This list keeps track of the babyface turns and heel turns that happened in WWE throughout 2019.
KEEP IN MIND: When a babyface attacks another babyface, that is usually a heel turn. When a heel attacks another heel, it does not automatically make the victim a babyface. Follow-up booking determines whether an actual turn happened.
Also, sometimes, I update the heel and face index, but not as often as the updates you see below.
WWE HEEL AND FACE TURNS IN 2019:
- January 16 - Bianca Belair turned babyface on NXT for her feud with Shayna Baszler.
January 21 - Alexa Bliss may be transitioning to a babyface role.I guess not?- January 21 - Curt Hawkins likely turned babyface on Raw after being attacked by The Revival while acting as a referee.
- January 27 - Elias turned heel again at Royal Rumble by insulting the crowd and Jeff Jarrett.
- January 27 - There was a chance Dolph Ziggler was a babyface as of Royal Rumble.
- January 29 - Rusev turned heel on SmackDown by joining Shinsuke Nakamura to attack R-Truth, with Lana following that same alignment.
- Early 2019 - Dana Brooke teamed with Natalya, then turned on Natalya, so she was a babyface and a heel in the span of two weeks.
- February 4 - So I guess Nikki Cross was a heel on Raw. Or maybe she wasn't and WWE was just testing her out in different roles.
- February 11 - Dean Ambrose turned babyface on Raw by reuniting with Seth Rollins and Roman Reigns for The Shield's final run.
- February 11 - EC3 may have been transitioning to a heel role on Raw.
- February 25 - Batista turned heel on Raw by attacking Ric Flair and using it to set up his WrestleMania feud with Triple H.
- February 26 - Kevin Owens officially turned babyface on SmackDown by returning opposite Daniel Bryan in the WWE Championship picture.
- March 4 - That was an awfully heelish thing for Bobby Roode and Chad Gable to do on Raw, but it might not have been a turn. We'll see...
- March 4 - Ronda Rousey turned heel on Raw by attacking Becky Lynch and Charlotte Flair during the road to WrestleMania 35.
- March 10 - Shane McMahon turned heel at Fastlane by attacking The Miz after they failed to win the SmackDown Tag Team Championship, then putting his hands on Miz's father.
- March 2019 - Dana Brooke became a babyface again.
- March 13 - Noam Dar turned heel on NXT UK.
- March 13 - Johnny Gargano was back to being a babyface for sure on NXT.
- March 20 - Tony Nese moved into a babyface role for his feud with Buddy Murphy.
- March 26 - Oney Lorcan turned heel on 205 Live by attacking Cedric Alexander, but was still being treated as a babyface on NXT for some reason.
- April 5 - Tommaso Ciampa turned babyface at NXT TakeOver: New York by returning to embrace Johnny Gargano after Gargano won the vacant NXT Championship.
- April 8 - Bobby Roode and Chad Gable solidified their heel turn on Raw by attacking Aleister Black and Ricochet after their match.
- April 9 - Gentleman Jack Gallagher turned babyface on 205 Live.
- April 14 - Luke Harper returned as a babyface at Worlds Collide.
- April 15 - The Viking Raiders were presented as heels on Raw after their call-up. This applies to Erik and Ivar.
- April 15 onward - They toyed around with it a lot, but Alexa Bliss definitely started leaning toward a babyface side of things from this point on. WWE kept switching her, so she was more tweener status from here onward.
- April 16 - Oney Lorcan looked like a babyface again on 205 Live, but this may just mean he never officially turned heel to begin with, as he was still booked as a babyface on NXT. Let's be honest, WWE doesn't care enough to notice these details.
- April 19 - WALTER turned heel on the NXT UK tapings.
- April 23 - Chad Gable was back to being a babyface on SmackDown.
- April 23 - Kevin Owens turned heel again, of course, by attacking Kofi Kingston and Xavier Woods on SmackDown.
- April 29 - Dana Brooke was in more of a heel spot on Raw, but not necessarily a full turn.
- April 29 - If The Good Brothers were babyfaces before, they were heels on Raw.
- April 30 - The B-Team turned heel on SmackDown by aligning with Shane McMahon. This applies to Bo Dallas and Curtis Axel.
- May 1 - Mansoor was a heel on the May 1 edition of NXT UK and a babyface later that day on NXT.
- May 1 - Taynara Conti was definitely a heel for Worlds Collide.
