WWE Evolution 2025 will take place at the State Farm Arena in Atlanta, Georgia on Sunday, July 13, 2025. Follow along here for spoilers and information on the premium live event's card, lineup of matches and news regarding the pay-per-view.

The following are my predictions for the 2025 WWE Evolution PPV. Check back for Evolution 2025 results and review coverage here when the time comes.

WWE Evolution 2025 Spoilers

NXT Women's Championship Match: Jacy Jayne (c) vs Jordynne Grace

I was surprised at a number of times the belt did or didn't change hands over the past year, so I can admit that my track record hasn't been fantastic lately regarding the NXT Women's Championship. However, I'll say that I'm going to assume Jordynne Grace wins the title here, in part to Blake Monroe helping out to offset Fallon Henley and Jazmyn Nyx. That way, there's an historic title change, Jayne gets to be champion in a transitional phase so Grace didn't beat Stephanie Vaquer, Monroe can feud with Jayne and Fatal Influence after this without the title while Grace can have her run and move up to the main roster at some point in 2026, and it basically checks off all the boxes. Mariah May will either be the one who beats Grace or the one who beats the one who takes the title off Grace. 

PREDICTION: Jordynne Grace wins the title.

Battle Royal for a Championship Match at WWE Clash in Paris

The participants of the battle royal haven't been announced yet (at least as of this most recent edit to this post) except Stephanie Vaquer. She would have been my top pick to win this regardless of who else gets announced. This will primarily be the means for "everyone else" to get on the card, which could feature lots of NXT talent, possibly people from EVOLVE and LFG, and some legends. But you're going to see people like Michin and B-Fab and Ivy Nile here. Vaquer will be one of the biggest names, if not the absolute most important of the bunch. Until someone else on her level gets announced, I'll stick with her.

PREDICTION: Stephanie Vaquer wins.

Women's Tag Team Championship Fatal 4-Way Match: Raquel Rodriguez & Roxanne Perez (c) vs. TBA RAW Team vs. Alexa Bliss & Charlotte Flair vs. TBA NXT Team

We don't know the Raw and NXT teams yet, but there aren't a lot of options for who that could be. Actually, the only options on Raw are Natalya & Maxxine Dupri or if they keep Asuka & Kairi Sane together as The Kabuki Warriors. I'd go with ZARUCA as my NXT team over Izzi Dame and Tatum Paxley or any other option.

PREDICTION: Alexa Bliss and Charlotte Flair win.

Women's World Championship Match: IYO SKY (c) vs. Rhea Ripley

"We'll come back around to giving the title to Ripley." I bet that's what they were saying around WrestleMania. She's never beaten Iyo, so she wins here, everyone celebrates, and that sets up Ripley defending the title at SummerSlam to get her on that card. Maybe she fights Asuka, or maybe someone else steps up, but I don't think they're doing Asuka versus Iyo anymore as the SummerSlam match now that this has been announced.

This match will be good, as they tend to deliver, but I do feel like WWE is banking a little too much on the idea that people will think this is an epic can't-miss never-fail feud and that they just want to see the match, like how Tony Khan books AEW, and that there isn't enough of an interesting hook of a storyline for my personal tastes.

Back in the day, when there wasn't so much television, live wrestling markets were selling tickets based on you not being able to see a match at your own whim. If you missed the show, you just read about it in a newspaper or heard from someone else what happened, and they could run the same match 20 times because the audience was likely different. That isn't the case anymore, so you could always just go on the network and watch their old matches if you want to revisit them. If there isn't an interesting enough hook of why this is going to be different, then why do a repeat just for the sake of a copycat? 

PREDICTION: Rhea Ripley wins. 

Triple Threat Match for the WWE Women's Intercontinental Championship: Becky Lynch (c) vs. Bayley vs. Lyra Valkyria

I had thought that there was a chance Bayley would beat Becky for this belt and then drop it to Roxanne Perez. Now, I'm leaning more toward Becky retains and eventually (maybe at SummerSlam) drops it to Stephanie Vaquer. Bayley and Lyra will get in each other's ways and Lynch will capitalize.

PREDICTION: Becky Lynch retains.

No Holds Barred Match: Jade Cargill vs. Naomi

Naomi loses this, which helps explain why she doesn't cash in her Money in the Bank? Or does Naomi lose this, yet still cashes in MITB and steals it from Tiffany Stratton to set up another match against Jade Cargill at SummerSlam? I think more so we're seeing Jade against Tiffany and Naomi will be a factor afterward, but I don't think this is by any means over between Jade and Naomi.

