WWE Royal Rumble 2022 Spoilers

30-Man Royal Rumble Match (2022)

Confirmed participants (15) = AJ Styles, Angelo Dawkins, Austin Theory, Big E, Damian Priest, Dominik Mysterio, Happy Corbin, Johnny Knoxville, Kevin Owens, Kofi Kingston, Madcap Moss, Montez Ford, Rey Mysterio, Sami Zayn, Sheamus

I had thought Drew McIntyre would win and set up a Triple Threat against Brock Lesnar and Roman Reigns. He seems to be out from a neck injury. There are pretty much no scenarios I can imagine that make sense to me, if I'm being honest. The closest thing that seems up WWE's alley is for Brock Lesnar to win this match, somehow, either entering still WWE champion or losing it earlier in the night, entering the match and winning it to challenge Reigns.

PREDICTION: Brock Lesnar wins.

30-Woman Royal Rumble Match (2022)

Confirmed participants (21) = Aliyah, Bianca Belair, Brie Bella, Carmella, Charlotte Flair, Dana Brooke, Kelly Kelly, Lita, Liv Morgan, Michelle McCool, Mickie James, Naomi, Natalya, Nikki A.S.H., Nikki Bella, Queen Zelina Vega, Rhea Ripley, Shayna Baszler, Shotzi, Summer Rae, Tamina

9 spots are left. Bayley, Asuka, Lacey Evans and Sonya Deville could fill some more spots, potentially. It seems Sasha Banks is injured, so let's count her out for now. I also think Raquel Gonzalez, Io Shirai, Cora Jade, Kay Lee Ray and Jinny have good chances to appear.

PREDICTION: Raquel Gonzalez wins in order to challenge Becky Lynch or Charlotte Flair.

WWE Championship Match: Brock Lesnar (c) vs. Bobby Lashley

It's finally happening. Sadly, it's not at WrestleMania. But hey, we get to see it and Lashley gets the match he's been asking for. That's cool. I don't think the title will change hands, but anything can happen. If the game plan is to do Lesnar vs. Reigns at WrestleMania with both belts, then Lesnar just retains. If Lesnar not having the title is instrumental in the plan and there's something else in mind, I think Lashley actually has a shot, but it all depends on if Reigns can/will interfere.

PREDICTION: Brock Lesnar wins.

Universal Championship Match: Roman Reigns (c) vs. Seth Rollins

Uh....a heel Rollins randomly jumping over to SmackDown for this match? What?

PREDICTION: Roman Reigns retains.

Raw Women's Championship Match: Becky Lynch (c) vs. Doudrop

Well, I'll be damned. I sure got this prediction wrong, didn't I? I figured Liv Morgan was almost a 90% guarantee to win with Bianca Belair holding that other 10% and 0% going to Doudrop. Lo and behold.

Obviously, there's no way Doudrop wins the title, though. I'm confident in that. If anything, I think this is because they want to have both Morgan and Belair in the Royal Rumble itself as people the fans will cheer for and track throughout the match.

PREDICTION: Becky Lynch retains.

The It Couple (The Miz and Maryse) vs. The Grit Couple (Edge and Beth Phoenix)

I'm down for it. Edge and Beth Phoenix teaming up and checking that off their wish list is totally cool with me. It's the best possible mixed tag team match that they could do with the current roster. Is it going to be the best match in the world? Absolutely not. But this event sells itself on the Royal Rumble matches and this is way more than worthless filler, which previous Royal Rumbles have had.

PREDICTION: Beth Phoenix and Edge win.
