Smark Out Moment

Welcome to another edition of CALL THE SPOT, where we present a list of wrestlers and you must choose what place on the WWE Roster Hierarchy they should be put in: Hall of Fame, Main Event, Upper Midcard, Midcard, Jobber and Released (or any alternative extra categories that may be added for bigger lists).

The rules are that each spot must be filled and only one person can be in each spot, so no ties can happen, nor can anyone opt out. No matter how difficult it might be, you have to pick.


This edition will focus on the men and women competing at the WWE Elimination Chamber 2019 pay-per-view event's cage matches coming up on February 17th.



6) RELEASED = Jeff Hardy

I really hate when I have to give bad spots to six people that I'm fond of, cause I like all of these guys and I wouldn't want any of them to be anything short of upper-midcard.

Oof. Releasing Jeff Hardy sucks, but my justification is that I think he's banged up his body enough that he can retire, so this isn't a firing, so much as an allowance to stop (but of course, in my mind, Hardy is an upper-midcarder)

5) JOBBER = Mustafa Ali

Again, this sucks, cause I want Ali to win the United States Championship this year and I'm a big fan. But given the rest of the crew here, I have to put the rest of them above him due to their histories.

4) MIDCARD = Daniel Bryan

People will call this blasphemy that he isn't in the main event part or something, because he's a bona fide Hall of Famer already, but I think Bryan's size hurts him in comparison and I'd rather him be in the midcard and making that scene look better than to have him in the main event and put someone like Samoa Joe down a notch, where he'd lose more than he already does.

3) UPPER MIDCARD = Samoa Joe

I want this guy to be a world champion, and I want him to hold a midcard title or two, too, damn it. This is the lowest I could go with Joe.

2) MAIN EVENT = AJ Styles

He's The Phenomenal One. Even though I'd rather book him as the UM and put Joe in the ME, I feel like I have to put Styles at the top in some regards.

1) HALL OF FAME = Randy Orton

He's a 13x world champion...




6) SPLIT = The Riott Squad

Doing this a little differently as a tag team setup. Instead of this being about who gets fired from the company or who gets pushed individually out of a combo, it's which team would break apart and no longer be in contention for the tag titles.

In that case, I would definitely get rid of The Riott Squad, as I've never liked this trio as a unit. I never understood why Liv Morgan and Sarah Logan would be together, let alone with Ruby Riott. This should have just been Riott herself being the one with that personality, whereas Logan should be a viking beast and Morgan should be her old NXT gimmick or something else.

5) JOBBER = Naomi and Carmella

They dance, they lose, but they're fun, so they stick around and help each other out from time to time.

4) MIDCARD = The IIconics

They can be jokes who lose and they can be more serious contenders, depending on the circumstances. Basically, the way they are now, although in an ideal world, I'd treat them more seriously.

3) UPPER MIDCARD = Mandy Rose and Sonya Deville

Fire and Desire is a team name they have to go by, and they need to actually push these two. Rose has the sex appeal and can draw heat that way, while Deville can hold down the fort on a physical side of things. These two definitely need to be champions at some point.

2) MAIN EVENT = Nia Jax and Tamina

When you have the two biggest women in the company together, you have to make them credible threats or absolute jokes, and given the two options, I'd rather they work as tanks people need to overcome than jobbers.

1) HALL OF FAME = Bayley and Sasha Banks

They're two of the Four Horsewomen. Nuff said.