PREDICTION: Jade Cargill wins.

Singles Match for the WWE Women's Championship: Tiffany Stratton (c) vs. Trish Stratus

Tiffany Stratton definitely retains. There is absolutely no way she loses the title to Trish Stratus. Trish is there to have a spotlight type "dream match" fantasy and that's it.

PREDICTION: Tiffany Stratton wins.

WWE Evolution 2019 Results

Welcome to another edition of WOMEN'S WRESTLING WEEKLY—a rundown of the events which have transpired in the world of women's professional wrestling over the past several days not just with the Superstars on WWE programming, but with Impact Wrestling's Knockouts, Lucha Underground's luchadoras, and even a glimpse at the women on the independent circuit.

Covering Evolution here feels rather redundant, so I'll direct you to the review I did with the ever-awesome Jordan Chaffiotte, and Smark Out Moment's live coverage of the event. Enjoy!



Alicia Fox, Mickie James & The Riott Squad vs. Sasha Banks, Bayley, Natalya, Trish Stratus & Lita

To celebrate progress in women's wrestling Raw threw literally everyone (okay not EVERYONE, but you catch my drift) into a massive clusterf*#$ of a tag match. Snark aside, it was a lot of fun. Everyone got their shots in, and Lita and Trish haven't lost a step int he slightest. Seriously, it's a bit unfair. That being said, as is the norm with 10-person tags, I had trouble following along with everything that happened. However, I give Raw a pass because, well... Trish and Lita.

Following some Twist of Fate goodness from Lita, Natalya locked in the Sharpshooter on Fox for the win.

Winners: The faces, I'm too lazy to list all of those names again

Ember Moon vs. Nia Jax

How nice. After a phenomenal battle royal showing at Evolution where it was clear that Moon was a crowd favorite, Moon is used as a prop for Jax in the build to her feud with Tamina Snuka.

Whatever. Jax won with a leg drop.

Winner: Nia Jax
Rating: 1.5/5



Becky Lynch is the man. That's all I gotta say. Elsewhere on the show, Paige really wants Charlotte to captain SmackDown's Survivor Series team.



Tessa Blanchard vs. Taya Valkyrie (Knockouts Championship match)

Impact really is going all in on this feud, and I ain't even mad. Tessa Blanchard and Taya Valkyrie can both go, and their chemistry is electrifying. These heelish badasses are intensely physical every time they meet, and this match was no exception. This week, Taya took Tessa to the limit, so much so that the third-generation wrestler had to punch a ref and disqualify herself to retain her title.

I love this for many reasons. First, it's just kinda hilarious. Second, it's great to see that this feud will live a little longer at the very least. I'm here for this, and I'm excited as hell.

Winner: Taya Valkyrie (via DQ, so Tessa keeps her title)

Kobra Moon, Daga & Jeremiah Snake vs. Ivelisse, XO Lishus & Sammy Guevara vs. The Rabbit Tribe (Trios Championship match)

I don't know much about Captain Vasquez, other than her name being close to mine, but it appears she holds the secret to...immortality? What?

Anyways, the matches! What a fun night for Lucha Underground. As the season reaches its climax, the matches keep on delivering. This match was exactly what you'd expect a banger trios match to be. The Rabbit Tribe went first, and Ivelisse and Kobra Moon both shined. Despite a valiant effort by Ivelisse and the gang, however, they couldn't overcome the Reptile Tribe, who retained their title.

Winners: The Reptile Tribe
Rating: 3.5/5

Taya Mundo vs. Ricky Mundo

Taya...Mundo, yes, that's who she is in THIS show, took on the man who, and I quote, "ruined her f*cking wedding," and it was as fun as you'd expect. She won, of course, enacting her revenge with a brutal curb stomp into a crossface for the victory by submission.

Winner: Taya Mundo
Rating: 3/5



Nikki Cross vs. Mercedes Martinez

Um, okay??? I never knew I needed this matchup on NXT until I saw it??? The crowd seemed about as excited to see this matchup as I was. Cross won with the Purge, and she and Martinez had a fun little showing of odd respect before Candace LeRae came out, looking very, um, goth. She mouthed at Cross as the crazy one retreated. Aleister Black emerged and demanded to know Johnny's whereabouts before telling LeRae her husband was gone.

Ouch.

Well, to put it simply, I love this. LeRae and Cross together always has me hyped, and I can't help but enjoy this accidental alliance between Black and Cross. I'm excited to see where this goes!

Winner: Nikki Cross

Have you ever watched an episode of this show and just thought, "I mean yeah, this is a total setup and nothing about this feels real?" If your answer is no, you're a liar and I'm calling you out right now.

