noting how it feels like deja vu as he keeps beating Jungle Boy and Luchasaurus. MJF brings up the ratings war and how MJF equals a ratings win.
  • Jungle Boy and Luchasaurus defeated MJF and Wardlow by pinfall.
  • Archer and Joey Janela have a small fight outside of the ring and have to be pulled apart by a referee.
  • A promo package airs for Hikaru Shida vs Penelope Ford.
  • Hikaru Shida defeated Penelope Ford by pinfall to retain the AEW Women's Championship.
  • We get a video package to highlight the threat of Jon Moxley's finisher, highlighting the difficulty he would have in hitting it on Brian Cage due to his muscular nature.
  • Cody defeated Jake Hager by pinfall to retain the AEW TNT Championship.
  • Jake Hager knocks out the referee post match in frustration as he believed he had won the match.
  • Orang Cassidy comes out to sit at the announcers table, infuriating Chris Jericho in the process. Jericho highlights he won't retaliate as he has a job to do tonight.
  • Private Party defeated Santana and Ortiz by pinfall.
  • Chris Jericho attempts to take out Orange Cassidy post match, but he is restrained by a number of wrestlers and referees.
  • Kenny Omega and Hangman Page are interviewed backstage. They confidently state that they will once again retain their AEW Tag Team Championship.
  • Jim Ross shares that Chris Jericho has left commentary for the evening.
  • Jon Moxley vs Brian Cage will now take place at Fight for the Fallen on July 15, 2020.
  • Brian cage and Taz come to the ring, with Taz addressing the delay to the AEW World Championship match. They are not upset as they learned from Tony Khan that Jon Moxley has been tested twice at home for COVID-19, only to receive two negative results. This means Moxley has the chicken shits, and Cage will become the next AEW World Champion.
  • Hangman Page and Kenny Omega defeated Best Friends to retain the AEW Tag Team Championship.
  • FTR enter the ring and offer Hangman Page and Kenny Omega a beer each. All four men share a drink in the ring before Omega pours his drink onto the ring canvas. This brings out The Young Bucks to keep the peace as we go off air.
