WWE Survivor Series 2015 Results

We have our regular pre-show as usual, and since there's no match, I suggest using this time to do something more constructive than to watch all of the video packages we'll be seeing again later on.

Nevermind, it appears that we're getting an elimination match. Could've been useful to advertise this, but at least we're getting it.

[Traditional Survivor Series Elimination Match] Team Heel (The Miz, Bo Dallas, Stardust and The Ascension) vs. Team Babyface (Neville, The Dudley Boyz, Titus O'Neil, and Goldust)

Oh shit, Goldust!

Fall 1: Goldust pins Viktor
Fall 2: Bubba Ray pins Konnor
Fall 3: The Miz pins Neville (what??)
Fall 4: Goldust pins The Miz
Fall 5: Titus O'Neil pins Bo Dallas
Fall 6: Devon pins Stardust

RESULTS: Everybody except Neville survives as the babyface team wins.
THOUGHTS: Very happy this match was added to the card, very happy to see Goldust return, but what's up with Neville getting eliminated? Who did he piss off? Counter-productive.

I'm loving this social media lounge backstage segment with Tyler Breeze and Summer Rae, saying things like "ROFL" and "Googs it" and "abbrev".

Lilian Garcia sings the National Anthem. Dace made a joke that this would be the perfect time for Muhammad Hassan to return (LMAO).

[WWE World Heavyweight Championship Tournament Semifinals] Roman Reigns vs. Alberto Del Rio

RESULTS: Roman Reigns via pinfall.
THOUGHTS: I'm not a Del Rio fan, but I enjoyed this match quite a bit.

Backstage, Dean Ambrose congratulates Reigns on his win. Kevin Owens comes out to say that he'll be Ambrose and then beat Reigns in the finals.

[WWE World Heavyweight Championship Tournament Semifinals] Dean Ambrose vs. Kevin Owens

RESULTS: Dean Ambrose via pinfall.
THOUGHTS: Another good match. This might be the best match Ambrose has had as far as ring-skills go.

[Traditional Survivor Series Elimination Match] Team Babyface (Ryback, The Lucha Dragons, and The Usos) vs. Team Heel (The New Day, King Barrett and Sheamus)

Xavier Woods looks like Little Richard with his new hairstyle. It's amazing seeing Sheamus and Barrett awkwardly next to The New Day. "Unlike the Lucha Booties, who will spend another Thanksgiving at the little kids table..." "Ryback isn't bald by choice, he can't grow hair on his head. It's hilarious."

Fall 1: Sin Cara eliminates King Barrett via pinfall
Fall 2: Xavier Woods eliminates Jimmy Uso via pinfall
Fall 3: Sheamus eliminates Sin Cara via pinfall
Fall 4: Jey Uso eliminates Big E via pinfall
Fall 5 and 6: Kofi Kingston and Xavier Woods leave the match to go take Big E to the back, leaving Sheamus alone
Fall 7: Ryback eliminates Sheamus via pinfall

RESULTS: Team Babyface wins with a 3-on-1 advantage
THOUGHTS: This was pretty random. I enjoyed it, but not as much as the first, and I think it's a mistake there wasn't a sole survivor or anything special.

[Divas Championship] Charlotte (c) vs. Paige

RESULTS: Charlotte via submission (Figure-8)
THOUGHTS: Zzzzz. That spear was supposed to be amazing and it sucked.

Tyler Breeze vs. Dolph Ziggler

RESULTS: Tyler Breeze via pinfall (Unprettier)
THOUGHTS: Meh. These two could have done better and the ending came out of nowhere. That previous match killed some of my excitement and this didn't do enough to amp me back up. I do like both, but I'm disappointed.

The Brothers of Destruction vs. The Wyatt Family

RESULTS: Brothers of Destruction via pinfall.
THOUGHTS: Good match. Not as good as it could have been in my mind, but still fun.

[WWE World Heavyweight Championship Tournament Finals] Dean Ambrose vs. Roman Reigns

RESULTS: Roman Reigns wins the championship via pinfall.
THOUGHTS: Good match. Anti-climactic ending that I'm suspicious isn't the actual end.

Confetti falls and pyro goes off in celebration. Triple H comes out to hold up Roman's hand in victory. Reigns spears him and Sheamus comes out to Brogue Kick him.

[WWE World Heavyweight Championship Match] Roman Reigns (c) vs. Sheamus

Reigns kicks out the first time, but falls victim to the second Brogue Kick.

RESULTS: Sheamus wins the title via pinfall.
THOUGHTS: I don't like Sheamus as the champion, because I don't like Sheamus. Saw this coming, though.

HIGH SPOTS

+ Two elimination matches took place despite none properly being advertised
+ Goldust return
+ All of the title tournament matches were good

LOW BLOWS

- Sheamus is the new champion
- Divas Championship match
- No standout performances in the Survivor Series matches outside of Goldust / Neville gets the shaft

CRITIQUE RATING SCALE: 2-COUNT NEAR-FALL (okay)

Reasoning: I'm disappointed Sheamus is the champion and I think overall, nearly everything on this event could have been considerably better if WWE had put more effort into it. I enjoyed some stuff quite a bit, but a lot of it just was meh.