Paige and Nia Jax went out to try "real life" jobs since Paige can no longer wrestle (disregarding her gig as a GM, but whatever). Paige was bad at these jobs, which was amusing. Nia, having worked in the real world before, was like her lighthouse as they competed in minimum wage jobs that some people can't walk away from.

Meanwhile, Rusev and Lana had a little heart to heart about Rusev's impatience for he and Lana to have children, since taking time off to have kids could jeopardize Lana's career. In the end, after throwing Birdie (I know, it's confusing) a Bulgarian birthday party, they get on the same page.

I'll re-state what I wrote in my review of Evolution: "It was brutal, physical and emotional. Charlotte was like the Terminator rising from the ashes and reminding everyone why she’s a mainstay at the top of SmackDown. Becky Lynch was a bonafide star. The crowd was absolutely behind her, and she played into it with the type of egotistical pride that has made her “heel” turn so incredible. I’ve re-watched this match several times, and I will probably watch it again before the end of the year. This is everything women’s wrestling in WWE can and should be. Becky and Charlotte should be proud."



Look at her Twitter. Watch her with a microphone in her hand. She is, far and away, the hottest thing on SmackDown, and it isn't even close.

Hello, everyone! It’s your friendly neighborhood Women’s Wrestling Weekly columnist Gabby Velasquez and contributing writer Jordan Chaffiotte! Three guesses as to what we’re discussing today.

Alright, take a deep breath. That pay-per-view really did just happen. Wipe away your tears from the promotional material, pick your jaws up from the floor and join us for a review of the action. It’s been a few days, so we’ve had time to really digest what went down and discuss it here!

For this review, Jordan Chaffiote will be tackling the build to the show, the battle royal, the Mae Young Classic final and the NXT Women's Championship match while Gabby Velasquez will cover the two tag matches, the Raw and SmackDown Women's Championship matches and where women's wrestling goes from here.

The Build

Chaffiotte: When Evolution was first announced, we were months away and I, being the sweet summer child that I am, assumed that meant they would use the time to build multiple storylines. They instead chose to tread the same ground over and over, announce matches via Twitter, and throw everyone in the hot tub once we got close to the event. The exception to this critique is Becky and Charlotte who proved to be the most intense feud of 2018. They spent their time wisely and used external means, namely social media, to really give this a big fight feel. If they had done this across the board, we wouldn't have been so distracted by Crown Jewel.

The Battle Royal 

Chaffiotte: This was my big surprise of the night. Battle Royals feel a little inconsequential in WWE, most of the WrestleMania winners have gotten a brief push before falling further down the card. It was disappointing not to see any NXT/NXT UK women in it, but the women who did participate really gave it their all. I'm a theater nerd turned wrestling fan, so stories are always the best way to get my attention. They managed to tell multiple great stories throughout this match. It was fun to see a little bit of dissension between Mandy Rose and Sonya Deville, Ivory dance with Carmella, and Ember Moon eliminate Asuka. Zelina Vega almost winning was a jump out of your seat moment and overall, Nia Jax is a solid choice. This was one of the best Battle Royals I've seen and well exceeded my expectations.

The Tag Matches 

Velasquez: Women’s tag matches hold an interesting spot in the history of women’s wrestling, especially in WWE. Typically, tag matches are used as an excuse to bundle women in a neat little match and lump several feuds together. However, in Evolution, it felt like it was something more. Trish Stratus and Lita bring a sense of bigness to every appearance they give. They wrestled like it was still the easiest thing in the world for them. And although it was disappointing to not have Alexa Bliss in the match, Mickie James and Trish Stratus reuniting was reason enough to have me in tears of nostalgic joy.

While one tag match was about appreciating the trailblazers of the past, the six-woman tag between Sasha Banks, Bayley and Natalya and the Riott Squad was about the women of the present. I was pleasantly surprised by how much I enjoyed this class considering we’ve been bogged down with variations of this exact six-woman tag for so long. The main difference here, I think, was time. These women are all exceptionally talented, and they were given the chance to showcase that.

The Future 

Chaffiotte: What a great showing from the future of WWE. Io Shirai and Toni Storm tore the house down with their performance. I have been incredibly impressed by Toni throughout the MYC, how she expresses her emotions in the ring and sells like a boss for everyone else. This wasn't my favorite match of the tournament, but it was still truly excellent. I had called Toni Storm as my winner early on after seeing her match against Shayna Baszler at the UK Tournament. She continues, time after time, to prove that she is one of the brightest stars WWE has at the moment.This clearly meant the world to her, and it was the only match on this card to make me cry. Which, of course, isn't to discount Io's contribution to the match. If she had come out on top, it would've been totally earned and believable.

