WWE SMACKDOWN RESULTS: March 6, 2026
- Promo: Randy Orton opened the show with a promo about winning Elimination Chamber and heading to WrestleMania to main event. Trick Williams interrupted and ate an RKO for his efforts.
- Open Challenge for the WWE Men's United States Championship: Carmelo Hayes (c) defeated El Hijo de Dr. Wagner Jr. by pinfall.
- The Miz and Kit Wilson interrupted an interview segment with Ilja Dragunov, who is still putting off facing Carmelo Hayes for the US title.
- Backstage: Nick Aldis told Damian Priest and R-Truth that they've been added to the tag team turmoil match. Drew McIntyre then comes over to Aldis to say he's the face of the brand and to complain about the title match scheduled for later.
- Championship Celebration: The Irresistible Forces (Lash Legend and Nia Jax) were interrupted by Alexa Bliss and Charlotte Flair, followed by Giulia and Kiana James, setting up a match between those two teams. Bliss and Flair won by pinfall to become the #1 contenders.
- Jelly Roll was shown with a pre-recorded video wishing Cody Rhodes good luck.
- Interview: Cody Rhodes spoke on the title match to come. Sami Zayn interrupted and instead of just saying good luck, he ended up whining about how Rhodes has another title opportunity after losing the Elimination Chamber match.
- WWE Tag Team Championship No. 1 Contenders' Tag Team Turmoil Match: Fraxiom eliminated The Motor City Machine Guns. Los Garza eliminated Fraxiom. Los Garza eliminated The Wyatt Sicks. Damian Priest and R-Truth then beat Los Garza to win the future title shot.
- Sami Zayn asked Randy Orton how he's able to be friends with Cody Rhodes and still take him out like he did at Elimination Chamber. Doesn't that make him a bad person? Orton said he isn't sure, but it does make him a 14 time world champion, and maybe Sami should start listening to the voices in his head. Aleister Black and Zelina Vega then came over to say it's just the nature of the beast.
- Promo: Rhea Ripley and Jade Cargill traded some trash talk in the ring.
- Backstage: Alex Shelley and Candice LeRae were talking about Johnny Gargano being depressed. Chris Sabin was upset that Shelley's first thought after losing their match was to worry about Gargano. Candice was able to get a spark out of Gargano, who said he was off to the ring.
- The Wyatt Sicks are still coming after Solo Sikoa and want that damn lantern back.
- After the commercial break, Johnny Gargano went out to the ring to cut a promo about how he needs to be "Johnny Wrestling" again, issuing an open challenge to anyone in the locker room. Oba Femi answered and defeated Gargano by pinfall.
- B-Fab and Michin had another backstage confrontation with Cargill, who asked why they let Rhea Ripley skip them in the line. Michin said Rhea earned it, but she's also coming for the title. Cargill said "I'll see you next week."
- Danhausen has demands for Nick Aldis, including the Hall of Fame induction and a mentor. Aldis then approached The Miz to say that if someone of his career accomplishments is willing to help out the younger stars, meet Danhausen! Danhausen wants The Miz to make him a champion of some sorts and to get his own television show. If he doesn't, he'll be cursed. After he reminds The Miz what happened to Dominik Mysterio on Monday Night Raw, The Miz looks concerned.
- Next week, Jade Cargill will face Michin, Jelly Roll will be there, Randy Orton will have a contract signing with his WrestleMania opponent, and....oh, that's it.
- Singles Match for the Undisputed WWE Championship: Cody Rhodes defeated Drew McIntyre (c) by pinfall to regain the title! Jacob Fatu interfered to pull a steel chair away from McIntyre, seemingly rounding out his side of the story with Rhodes to offset the Three Stages of Hell match.
