This 2010 WWE releases list is a year-by-year archive of WWE Superstars, wrestlers and on-screen talent who left the company during 2010. This resource tracks confirmed releases, roster departures, developmental exits, contract expirations and clearly labeled storyline firings from that calendar year.

WWE SUPERSTARS RELEASED IN 2010:

  • January 4 - Tommy Dreamer left WWE.
  • January 17 - Eric Escobar was released by WWE.
  • February 26 - Maria Kanellis, Paul Burchill and Hurricane Helms were released by WWE.
  • February 28 - Charlie Haas was released by WWE.
  • March 29 - Shawn Michaels retired from in-ring competition after WrestleMania XXVI.
  • April 22 - Funaki, Jimmy Wang Yang, Katie Lea Burchill, Shelton Benjamin and Slam Master J were released by WWE.
  • April 23 - Mickie James and Mike Knox were released by WWE.
  • April 30 - Tony Atlas was released by WWE.
  • May 21 - Carlito was released by WWE.
  • May 24 - Batista quit WWE in storyline and then left the company.
  • June 11 - Daniel Bryan was released by WWE and later returned at SummerSlam.
  • June 21 - Virgil finished his WWE run.
  • June 23 - Savannah was released by WWE.
  • August 27 - Alex Koslov and Serena Deeb were released by WWE.
  • September 27 - Chris Jericho finished his WWE run for the year.
  • October 4 - Michael Tarver was released from the Nexus storyline and later left WWE.
  • October 15 - Matt Hardy was released by WWE.
  • November 19 - Caylen Croft, Jillian Hall, Vance Archer, Luke Gallows, Shad Gaspard and Tiffany were released by WWE.
  • December 2 - MVP was released by WWE.
  • December 23 - Kaval was released by WWE.
  • December 27 - Jackson Andrews was released by WWE.

WWE KAYFABE FIRINGS / STORYLINE EXITS IN 2010:

  • 🎭 November 22 - John Cena was fired in storyline by Wade Barrett after Survivor Series, then continued appearing during the angle and was reinstated.
