WWE Elimination Chamber 2021 Results

Fatal 4-Way Match: John Morrison vs Mustafa Ali vs Ricochet vs Elias

RESULT: John Morrison won by pinfall.
THOUGHTS: I'm glad they decided to have a match on the kickoff to determine who would replace Keith Lee, rather than just announcing someone and moving on. I was rooting for Ricochet to win, but I'm a big fan of John Morrison, too, so thumbs up in my mind.

Universal Championship No. 1 Contender's Elimination Chamber Match: Cesaro vs. Daniel Bryan vs. Kevin Owens vs. King Corbin vs. Jey Uso vs. Sami Zayn

The match is starting with Daniel Bryan and Cesaro.
Pod #1 is King Corbin.
Pod #2 is Sami Zayn.
Corbin was eliminated by Cesaro via submission.
Pod #3 is Kevin Owens
Pod #4 is Jey Uso
Zayn was eliminated by Owens via pinfall.
Owens was eliminated by Uso via pinfall.
Cesaro was eliminated by Uso via pinfall.
Uso was eliminated by Bryan via pinfall.

RESULT: Daniel Bryan was victorious.
THOUGHTS: Part of me is disappointed they didn't go with Cesaro. I feel like this was his match to win and the best opportunity to really push him into a world title shot. But Bryan's fantastic and if it wasn't going to go to Cesaro, this was the next best option. Good match, too.

Universal Championship Match: Roman Reigns (c) vs. Daniel Bryan

RESULT: Roman Reigns retained by submission.
THOUGHTS: Loved it. Bryan starts off with an immediate Yes Lock that Reigns breaks out of, then just beats him down and wins with the guillotine. Perfect.

Right after the match, Edge speared Roman Reigns to declare he's picked him for WrestleMania 37.

United States Championship Triple Threat Match: Bobby Lashley (c) vs. John Morrison vs. Riddle

RESULT: Riddle won the title by pinfall on Morrison.
THOUGHTS: Oh wow. Damn. I didn't think they were going to change the title like that, or at all, in this scenario.

Women's Tag Team Championship Match: Nia Jax and Shayna Baszler (c) vs. Bianca Belair and Sasha Banks

RESULT: Shayna Baszler and Nia Jax retained the titles.
THOUGHTS: There's never really a need for these things.

WWE Championship Elimination Chamber Match: Drew McIntyre (c) vs. AJ Styles vs. Jeff Hardy vs. Kofi Kingston vs. Randy Orton vs. Sheamus

Jeff Hardy and Randy Orton start things off.
Pod #1 is Drew McIntyre
Pod #2 is Kofi Kingston
Randy Orton was eliminated by Kingston via pinfall.
Pod #3 is AJ Styles
Pod #4 is Sheamus
Kofi Kingston was eliminated by Sheamus via pinfall.
Jeff Hardy was eliminated by Drew McIntyre via pinfall.
Sheamus was eliminated by AJ Styles via pinfall.
AJ Styles was eliminated by Drew McIntyre via pinfall.

RESULT: Drew McIntyre retained the title.
THOUGHTS: This didn't go down in the way I thought it would, that's for sure. Those eliminations were surprising. I figured McIntyre had a 75/25 shot to retain, but I didn't think Styles would pin Sheamus and such, for instance.

Bobby Lashley has attacked McIntyre after the match. We're setting up a cash-in.

WWE Championship Match: Drew McIntyre (c) vs. The Miz

RESULT: With some help from Bobby Lashley, The Miz pinned Drew McIntyre to win the title!
THOUGHTS:
Look. I love The Miz. I'm so glad he's champion again, in theory. But please don't make me regret saying that by doing some stupid shit leading up to a possible awful match at WrestleMania...I feel like that's going to happen....including how I don't want McIntyre against Lashley.
