This 2012 WWE releases list is a year-by-year archive of WWE Superstars, wrestlers and on-screen talent who left the company during 2012. This resource tracks confirmed releases, roster departures, developmental exits, contract expirations and clearly labeled storyline firings from that calendar year.

WWE SUPERSTARS RELEASED IN 2012:

  • April 30 - Brie Bella and Nikki Bella left WWE after their contracts expired.
  • May 6 - Goldust was released by WWE.
  • May 22 - Chase Owens finished his WWE developmental/tryout stint.
  • June 28 - Maxine left WWE after choosing to leave the company.
  • July 2 - Armando Estrada and Kharma were released by WWE.
  • July 13 - Hacksaw Jim Duggan left WWE.
  • August 10 - Abraham Washington was released by WWE.
  • August 11 - Caylee Turner was released by WWE.
  • August 21 - Tyler Reks requested and received his WWE release.
  • August 22 - Sofia Cortez was released by WWE.
  • September 17 - Sakamoto was released by WWE.
  • September 28 - Kelly Kelly was released by WWE.
  • September 30 - Raquel Diaz left WWE.
  • October 11 - J. Bronson was released by WWE.
  • October 29 - Beth Phoenix left WWE after finishing her contract.
  • November 16 - Chad Baxter was released by WWE.
  • November 18 - Nick Rogers was released by WWE.
  • November 20 - Donovan was released by WWE.
  • November 21 - Richie Steamboat finished with WWE due to injuries and was later moved away from active competition.
  • November 30 - Kenneth Cameron was released by WWE.

WWE KAYFABE FIRINGS / STORYLINE EXITS IN 2012:

  • May 14 - Big Show was fired by John Laurinaitis in storyline on Raw.
  • June 17 - John Laurinaitis was fired as Raw and SmackDown general manager in storyline at No Way Out.
