WWE SMACKDOWN RESULTS: August 8, 2025
- Promo: John Cena is afraid of letting everyone down, but he's going to fight Brock Lesnar as he doesn't back down from challenges for fights. Logan Paul and Drew McIntyre went on the attack and Cena was saved by Cody Rhodes.
- MFT (Talla Tonga and JC Mateo) defeated The Motor City Machine Guns (Alex Shelley and Chris Sabin) by pinfall. Following the match, Solo Sikoa badmouthed the crowd and Nick Aldis introduced Sami Zayn to come out for an impromptu match.
- Sami Zayn defeated Solo Sikoa by pinfall.
- Backstage, after a Wyatt Sicks vignette about how their story is "just starting", The Street Profits and #DIY got into a verbal spat. Nick Aldis booked them in a match for next week.
- Since it's Alexa Bliss's birthday tomorrow, Charlotte Flair has gotten her something. In the ring, there's a cake that congratulates Charlotte but has Alexa's name crammed in there. Flair also has a matching doll for Lily the puppet. This one is "Charlie" with blonde hair. It gets a pop from the crowd. Flair called for a hug but just as Bliss was about to, The Green Regime interrupted. Nick Aldis then booked a match.
- Backstage, Carmelo Hayes talked to The Miz about how Miz left him high and dry for two months and how he wants a United States title match. Miz hyped up Melo as deserving one, but that it takes time, and claimed he just spoke to Aldis to set up a tag team match for next week. After Melo left, Aldis rolled up and had no idea what Miz was there for. Miz then wanted to talk to him.
- Charlotte Flair defeated Chelsea Green by submission
- Cathy Kelley interviewed Tiffany Stratton. Jade Cargill interrupted to say next time, the story will be different. Stratton said the result will still be the same and left. Kiana James and Giulia rolled up to offer James' service as a manager. Michin then asked for the business card if Jade isn't going to use it.
- Vignette: Aleister Black doesn't believe in an eye for an eye. He finishes people, essentially.
- R-Truth and John Cena mirrored each other. Then, Truth said it's great that Cena is back and that means that he is also back. Cena then joked that it was Truth that was acting weird the past few months.
- John Cena & Cody Rhodes defeated Logan Paul & Drew McIntyre by disqualification after Paul low-blowed Cena. Post-match brawl left Rhodes on the floor after McIntyre Claymored him through the commentary table.
