WWE Title Change: New NXT Women's Champion Crowned at NXT TakeOver: In Your House | Smark Out Moment
The WWE NXT Women's Championship has changed hands as Io Shirai defeated Charlotte Flair and Rhea Ripley to win the title at NXT TakeOver: In Your House on June 7, 2020.

My immediate reaction: Why did Flair win the title at WrestleMania to begin with? It didn't help the ratings, that's for sure. It certainly didn't do Ripley ANY favors to lose her momentum like that AND to take the pin here. The least they could have done is have Flair be the one to take the pin. But nope. This is typical WWE booking of preferential treatment to someone who by no means needs yet another boost, just to set up the idea that it will pay off something else in the long run to "make up for it", only to go in another direction and go "well, plans change, get over it" and then, if fans aren't as into Ripley going forward, WWE will blame it on her, not their bad creative.
