WWE NXT RESULTS: OCTOBER 10, 2023

  • Promo: Cody Rhodes announced the Men's NXT Breakout Tournament and Dusty Rhodes Tag Team Classic will be coming soon. He's also the special guest general manager of tonight, setting up Ilja Dragunov vs. Dominik Mysterio for the NXT title with LA Knight as the special guest referee.
  • Asuka defeated Roxanne Perez by pinfall. Shotzi fought off Kiana James after the match, as James went to attack Roxanne.
  • Pub Rules Match: Tyler Bate and The Brawling Brutes (Butch and Ridge Holland) defeated Gallus by pinfall.
  • Interview: Lyra Valkyria was interrupted by Tegan Nox, who wants Lyra to hold off on her title match until she gets another shot. Valkyria isn't down for that.
  • Promo: John Cena touted how great NXT is. Bron Breakker interrupted to talk some trash and almost took an Attitude Adjustment for his efforts.
  • Backstage: Tony D'Angelo and Stacks convinced Cody Rhodes to book a No. 1 contender's battle royal (for next week). Rhodes suggested calling it the Badaboom Badabing Battle Royal.
  • Interview: Baron Corbin still thinks people are doing things wrong around here, namely Dragunov.
  • NXT Championship Match (special guest ref LA Knight): Ilja Dragunov (c) defeated Dominik Mysterio by pinfall. Trick Williams and LA Knight helped offset Judgment Day's interference. Dijak attacked Dragunov after the match and told Baron Corbin "Dragunov is mine."
  • Backstage: Carmelo Hayes and Trick Williams talked to John Cena.
  • Backstage: Baron Corbin pitched Cody Rhodes that he deserves a title shot at Halloween Havoc. Cody instead booked a Triple Threat for next week between Corbin, Dijak and the winner of Breakker/Hayes.
  • Backstage: Nathan Frazer was standing around with some others (Axiom, Brooks Jensen, Josh Briggs, Dante Chen and Tatum Paxley) to tell Dominik Mysterio that he shouldn't treat people poorly.
  • Women's NXT Breakout Tournament Round 1 Match: Lola Vice defeated Dani Palmer by pinfall.
  • Chase University: Thea Hail and Jacy Jayne disrupted the class by talking, but they were all just buzzing on their phones about how Andre Chase and Duke Hudson are in the tag team battle royal. Jayne asked everyone for a round of applause and then wiped the smirk off her face.
  • Backstage: Paul Heyman talked to Bron Breakker in the locker room to say he has WrestleMania main event potential even more than Rick and Scott Steiner. The only thing in his way is Carmelo Hayes. Breakker said it doesn't matter if it is Melo, John Cena, or anyone else. He's going to break anyone who stands in his way.
  • Vignette: Brian Pillman Jr doesn't have memories of his father, as he died when Jr was only four years old. He's nobody's junior and he doesn't want people thinking of his dead dad when they see his face. Instead, he'll be going by the name of the man who did raise him, King. IE, Lexis King will be his name as we know from a recent trademark.
  • Backstage: Kiana James, Blair Davenport, Kelani Jordan and Fallon Henley all wanted to say hello to Asuka. Before Henley got to, Tiffany Stratton cut in line. Henley asked if Stratton's father taught her any matters, to which Stratton said no, he taught her to treat people like Fallon differently.
  • Carmelo Hayes (with John Cena) defeated Bron Breakker (with Paul Heyman) by pinfall. After the match, Breakker speared Melo, grabbed a mic, said he's the only real badass in WWE whether he won or lost, and this prompted American Badass Undertaker to come out, chokeslam Breakker, claim himself to be the biggest badass there is and end the show.
