WWE Title Change: Seth Rollins Wins United States Championship at SummerSlam on August 23, 2015 | Smark Out Moment
At SummerSlam on August 23, 2015, Seth Rollins has won United States Championship in the Champion Takes All match against John Cena with the help of Jon Stewart's interference.

My reaction: This was the best way for this match to go, as John Cena as the dual champion would have been a disappointment. Seth Rollins winning the title probably means that it's gone for good (or at least a while) and I'm okay with that.