Meanwhile, the character development for Shanya was incredible. Let's face it, heels are easy. It's not hard to slap a "just a mean dude" label on someone and have them cheat and say mean things on Twitter. Heels that feel real, that's hard. Shayna feels real. The video promos they did for her were excellent, they made me believe her. For a moment, I almost was rooting for her, because she was right, she made a mistake and it cost her the title. Of course, she's enough of a classic heel to remind me I don't like her a moment later, but that doubt is crucial in wrestling. If I have one compliant, I thought the interference of the other 2 Horsewomen went on maybe one or two too many. Really they only needed to do it once at a pivotal moment to get the point across. It didn't need to directly impact the finish. Kairi is great but she needs more of a climb right now. Or, when WWE gets it together and makes women's tag belts, she and Io can team up and run roughshod.

The Title Matches

Velasquez: I’ll save the best match for last, so let’s tackle Ronda vs. Nikki. My issues with how their match was built are well-documented, so I’ll just say this: it still feels weird to somehow frame Ronda as the central figure of the women’s wrestling movement. Did her pop culture rise contribute to WWE changing its stance on women? Perhaps, and if so, then good. But she’s still new. She arrived in an environment that was ready for her aura because of the foundation laid by the likes of Sasha Banks, Charlotte, Becky Lynch, Bayley and the like. She and Nikki put on a good match, but they did not steal the show.

That honor goes right to Becky Lynch and Charlotte, who put on one of the best women’s matches I have ever seen...ever. It was brutal, physical and emotional. Charlotte was like the Terminator rising from the ashes and reminding everyone why she’s a mainstay at the top of SmackDown. Becky Lynch was a bonafide star. The crowd was absolutely behind her, and she played into it with the type of egotistical pride that has made her “heel” turn so incredible. I’ve re-watched this match several times, and I will probably watch it again before the end of the year. This is everything women’s wrestling in WWE can and should be. Becky and Charlotte should be proud.

Where Next?

Velasquez: The cynic in me says that the women of WWE will still be plagued by the same issues: over-focus on Ronda Rousey, clunkily written feuds that show no understanding of how women actually interact and, of course, six-woman tags for women who don’t have any actual storylines going on.

But here’s the thing: this still happened. It’s still incredible.

I will continue to critique how WWE presents its feminism to the world and its lack of female voices in its writing rooms. But it would be unfair to dismiss the work of Performance Center coaches like Sara Amato and the company's female referees. And though change is slow, this is something to build on. I believe that we will look back on this event as one of the things that led to women main-eventing WrestleMania. This was a product of a changing outlook on women in sports and entertainment both.

We're on our way, folks. I truly believe that.

All that being said...screw Crown Jewel. Women's wrestling forever.

WWE Evolution 2018 Results

The kickoff consists entirely of red carpet interviews, video packages and pre-show panel analysis. The only decent part was R-Truth saying that he was going to compete in the battle royal and fight Carmella for the SmackDown Women's Championship.

Alicia Fox and Mickie James vs. Trish Stratus and Lita

RESULT: Trish Stratus and Lita win by pinfall.
THOUGHTS: Couple of hiccups, but this was fine.

No. 1 Contender's Battle Royal

RESULT: Nia Jax wins and earns a title shot.
THOUGHTS: This was a lot of fun! Really disappointed there wasn't a single NXT woman in the mix, but I still thoroughly enjoyed this from top to bottom.

Mae Young Classic Final: Io Shirai vs. Toni Storm

RESULT: Toni Storm wins the tournament by pinfall.
THOUGHTS: Not the best match of the Mae Young Classic, but I don't have any real complaints.

Six-Woman Tag Team Match: The Riott Squad vs. Bayley, Sasha Banks and Natalya

RESULT: Bayley, Sasha Banks and Natalya win by pinfall.
THOUGHTS: The six women here put on a better match than WWE gave them reason to. The build for this was atrocious and they did their best to make it feel like it mattered, even though it didn't, at all.

NXT Women's Championship Match: Kairi Sane (c) vs. Shayna Baszler

RESULT: Shayna Baszler wins the title by submission!
THOUGHTS: Not their best match, but it was still solid.

SmackDown Women's Championship Last Woman Standing Match: Becky Lynch (c) vs. Charlotte Flair

RESULT: Becky Lynch retains the title
THOUGHTS: Best match of the night. Awesome.

