WWE Releases 5 NXT Superstars - Mason Ryan, Raquel Diaz and More

WWE has released five of the Superstars and Divas from NXT and developmental:

Mason Ryan (Barri Griffiths)
Raquel Diaz (Shaul Guerrero)
Danny Burch (Martin Harris)
Oliver Grey (Joel Redman)
Shara (Sarah Backman)

It was previously said that WWE would not release people in droves, but let contracts expire instead. This may have been a more proactive version of "spring cleaning" when they realized that these people weren't making enough progress to justify keeping them on board—or there may have been other issues at play. Whatever the case may be, WWE is down six more people, which means there's room for more to add to the roster.
