Wow. I'm not particularly surprised about Burchill's release, as they weren't using him, but he did seem to have a decent enough foothold to remain on board. Helms...well...he kind of screwed things up with his arrest and the fact that he hasn't exactly been the most popular superstar.
MARIA though. Now that's a freaking shocker. They gave this chick the Diva of the Year Slammy, they've always had her featured rather prominently despite her having absolutely zero wrestling talent, and c'mon, let's face it, she's fucking adorable. With her being on the Apprentice, I'm totally confused as to how they wouldn't have wanted to keep her to get some more publicity.
I'm curious as to why they decided to pull the trigger on these three but they've still got Kozlov, Tyler Reks, Slam Master J, and Jimmy Wang Yang. Hopefully more details will surface soon.
UPDATE: Another release has occurred with referee Scott Armstrong, who from all reports was very well liked in the company, so that's very odd. Though to be fair, Scott might have just asked for his release as a form of retirement or something. Details aren't out about his release yet.
