WWE Power Rankings Top 10 Superstars This Week: #296 - The Build To Backlash | Smark Out Moment
Welcome to another edition of POWER RANKINGS from Smark Out Moment! Each week, we will break down the current roster and examine who has gone up the WWE hierarchy and who has unfortunately taken a step down the ladder. Factoring in things such as wins and losses, suspensions, injuries, making a name for one's self, being humiliated, and more, who is at the top of the food chain and who needs to make up some ground next week?

Here is the key code for the rankings shorthand when referencing their position in relation to the previous week:

NR = Not included in last week's rankings at all
+ Green = the number of moves up in the rankings compared to last week
- Red = the number of moves down in the rankings compared to last week
Honorable Mentions = five superstars who just barely missed the cut

Power Ranking WWE wrestlers list roster

10. Jeff Hardy [NR]

Although it came by the skin of his teeth, Jeff Hardy was able to defeat Sheamus on SmackDown and advance to the semi-final of the Intercontinental Championship tournament, where he will battle Daniel Bryan.

9. Shayna Baszler [NR]

For the second straight week Shayna Baszler demonstrated her superiority over Natalya, forcing the veteran to submit in their match on Raw.

8. AJ Styles [NR]

Now officially a member of the SmackDown roster, AJ Styles celebrated his return to Team Blue by defeating his erstwhile rival Shinsuke Nakamura to set up a clash with Elias in the semi-final of the Intercontinental Championship tournament.

7. The Undisputed Era [+3]

Roderick Strong was able to get a measure of revenge against a recent thorn in the Undisputed Era's side on NXT when he defeated Dexter Lumis. Of course, this was followed by Strong, Adam Cole and Bobby Fish getting laid out by Lumis and The Velveteen Dream.

6. Heavy Machinery [-1]

Otis and his sweetheart Mandy Rose teamed up on SmackDown, but their love couldn't overcome the viciousness of Sonya Deville and Dolph Ziggler, with the Show-Off kicking Otis' head off post-match.

5. Charlotte Flair [-1]

The Queen was literally EVERYWHERE this week. Charlotte Flair's week started strong with a dominant win over Ruby Riott on Raw. But then she ruined a great NXT main event by attacking both Rhea Ripley and Io Shirai, and then lost to SmackDown Women's Champion Bayley on Friday.

4. The Role Models [+4]

Bayley picked up more bragging rights over Charlotte Flair on SmackDown. The SmackDown Women's Champion defeated the NXT Women's Champion without Sasha Banks at ringside, but thanks to a big assist of the ropes during her pin attempt.

3. The Kabuki Warriors [No Change]

Following her recent Raw Women's Championship win, Asuka received a big celebration on Raw with her good friend Kairi Sane. However, the party was stopped by Nia Jax, who made her intentions to defeat Asuka and capture the gold herself very clear.

2. Braun Strowman [No Change]

With his feud with Bray Wyatt shelved for the time being, Braun Strowman's attention has turned to the tiresome twosome of Miz & Morrison. On SmackDown the Universal Champion squashed The Miz with ease, before being challenged to a Handicap Match at Backlash.

1. Drew McIntyre [No Change]

Another week, another win for Drew McIntyre. The WWE Champion is on the roll of his life, defeating SmackDown's King Corbin in a brand invitation match on Raw. But, his sights are now locked on Bobby Lashley, who has firmly established himself as McIntyre's next challenger.

HONORABLE MENTIONS

Apollo Crews - Making a big return from his short injury, Apollo Crews teamed with Kevin Owens to defeat Andrade & Angel Garza and put himself back into the United States Championship picture.

Bobby Lashley - Bobby Lashley's hot streak continued on Raw as he defeated R-Truth (or Pretty Ricky) with consummate ease.

Sonya Deville - Sonya Deville continues to have the number of her former BFF Mandy Rose, as she teamed with Dolph Ziggler to defeat Rose & Otis in a Mixed Tag on SmackDown.

El Hijo del Fantasma - El Hijo del Fantasma cemented his spot in the finals of the Interim Cruiserweight Championship tournament by overcoming Akira Tozawa on NXT.

Drake Maverick - Keeping his dream alive, Drake Maverick got a shock win against Kushida on NXT, meaning next week a Triple Threat between Maverick, Kushida and Jake Atlas will decide who meets El Hijo del Fantasma for the Interim Cruiserweight Championship.
