WWE Title Change: New Universal Champion Crowned at Super ShowDown 2020

Posted by Anthony Mango Thursday, February 27, 2020
The WWE Universal Championship has changed hands as Goldberg defeated Bray Wyatt to win the title at Super ShowDown on February 27, 2020.

My immediate reaction: So does Roman Reigns win the Elimination Chamber and John Cena fight Bray Wyatt, or does Cena win the chamber and his 17th world title reign, and Reigns fights Wyatt in a non-title match? I've talked about this ad nauseam on the podcasts. I don't know if either combination will be the right call. But hey, I'm just the guy who said it was a mistake for Lesnar to beat Undertaker at WrestleMania and then build him up for another year just to upset fans with the Reigns push and then have The Big Dog not win just to try to build that up again after sacrificing Kevin Owens and Chris Jericho to Goldberg so he could drop the title to Lesnar and wait another year just to try again with Reigns and then not have that happen again and then do two more attempts at that only to stupidly turn Braun Strowman heel and then have to backtrack but then screw up again with putting the belt back on Lesnar and waiting another bunch of months to switch it to Seth Rollins just to go back to Lesnar just to go back to Rollins just to go to Wyatt.....so that he could drop it to Goldberg here. Ha. I'll talk to you in two months about this.
