WWE Power Rankings Top 10 Superstars This Week: #303 - NXT Is Limitless

Posted by Callum Wiggins Saturday, July 11, 2020
Welcome to another edition of POWER RANKINGS from Smark Out Moment! Each week, we will break down the current roster and examine who has gone up the WWE hierarchy and who has unfortunately taken a step down the ladder. Factoring in things such as wins and losses, suspensions, injuries, making a name for one's self, being humiliated, and more, who is at the top of the food chain and who needs to make up some ground next week?

Here is the key code for the rankings shorthand when referencing their position in relation to the previous week:

NR = Not included in last week's rankings at all
+ Green = the number of moves up in the rankings compared to last week
- Red = the number of moves down in the rankings compared to last week
Honorable Mentions = five superstars who just barely missed the cut

Power Ranking WWE wrestlers list roster

10. Io Shirai [-3]

The NXT Women's Champion was absent this week building to next week's title defense against Tegan Nox. That will either push Io Shirai up the Power Rankings, or see her replaced by Wales' Shiniest Wizard.

9. Legado del Fantasma [NR]

An impressive first outing by the trio of Legado del Fantasma, as they defeated Drake Maverick and Breezango in a 6-man tag on NXT, with Santos Escobar scoring the decisive pinfall on Maverick.

8. AJ Styles [-4]

No action for AJ Styles this week, but a new challenger on the horizon, as Matt Riddle has set his sights on Styles' Intercontinental Championship. Who will emerge on top in the battle of The Phenomenal One and The Original Bro?

7. Candice LeRae [NR]

In a hard-hitting, weapons-filled opener to this week's NXT, Candice LeRae earned an impressive victory over Mia Yim in their ongoing rivalry. This should help elevate the Poison Pixie towards a future NXT Women's Championship opportunity.

6. Braun Strowman [-4]

A replay of Braun Strowman's win over Bray Wyatt at Money in the Bank is not enough to prevent the Universal Champion from plummeting down the Power Rankings this week, as his sustained inactivity continues to hurt his title reign.

5. Bobby Lashley & MVP [+1]

Even with MVP wrestling in a shirt and pants, the combination of him and Bobby Lashley were still too much for Ricochet & Cedric Alexander, as MVP continues to build momentum for his United States Championship match with Apollo Crews at Extreme Rules.

4. Drew McIntyre [+1]

It was quick and merciless, but Drew McIntyre decapitated his former 3MB stablemate Heath Slater on Raw this week, foiling Dolph Ziggler's attempt to get in the WWE Champion's head prior to Extreme Rules.

3. Keith Lee [NR]

In a historic conclusion to Night 2 of NXT's Great American Bash, Keith Lee got the better of Adam Cole in the ultimate "Double or Nothing" scenario. With it Lee captured his first NXT Championship, ending the record-breaking reign of Cole, while also successfully defending his North American title.

2. The Golden Role Models [-1]

After several weeks of dominance, a rough Raw for The Golden Role Models sees them replaced at the top. Both Sasha Banks & Bayley lost separate matches to both members of The Kabuki Warriors. However, SmackDown was more successful, with a tag team victory over Alexa Bliss & Nikki Cross.

1. The Kabuki Warriors [+2]

The return of Kairi Sane coincides with a rise to the top of the Power Rankings for The Kabuki Warriors. Sane scored a DQ win over Sasha Banks on Raw, and then in the main event "Champion vs Champion" match, Asuka pinned Bayley.

HONORABLE MENTIONS

Randy Orton - An RKO to Erik earned Randy Orton, Andrade & Angel Garza a 6-man tag victory over The Big Show & The Viking Raiders.

Rey Mysterio - Returning to the ring following his eye injury, Rey Mysterio teamed with Kevin Owens to defeat Seth Rollins & Murphy.

The IIconics - Another week, another IIconic win over the hapless Ruby Riott – this time it was Billie Kay that picked up the victory.

Johnny Gargano - Following last week's backstage confrontation, Johnny Gargano defeated Isaiah Scott on Wednesday's edition of NXT.

Jeff Hardy - While still building to a showdown with Sheamus at Extreme Rules, Jeff Hardy beat The Miz in SmackDown's opening contest.
