WWE EVOLVE RESULTS: JULY 9, 2025

Matches:

  • Timothy Thatcher defeated Keanu Carver by disqualification.
  • Chantel Monroe defeated Masyn Holiday by pinfall.
  • EVOLVE Men's Championship Contract Signing: Jackson Drake(c) and Lince Dorado
  • Kali Armstrong(c) defeted Natalya by pinfall.

We start the night with a recap of Kali's rise to the top and her budding rivalry with Natalya.

Match 1: Timothy Thatcher vs. Keanu Carver

Lots of meat in the ring for this one. Thatcher starts off in control, showing off his trademark technical precision. Keanu’s tough as nails though—he keeps slipping out of holds, refusing to stay down. We’ve never seen him take this much punishment, but the man just won’t quit. Thatcher goes for a suplex—reversed! Keanu explodes with a massive fallaway slam, without even going down himself! He locks in a headlock, but Thatcher breaks free… only to eat a nasty clothesline and a thunderous World’s Strongest Slam for a close near-fall. It’s BOO-YAA time—but oddly, the crowd's quiet. (Come on folks, this match is 🔥!) Keanu finally lands The Pounce, and then things go off the rails. He starts slamming Thatcher’s head into the apron, totally losing it. The ref calls for the DQ. Security rushes in. Wild match. Brutal ending. I loved it.

"The Vanity Project" is backstage with Stevie Turner, still fuming over last week’s loss to the "LWO". The group vents their frustration, blaming everything but themselves. Stevie takes control of the moment and makes a big announcement: Lince Dorado has a title match against Jackson Drake next week, and the contract signing is happening tonight. Just then, Jordan Oasis walks in—cool as ever—and drops the line of the night: “Make sure you spell your name right when you sign that contract.” Absolute gold. Honestly, the best moment from Jordan yet.

Match 2: Chantel Monroe vs. Masyn Holiday

Masyn makes her entrance alongside Layla Diggs, and during the walkout, we cut to a pre-taped promo of the two talking serious trash about Chantel. Once the bell rings, Chantel takes early control, showing off that signature bad girl flavor. Masyn’s got plenty of fight in her, but with Chantel constantly pulling hair and laying down punishment, Masyn struggles to get anything going. She's forced to rely on quick roll-ups, but they’re just not landing the damage she needs. Finally, Masyn finds an opening—a burst of energy with some shoulder tackles and a crisp dropkick for a near fall… but it’s not enough. Chantel shuts it down with brutal knees to the face, almost like a backstabber (sprry for my inability to remember the name). Masyn is rocked, and Chantel stands tall once again.

After her win, Chantel grabs a mic and calls out the winner of tonight’s main event—clearly gunning for a title shot. But instead of the champ, out comes Kylie Rae… and then Tyra Mae Steele! (A step down the card for Tyra? Demotion?!) Looks like all three women want a shot at the gold, Tyra takes out Chantel, laying her out and sending a clear message. The title picture just got crowded—let’s see where this goes. Backstage, Chuey Martinez is standing by, hoping for an update from Stevie on Timothy Thatcher’s condition following that brutal attack earlier. But before Stevie can speak, Ridge Holland interrupts—he’s officially part of EVOLVE now. And just like that, Tate Wilder walks into frame. Tension flares up fast. Looks like we’re getting Ridge vs. Tate next week!

We get a quick glimpse of Wendy Choo before cutting to the ring, where Stevie Turner is already waiting for Lince Dorado and Jackson Drake for their contract signing. And yes… someone please break the damn table! Jackson cuts in first, saying Lince is undeserving of a title shot. Lince fires back, saying he’s here to humble Drake. Solid mic work from both—not a fire segment, but it does the job.

Two big takeaways:

  • The Vanity Project is banned from ringside.
  • Any outside interference against Lince will result in Jackson losing his title.

High stakes. Let’s see if this actually stays clean.

In the locker room, Kendal Grey and Carlee Bright catch up—Carlee confirms she’s cleared for action this weekend. Meanwhile, backstage, Chuey Martinez is with Sean Legacy, who’s fired up over Keanu carver's beatdown on Timothy Thatcher. Sean isn’t holding back—he calls out Keanu once again. Will this happen next week?
And speaking of next week… it’s official: Tyra Mae Steele vs. Chantel vs. Kylie Rae in a Triple Threat Match to determine the #1 contender for the EVOLVE Women’s Championship. The women’s division is heating up again fast—and after what we saw tonight, there’s plenty of tension heading into this one *and maybe interference from Wendy Choo).

Main Event: EVOLVE Women’s Championship: Kali Armstrong(c) vs. Natalya

Solid technical wrestling in this one—both women giving it the ol’ college try. Natalya’s experience shines as she takes the lead, keeping things steady and in control. The chemistry clicks, and everything’s landing clean. After a brief WrestleMania commercial, we’re back with Kali finally fighting back. The momentum shifts as we get dueling abdominal stretches, but Nattie breaks the tie with a huge "Discus Lariat" for a near fall. Another (sadly silent) BOO-YAA moment. Natalya responds with her signature offense—classic Nattie, but it only nets another near fall. Kali powers up, landing a big powerslam, nearly getting the three. She transitions into a Camel Clutch, grinding the champ down. Nattie reverses into an ankle lock, but Kali escapes and we get back-and-forth pin attempts. Things heat up as Kali lands a snap powerslam and goes for the "Kali Konnection"—but Natalya dodges and locks in the "Sharpshooter"! Kali barely escapes, regroups, and nails the "Kali Konnection" on the second attempt!
1… 2… 3! Kali retains! What. A. Match. Long, intense, and could’ve gone even longer. Both women brought it. After the bell, Kali extends her hand—Nattie gives her a hug and raises her hand in a great show of respect. But before the celebration can settle, Jin Tala ambushes Kali Armstrong from behind, revealing herself (officially) as the mysterious attacker. We already knew—but now it's personal. Boom.

Summary: WWE EVOLVE July 9, 2025

This week’s EVOLVE delivered big action and major developments. Keanu Carver lost control against Timothy Thatcher, leading to a DQ and post-match chaos. Stevie Turner announced Lince Dorado’s upcoming title shot against Jackson Drake, and Jordan Oasis stole the scene with a perfectly timed one-liner. Chantel Monroe defeated Masyn Holiday, but a post-match showdown with Kylie Rae and Tyra Mae Steele set up a high-stakes triple threat. In the main event, Kali Armstrong retained her title in a great match against Natalya—only to be attacked by Jin Tala, who came out to confess her sins right after.
Next week, Lince Dorado challenges Jackson Drake for the title with The Vanity Project banned from ringside. Tyra vs. Chantel vs. Kylie will determine the next Women’s Championship contender—will Wendy Choo be a factor. Plus some maybes? Ridge Holland and Tate Wilder debut? Will Sean Legacy may finally get his hands on Keanu Carver. EVOLVE is heating up fast.
