The WWE NXT Cruiserweight Championship has changed hands as Kushida defeated Santos Escobar to win the title on the April 13, 2021 edition of NXT.
My immediate reaction: Well, I'll be damned. I thought Kushida would be the next champion, but I didn't think it would happen here, so fast after Escobar unified the titles. Then again, it's NXT's debut on Tuesday and they got the title situation cleared up, so it kind of makes sense, too. I dig Kushida, so I'm cool with this, even though I'm more of a fan of Escobar overall.
