WWE SMACKDOWN RESULTS: SEPTEMBER 25, 2026

• Steel Cage Match for the United States Championship: Trick Williams (c) retained over Baron Corbin by pinfall. Corbin slammed the cage door into Lil Yachty at ringside, but Yachty later returned the favor when Corbin tried to escape through the door. Corbin became the first wrestler to kick out of Williams' Trick Shot. After Corbin hit a Deep Six for another near fall, Williams delivered three consecutive Book Ends to finish him off.
• Backstage: Cathy Kelley interviewed Lash Legend and Nia Jax ahead of Legend's Money in the Bank qualifier. Legend dismissed Charlotte Flair and Giulia as threats and said she planned to win Money in the Bank and become WWE Women's Champion.
• Corey Graves announced that WWE x AAA Worlds Collide will stream on WWE's YouTube channel on Wednesday, September 30.
• Backstage: SmackDown General Manager Nick Aldis brought CM Punk into his office, where Kevin Owens was waiting. Aldis said their attempts to sabotage each other needed to stop and could not interfere with the Money in the Bank qualifiers. Punk agreed to stay out of Owens' way if Owens stayed out of his, saying Owens had nothing he wanted. Owens left without responding.
• Backstage: Chelsea Green was worried about the possibility of someone cashing in Money in the Bank on her as well as Nikki Bella coming after the WWE Women's Championship. Tiffany Stratton and Paige tried to get Green focused on their six-woman tag. Once they left, Nikki confronted Green and told her no one was going to stop her from becoming champion.
• Women's Money in the Bank Triple Threat Qualifying Match: Lash Legend defeated Charlotte Flair and Giulia by pinning Giulia. Giulia broke up Flair's Figure Eight on Legend and hit Flair with the Arrivederci Knee and Northern Lights Bomb. Legend then broke up Giulia's pin attempt and hit the Lash Extension on Giulia for the victory.
• Footage was shown from after Cody Rhodes' interview with Michael Cole last week. Thinking the interview had ended, Rhodes told Cole that if the situation with Randy Orton happens again, he's going to kick Orton's "fucking head in." WWE then showed Orton interrupting Cole before SmackDown and demanding an interview of his own.
• Backstage: Blake Monroe mocked Giulia over failing to qualify for Money in the Bank and told her to go back to obscurity. Giulia attacked Monroe and the two fought until officials and Nick Aldis separated them. Aldis announced Giulia vs Monroe for next week's SmackDown.
• Interview: Randy Orton spoke with Michael Cole about Cody Rhodes. Orton went through Cody's history from being Dusty Rhodes' son and his Legacy protege through Dashing Cody Rhodes, Stardust and eventually becoming the American Nightmare. Orton said Cody has changed repeatedly while he has always remained himself, regardless of the terrible things he has done in pursuit of world championships. Orton said if Cody cannot bring himself to kick him in the head, then Cody has peaked. He repeatedly demanded that Cole answer whether Cody was capable of doing it. Cole eventually said no, and Orton ended the interview.
• Backstage: Sami Zayn said Nick Aldis does not want him to be Undisputed WWE Champion, but he would continue to prevail because he was doing things for the right reasons and called himself "the last real good guy." Finn Balor confronted Zayn and said people were coming after him because Zayn had screwed everyone over. Balor vowed to come after him regardless of whether he won his Money in the Bank qualifier. Johnny Gargano and Candice LeRae then approached Zayn about the title opportunity Gargano had been promised. Zayn said Aldis would not grant Gargano the title match, but he had secured Money in the Bank qualifying matches for both Gargano and LeRae. Gargano agreed that he still had Zayn's back.
• Six-Woman Tag Team Match: Fatal Influence (Women's United States Champion Jacy Jayne and WWE Women's Tag Team Champions Fallon Henley and Lainey Reid) defeated WWE Women's Champion Chelsea Green, Tiffany Stratton and Paige by pinfall. Nikki Bella tripped Paige as she ran the ropes, allowing Jayne to hit the Rolling Encore and pin Paige.
• Next week's SmackDown will feature Giulia vs Blake Monroe, Tatum Paxley vs Tiffany Stratton vs Candice LeRae in the final Women's Money in the Bank qualifier, and Cody Rhodes vs Kevin Owens vs Johnny Gargano in the final Men's Money in the Bank qualifier.
• In-Ring: Cody Rhodes addressed Randy Orton and said next week's Money in the Bank qualifier was a battle for another day. Cody responded to Orton's comments about all the changes he has gone through during his career, pointing to the difficult positions he has repeatedly found himself in along the way. Cody called himself "the king of unwinnable positions" and promised Orton that this time, he would kick his head off his shoulders. Cody added that he could not promise Orton would be the only person he does it to. CM Punk then made his entrance for the main event and exchanged a stare-down with Cody in the aisle before Rhodes headed backstage.
• Men's Money in the Bank Triple Threat Qualifying Match: CM Punk defeated Finn Balor and Gunther by pinning Gunther. Gunther had Punk trapped in a sleeper hold when Balor hit Gunther with the Coup de Grace. Punk immediately covered Gunther and scored the three-count to qualify for Money in the Bank.
