Fatal 4-Way Match to determine the No. 1 contender for the Undisputed WWE Championship match at the Royal Rumble: Randy Orton vs. Trick Williams vs. Damian Priest vs. Sami Zayn
I did not at all think they had it in them to put the belt on Drew McIntyre. While I'm concerned that's going to ultimately be a mistake, and I think a feud between Jacob Fatu and Cody Rhodes is a mistake as well in the meantime, I'm at least interested to see where they're going and I'm willing to admit that my cynicism over WWE's booking does have a chance to be wrong and they could end up doing some cool stuff here.
Update: I'm still not feeling this. It's good there are several contenders, but I think this is turning out to be a mess where WWE thought about going for chaos without a plan hoping that that somehow equals good by default.
PREDICTION: I'd bet more on Randy Orton or Sami Zayn than anyone else, but we'll see.
WWE Women's Tag Team Championship Match: Iyo Sky & Rhea Ripley (c) vs The Judgment Day (Liv Morgan & Roxanne Perez)
These belts could definitely change hands and I wouldn't be surprised. It's hard to tell, as we have to work backward from who will win the Royal Rumble and we don't know those plans. For example, if the plan is for Liv Morgan to win and challenge Stephanie Vaquer, then she's obviously not taking these titles. However, if they want to put Ripley against Vaquer, or do a Triple Threat by also throwing in Iyo, then they do need to drop the belts. There are a lot of options right now for who fights for the two world titles, the two midcard titles, and the tag team titles, but I would assume we'll see all four of these women on the Mania card in some fashion, and I do think whoever walks out with these belts on this show likely will continue to hold them going into Las Vegas.
PREDICTION: Rhiyo retain?
Cody Rhodes vs. Jacob Fatu
What should we do with the babyface champion that some people are kind of booing, and the returning babyface who should be going after Drew McIntyre, who is feuding with that babyface champion? I know, let's have the returning babyface cost the other babyface the title, and then, they can fight each other, instead of the guy they both have problems with. That way, even more people dislike our top babyface, and some of them then also start thinking negatively about the other babyface. That'll be great!
I don't understand this at all.
PREDICTION: This ends in some kind of non-finish. Drew McIntyre attacks both or something.
