WWE Title Change: Akira Tozawa Wins 24/7 Championship on Raw

Posted by Dallas Allsopp Monday, June 22, 2020
The WWE 24/7 Championship has changed hands as Akira Tozawa defeated R-Truth to win the title on the June 23, 2020 edition of Monday Night Raw.

My immediate reaction: This was underwhelming. R-Truth is the lifeblood of the 24/7 Championship, therefore the fun is in R-Truth attempting to win the title back. Akira Tozawa is a solid hand, but the ninja gimmick is flat out bad. Hopefully he can be part of a fun battle for the title, but this win alone will not legitimise the ninjas. Especially as he capitalised on Bobby Lashley's destruction of R-Truth to win the belt.
