This list keeps track of the babyface turns and heel turns that happened in WWE throughout 2025, including confirmed turns and notable alignment changes that were unclear at the time.

KEEP IN MIND: When a babyface attacks another babyface, that is usually a heel turn. When a heel attacks another heel, it does not automatically make the victim a babyface. Follow-up booking determines whether an actual turn happened.

Also, sometimes, I update the heel and face index, but not as often as the updates you see below.

WWE HEEL AND FACE TURNS IN 2025:

  • January 7 - The Rock was nothing but a babyface on the Netflix debut of Raw, putting over Cody Rhodes and Roman Reigns.
  • (PENDING) January 21 - Izzi Dame could have turned babyface after helping Tony D'Angelo retain the North American Championship over Ridge Holland, thwarting interference from Shawn Spears, Niko Vance and Brooks Jensen. Never mind. That was just a ruse.
  • (PENDING) February 4 - Kelani Jordan had been acting more and more like a heel, particularly after getting herself disqualified by staying locked into a submission on Karmen Petrovic. Never mind. They never settled on this and eventually made sure she was 100% babyface again.
  • February 6 - Lexis King was back to being a heel by changing the Heritage Cup rules and reverting to his cheating ways.
  • February 14 - If Tiffany Stratton was not a babyface by this point, after setting up a tag team match with Trish Stratus and fighting Nia Jax and Candice LeRae while being positioned opposite a very heelish Charlotte Flair, then I'll be damned.
  • February 15 - Dion Lennox turned heel as part of the new as-yet-unnamed faction with Cutler James, Saquon Shugars and Osiris Griffin.
  • March 1 - Naomi became a heel going forward, later admitting on the March 7 SmackDown that she had attacked Jade Cargill.
  • March 1 - John Cena turned heel at Elimination Chamber!!
  • Circa February - Bron Breakker was being booked more and more like a babyface without true confirmation.
  • March 31 - Pete Dunne was a babyface again by re-teaming with Tyler Bate as New Catch Republic, unless it was just a temporary thing.
  • April 8 - Giulia turned heel on NXT with her return.
  • April 19 - Channing "Stacks" Lorenzo turned heel on Tony D'Angelo at WWE Stand & Deliver.
  • April 19 - Seth Rollins and Paul Heyman were being treated like heels due to the main event of WrestleMania Saturday.
  • April 21 - Becky Lynch turned heel on Lyra Valkyria during Raw after losing the women's tag titles back to Liv Morgan and Raquel Rodriguez.
  • April 21 - Bron Breakker was definitely a heel again after aligning with Seth Rollins and Paul Heyman on the Raw after WrestleMania.
  • April 22 / May 13 - No Quarter Catch Crew, or at least Myles Borne and Wren Sinclair, looked like possible babyfaces after interacting and teaming with Je'Von Evans. By May 13, Borne was at least presented as a babyface, while Charlie Dempsey was still heelish and Wren Sinclair and Tavion Heights were in between. Update #3: Borne, Heights and Sinclair were definitive babyfaces, while Dempsey still acted like a heel in a lot of ways.
  • April 29 - Trick Williams cemented his heel turn after months of leaning in that direction.
  • May 13 - Tatum Paxley turned heel on NXT by attacking Thea Hail and being upset over her friends being released.
  • May 25 - Luca Crusifino turned heel at NXT Battleground by distracting Tony D'Angelo so Channing "Stacks" Lorenzo could low-blow him and win their match.
  • Spring/Summer - The Wyatt Sicks sure did look more and more like heels, did they not?
  • June 7 - Jacob Fatu turned babyface at Money in the Bank after costing Solo Sikoa the briefcase, although he could also be read as a heel simply leaving Sikoa's partnership.
  • June 25 - Edris Enofe turned heel on EVOLVE.
  • June 27 / Confirmed July 11 - Aleister Black started a heel turn after attacking R-Truth. It was a slow burn for a few weeks, but on July 11, he cemented it by lashing out on Damian Priest after losing to Ron Killings.
  • July 4 - Charlotte Flair seemed to be a babyface now that she was teaming with Alexa Bliss.
  • July 13 - Blake Monroe turned heel by costing Jordynne Grace her match at WWE Evolution.
  • July 22 - Josh Briggs turned heel after turning on Yoshiki Inamura.
  • August 1 - John Cena turned babyface on SmackDown by outright announcing it and apologizing, arguably the most babyface thing anyone could ever do and a great character moment.
  • September 22 - Asuka and Kairi Sane officially turned heel on Raw by attacking both Rhea Ripley and Iyo Sky.
  • October 3 - Carmelo Hayes was effectively transitioned to a babyface after splitting from The Miz.
  • October 8 - Bryce Donovan turned babyface by ditching The Vanity Project on EVOLVE, only to be released a few weeks later.
  • October 10 - Shinsuke Nakamura may have been a babyface upon his return to SmackDown, but more info was needed.
  • October 10 - Zelina Vega turned heel by costing Damian Priest his Last Man Standing match with Aleister Black, her husband.
  • October 24 - Jade Cargill turned heel on SmackDown by attacking Tiffany Stratton.
  • October 28 - Kelani Jordan finally officially turned heel on NXT by using the TNA Knockouts World Championship title belt to retain over Jordynne Grace after weeks of teasing a heel turn and months of tweener-like pendulum swings between babyface and heel attitudes.
  • November 10 - Nikki Bella turned heel on Raw by hitting Stephanie Vaquer with the Women's World Championship title belt.
  • November 18 - For what it is worth, Izzi Dame had been treated like more of a babyface, but obviously about to turn on Tatum Paxley, for a little while. On NXT Gold Rush, she turned on Paxley, re-cementing Dame, Shawn Spears and Niko Vance as heels and Paxley as a babyface outside The Culling.
  • PENDING December 6 - Tony D'Angelo turned heel at NXT Deadline by attacking Je'Von Evans, but they ignored that and had him attack Ethan Page on the December 9 NXT, making it confusing.
  • December 9 - Ricky Saints seemed to turn heel by costing Je'Von Evans the title.

At the start of the year and during the quarterly updates, I made predictions for who might turn heel or babyface. Those notes remain below for archive context, with correct calls struck out.
