WWE SMACKDOWN RESULTS: August 22, 2025
- Promo: Becky Lynch talked smack about Ireland. Tiffany Stratton came out. Nia Jax followed. Jade Cargill made the save. Nick Aldis made a typical tag team main event.
- Backstage: Axiom and Nathan Frazer warned Carmelo Hayes that The Miz is a schemer. Melo then touted how The Miz is smarter than everyone and he was winning titles when they were all in diapers (which of course isn't true and that threw Miz off)
- Melo Don't Miz (Carmelo Hayes & The Miz) defeated The Motor City Machine Guns (Alex Shelley & Chris Sabin) by pinfall.
- Backstage Interview: Cathy Kelley talked to Jimmy Uso about the baby on the way. Sami Zayn is excited. Solo Sikoa thinks they should name the kid after himself (no yeet from Jimmy about that) and threatens to bring the kid into his side of the family. Zayn threatens to take the US title from Sikoa, as he's not the underdog Sami, but the WrestleMania main-eventer.
- Piper Niven defeated Charlotte Flair by pinfall with some help from Chelsea Green interfering.
- Backstage: Michin approached Giulia and Kiana James about that Women's United States Championship match. James says if she wants to get to Giulia, she has to go through her first. Mia Yim is down for that. Giulia isn't worried.
- Promo: John Cena and Logan Paul had a face-to-face jaw-jacking that inevitably ended with an Attitude Adjustment.
- The Street Profits (Angelo Dawkins & Montez Ford) defeated MFT (JC Mateo & Tonga Loa) by pinfall. For some reason, Mateo took the pin instead of Loa (who booked this??)
- Aleister Black vs R-Truth didn't take place. R-Truth flew to Dublin, Georgia, instead. But he made a call and Damian Priest is there. Priest and Black brawled.
- Drew McIntyre came out for a promo about how eventually, Cody Rhodes is going to have to fight him and put the title on the line, and he's going to take it from him. He also claimed that nobody chastised McIntyre for what he did to Rhodes, which means Cody has no friends in the locker room as they all want his spot. Then, Randy Orton came out of nowhere with an RKO.
- Jade Cargill & Tiffany Stratton defeated Becky Lynch & Nia Jax by pinfall. Lynch left Jax to fend for herself toward the end.
- The show ended with Logan Paul sucker punching John Cena backstage when Cena was talking to Nick Aldis, who had said he had just heard from Brock Lesnar, without saying anything else.
