WWE SATURDAY NIGHT'S MAIN EVENT XLII RESULTS:
- Cody Rhodes defeated Oba Femi by disqualification. This was due to Drew McIntyre entering the ring and attacking Rhodes. Upset about the way this ended, Femi helped Rhodes in fighting back, and they took out McIntyre together. They then raised each other's hands in respect.
- Essentially, a way to not have either of them take a pinfall and to further the McIntyre feud. Rhodes is great. McIntyre is great. Femi is great.
- Sol Ruca defeated Bayley by pinfall.
- I'm glad they did give a win to an NXT talent. Ruca is such a star. This was another good showing.
- World Tag Team Champions AJ Styles & Dragon Lee (c) defeated Je'Von Evans and Leon Slater by pinfall.
- Admittedly, not as great as I was hoping it would be. They had way more potential than what was shown here. This felt rushed.
- The Miz came out to complain that he should be on this show. R-Truth then came out, followed by Joe Hendry, and they both took out The Miz.
- John Cena's Retirement Match: Gunther defeated John Cena by submission
- I'm still of the opinion that I think Cena should've won this match, but I can see the argument for putting Gunther over. Very nice tribute at the end.
