Smark Out Moment

This week's episode of WWE NXT was taped on January 3, 2019 at Full Sail University in Winter Park, Florida. The following are spoilers of the results from the original tapings. WWE may choose to edit things differently, rearrange or add other supplemental content.

• Johnny Gargano cut a promo about wanting the NXT Championship and the North American Championship, prompting Ricochet to come out, then Tommaso Ciampa. Aleister Black appears on the tron and talks about beating Ciampa at TakeOver. The lights go out and Black pops up when they come back on. Black attacks Ciampa while Gargano takes out Ricochet with a superkick.
• Bianca Belair defeated Nikki Cross
• Fabian Aichner and Marcel Barthel defeated Hector Kunsman and Stanley Watts
• Adam Cole defeated EC3. After the match, The Undisputed ERA attacked EC3 until War Raiders made the save.
