WWE Title Change: Jeff Hardy Wins Intercontinental Championship from AJ Styles | Smark Out Moment

The WWE Intercontinental Championship has changed hands as Jeff Hardy defeated AJ Styles to win the title on the August 21, 2020 edition of SmackDown.

My immediate reaction: I'm a bit surprised. I didn't think they'd go ahead with Hardy as the next champion, particularly on SmackDown. I guess they wanted to do a title change during the debut of the whole Thunderdome idea and figured this would be a better fit than the tag titles. Where they go from here will be interesting. Does Styles just win it back down the line? Does it go to someone like King Corbin? Hm...
