This segment will fill you in on the most important parts of the show worth checking out or keeping up to date with, in case you missed this episode of Impact Wrestling.

Without further ado, let's inspect the biggest takeaways of the week!

IMPACT WRESTLING: FEBRUARY 29, 2024 RESULTS

#5 - System Overload

This week’s main event saw two teams of champions and challengers alike facing down common enemies, as the System faced the team of ABC and Eric Young in a 6 man tag, a preview of the various title matches set for Sacrifice.

Following a standard formula but following it well, the talent in this match alone does the talking, EY and ABC making quite a surprisingly effective face team against the System, who just feel like a well-oiled machine. And as the old saying goes, you can’t beat the System, with the trio putting away the faces with a Pump Kick, Backpack Stunner and Diving Elbow combo to win the day.

#4 - Front Towards Mountain

Seemingly continuing the feud of Speedball Mountain vs the Rascalz and Steve Maclin, Mike Bailey and Maclin clashed in singles action this week, opening the show with a match that felt physical in all the right ways.

There was no back down in either way, with various forearm exchanges as well as other striking contests throughout showing neither man wanting to give any ground. The difference between the two is how they fought the match, Speedball as nobly as ever, Maclin with interference and targeting the leg of Bailey. After the Ultima Weapon missed, Bailey was able to fight off defeat a little longer, but eventually, a KIA got the job done.

After the match, a Maclin promo would be interrupted by the new IWGP Global champion, Nic Nemeth, who challenged Maclin to a match at Sacrifice.

#3 - We Believe (And Win)

The losing streak of Rich Swann finally came to an end this week, though it wasn’t in singles action. Swann teamed with recent opponent and respectful ally Joe Hendry against Deaner and AJ Francis, who made his in ring debut for TNA here.

Swann was, once the bell got going, the MVP of the match. The crowd were thrilled to see Hendry do his thing beforehand, but this match was all about how exciting and effective the former World Champion of the team could be. The bulk of the match was his, with Hendry making the match winning pin after hitting the Standing Ovation.

#2 - Into the Something

It’s often the matches you don’t expect that entertain you the most, Laredo Kid Vs Jake Something from this week’s episode being a perfect example. Clearly put on the air to continue the momentum of Something, this went far and above what it had to.

While the highlight was definitely the apron hurricanrana turned into a powerbomb, Kid more than held his own, feeling like he was outsmarting Something for the majority of their encounter with his evasions, and how he used Jake’s momentum against him. In the end however, his own momentum worked against him, with Something hitting Into the Void to secure the win.

#1 - Part 3, Kinda

In general, I’m not a fan of trilogy-enders being draws. Especially not when the feud in question has been as surprisingly fun as Xia Brookside Vs Tasha Steelz. The end result, however, felt worth it.

The two picked up where they left off, much of this match more a heated brawl and game of one upping each other more than a pure wrestling match. Able to counter each other’s signature offense, the two ended up outside the ring, where they would both be counted out.

Having seen enough, the champion Jordynne Grace would come out and announce that this match had the intended goal of deciding a challenger for her at Sacrifice:Grace is choosing both Xia and Tasha, in a Triple Threat.