- May 6 - The Good Brothers were positioned as babyfaces on Raw.
- May 7 - Noam Dar was a babyface again on 205 Live.
- May 2019 - Nikki Cross was a babyface.
- May 21 - If Dolph Ziggler wasn't a heel before, he certainly was by SmackDown after returning to attack Kofi Kingston.
- May 22 - Noam Dar was back to being a heel on NXT UK.
- May 27 - Tamina was sort of a babyface on Raw.
- June 12 - Io Shirai turned heel on the June 12 NXT tapings by snapping after failing to win the NXT Women's Championship from Shayna Baszler.
- July 1 - AJ Styles, Luke Gallows and Karl Anderson officially turned heel on Raw by reuniting The Club and attacking Ricochet.
- July 2 - Kevin Owens seemed to be a babyface again after SmackDown.
- July 15 - Nikki Cross actively went anti-crowd on Raw, meaning even if she was being manipulated and would turn babyface again very soon, she was definitely booked as a heel right then.
- July 15 - Bray Wyatt returned as a heel on Raw by attacking Finn Balor as The Fiend.
- July 16 - Liv Morgan may have turned babyface on SmackDown by confronting Charlotte Flair, but that was to be seen.
- August 12 - Sasha Banks turned heel on Raw by returning and attacking Natalya and Becky Lynch.
- August 27 - Buddy Murphy may have taken his first real step toward a babyface turn by shaking Ali's hand on SmackDown.
- September 2 - Bayley turned heel on Monday Night Raw by attacking Becky Lynch with a steel chair and siding with Sasha Banks.
- September 3 - Tony Nese turned heel on 205 Live.
- September 9 - The Viking Raiders turned babyface on Monday Night Raw by making the save for Cedric Alexander against The O.C.
- September 2019 - Charlotte Flair transitioned to a babyface after Bayley's heel turn.
- September 15 - Luke Harper returned to action as a heel at Clash of Champions by helping Erick Rowan attack Roman Reigns.
- September 17 - The Brian Kendrick turned heel on 205 Live by attacking Gentleman Jack Gallagher and Akira Tozawa with a kendo stick.
- September 18 - Lio Rush returned to NXT as a babyface.
- September 24 - Daniel Bryan slowly moved into a babyface role, which was made 100% official on SmackDown.
- September 30 - Rusev turned babyface on Monday Night Raw by helping Seth Rollins and joining Team Hogan.
- October 2 - It became clear Damian Priest was a heel after attacking Pete Dunne on NXT.
- October 6 - Alexa Bliss and Nikki Cross definitely worked babyface at Hell in a Cell against The Kabuki Warriors, who were now heels, it seems.
- October 14 - Charlotte Flair seemed like she was back to being a heel.
- October 14 - Lacey Evans may have been a babyface. We'll see.
- October 23 - Finn Balor turned heel on NXT by kicking Johnny Gargano and helping The Undisputed ERA beat down #DIY.
- October 25 - Lacey Evans was back to working like a heel on SmackDown.
- October 30 - Rhea Ripley effectively confirmed her status as a babyface by helping save Candice LeRae from a post-match beating by Io Shirai on NXT.
- October 30 - Bianca Belair was definitely a heel, too. This had been teased before, but it was confirmed on this episode of NXT with her aligning with Io Shirai and the Horsewomen.
- October 31 - Lacey Evans was back to being a babyface of sorts at Crown Jewel. What this means for her status, we'll just have to find out.
- November 13 - Dominik Dijakovic turned babyface on NXT by helping Tommaso Ciampa, Keith Lee and Matt Riddle fight off The Undisputed ERA.
- November 23 - Dakota Kai turned heel at NXT TakeOver: WarGames by turning on Tegan Nox and Team Ripley.
- November 25 - Seth Rollins sure as hell came off like a heel with the town hall on Monday Night Raw.
- November 25 - All doubts were gone. Randy Orton was definitely a babyface after helping Rey Mysterio win the United States Championship on Raw.
- November 29 - Lacey Evans was probably a babyface after knocking out Sasha Banks and cutting a promo against her and Bayley on SmackDown.
- November 29 - Elias seemed like a babyface again on SmackDown.
- December 23 - Samoa Joe turned babyface on Raw by standing up to AOP to help Rey Mysterio. He solidified this on December 30 by teaming with Kevin Owens.
