WWE Title Change: New United States Champion Crowned at Stomping Grounds 2019 | Smark Out Moment
The WWE United States Championship has changed hands as Ricochet defeated Samoa Joe to win the title at Stomping Grounds on June 23, 2019.

My immediate reaction: Pretty shocked, actually. I figured the Rey Mysterio feud would keep the belt on Samoa Joe going forward until at least SummerSlam, and that Ricochet was just someone for Joe to beat and feud with along the way. I'm a fan of Ricochet, though, so him having the United States title is certainly not a bad thing.
