The July 27, 2021 edition of WWE NXT was taped in advance from the WWE Capitol Wrestling Center in Orlando, Florida. The following are SPOILERS of the what transpired during the tapings for those who want to know the results ahead of time.
- Samoa Joe resigned as NXT enforcer and will face Karrion Kross for the NXT Championship at TakeOver 36.
- NXT Breakout Tournament: Carmelo Hayes defeated Josh Briggs
- Timothy Thatcher and Tommaso Ciampa defeated Oney Lorcan and Pete Dunne. After the match, Ridge Holland returned.
- Dakota Kai turned on Raquel Gonzalez.
- Kacy Catanzaro and Kayden Carter defeated Franky Monet and Jessi Kamea due to unhelpful interference from Robert Stone.
- Imperium defeated Hit Row after a distraction from Legado del Fantasma
- Adam Cole defeated Bronson Reed. Kyle O'Reilly then attacked Cole with a steel chair.
