Pourquoi? I have no idea. No details seem to be coming out as of yet, but of course, I'll update this once I learn more. The only thing that makes sense to me is if they found out that her recent injury was worse than previously thought. That being said, I wouldn't be surprised at all if it were some sort of move to separate her and The Miz, whom she's dating, as WWE loves to break couples up (Melina/Morrison for example), but with everything just being speculation, there's no firm ground to stand on with that.
My reaction to this release? I'm not a fan of it, for multiple reasons. First off...well, the most obvious is because she's super hot. Second, I thought that she was one of the most - if not THE most - over divas that they had. She struggled on the mic and wasn't the best of the best in the ring, but she did her job better than half the divas they still have and was extremely popular in the process. When Maryse gets fired but they still have a job for Tamina, I don't know what to think.
Goodbye Maryse. I will miss those....I mean that...I mean, you.