Raw Women's Championship Match: Ronda Rousey (c) vs. Nikki Bella

RESULT: Ronda Rousey retains the title by submission
THOUGHTS: Better than I had expected, but you're not going to hear me saying it's Match of the Year or anything like that. I'm not that delusional.

Welcome to another edition of the Smark Out Moment pay-per-view predictions contest where you'll be able to test your skills in guessing what WWE's creative team has in store for the card.

This edition is the WWE Evolution 2018 pay-per-view event scheduled for this Sunday, October 28th at Nassau Veterans Memorial Coliseum in Uniondale, New York

The following are the matches currently scheduled for the show at the moment, although the card is always subject to change:

The following are my predictions for the 2018 WWE Evolution PPV. Check back for Evolution 2018 results and review coverage here when the time comes..

WWE Evolution 2018 Spoilers

Raw Women's Championship Match: Ronda Rousey (c) vs. Nikki Bella

This is going to be a mess, but at least it isn't Brie Bella who's getting the title shot. It makes sense WWE would want to book a popular person against Rousey, but we all know the end result is going to be awful.

PREDICTION: Ronda Rousey retains the championship by submission.


SmackDown Women's Championship Last Woman Standing Match: Becky Lynch (c) vs. Charlotte Flair

WWE loves this stipulation, so I'm not surprised. The winner of this is entirely dependent upon what WWE wants to do at Survivor Series. If they want to have champion vs. champion, then Becky Lynch retains. If they want to do something else, Flair might very well win the title.

PREDICTION: Becky Lynch retains the title.


Mae Young Classic 2018 Tournament Finals: Toni Storm vs. Io Shirai

I'm at least partially wondering if at any point, Tegan Nox was supposed to make it to the finals or possibly even win the tournament. I'm very interested in how Toni Storm is in this, as I thought she would FOR SURE be in the UK women's title picture. Since that's not the case, I'm wondering what's going to happen there, and if this means that maybe Storm wins this tournament, as in the Nox scenario, Shirai wouldn't have made it this far.

PREDICTION: Toni Storm wins.


NXT Women's Championship Match: Kairi Sane (c) vs. Shayna Baszler

Once the shock of Sane winning the title happened, I figured Baszler would get her rematch here. It just makes sense. Then, Sane can move on to someone else (Bianca Belair, probably) at TakeOver: WarGames.

PREDICTION: Kairi Sane will probably retain, but there's still a chance Baszler wins it back.

Not bothering to replace this, but replace Alexa Bliss with Alicia Fox and you've got the idea.

Lita and Trish Stratus vs. Alicia Fox and Mickie James

So they went with Alexa Bliss against Trish Stratus, and then Lita against Mickie James, and then a tag team match, and then Alexa was injured and now Alicia Fox is taking her place. Sadly, that kind of kills the main reason for this match happening, as it primarily revolved around seeing Trish vs. Alexa. Now, it's just a means to have Trish and Lita win "a match" and to push Trish/Alexa further down the road, if ever.

PREDICTION: Trish Stratus and Lita win.

86 Alicia Fox, add a bunch more people.

Battle Royal

They've announced that the winner of this match will earn a future title shot, and I'm sure there isn't a guaranteed list of people who will be competing, as it'll be the lump "throw anyone in there who has nothing else to do" idea.

PREDICTION: Naomi wins and is fed to Becky Lynch for Survivor Series?


The Riott Squad vs. Natalya, Sasha Banks and Bayley

Good lord, could WWE try any less? Could there be a more generic, boring, bland, flat, uninspiring match to book on this card than this? Awful. Absolutely awful. The idea is mundane, the "build" (if you can call it that) was a cop-out, and I'd rather have seen all of these women just in the battle royal than having this match.

PREDICTION: The Riott Squad wins. I don't know. I don't care. Neither do you. Don't lie.


NXT UK Women's Championship Match: Rhea Ripley (c) vs. Isla Dawn

WWE planned this so poorly. People will be watching Evolution knowing that Rhea Ripley is the champion and then, after however many weeks it takes to air the pre-taped episodes we've known the outcomes for for weeks upon weeks, THEN they'll see Ripley get crowned the champion. Wow. Ridiculous. Isla Dawn isn't going to take the title here.

Update: this actually happened on the tapings, so the situation is even more confusing and this may not be scheduled, but even if it is, it wouldn't make any sense, so...

PREDICTION: Rhea Ripley will retain.

I'm assuming nothing else. For those wondering who would still be available to be inserted into the card, the women who haven't been booked yet are: Brie Bella (technically) + Maryse + the NXT and NXT UK rosters + other returning rumored stars
