WWE Power Rankings Top 25 Superstars This Week #177

Posted by Wes Keefer Sunday, January 7, 2018
Welcome to another edition of Power Rankings from Smark Out Moment! Each week, we will break down the current roster and examine who has gone up the WWE hierarchy and who has unfortunately taken a step down the ladder. Factoring in things such as wins and losses, suspensions, injuries, making a name for one's self, being humiliated, and more, who is at the top of the food chain and who needs to make up some ground next week?

Power Ranking WWE wrestlers list roster

25. Chad Gable and Shelton Benjamin

The tag team did technically win the belts, but they did get screwed out of them and in controversial fashion. That make for a bad week and a last place ranking.

24. Daniel Bryan

Bryan is slowly losing more control of his show when McMahon interrupted him and didn't let Bryan get a word in.

23. Titus Worldwide

Titus's group is getting more clients and more airtime, but they have yet to find victories. A positive is that at least Apollo Crews is paired with Nia Jax in the Mixed Match Challenge.

22. The Welcoming Committee

Lana, Tamina, Natalya, and Carmella have banded together in the fight against The Riott Squad. Sadly, since reforming the group, they have had little success. At least Lana will be returning to in-ring action.

21. Alexa Bliss

In a non-title match, Bliss was forced to tap out by Asuka in their first match together. The Goddess may have met her match in The Empress.

20. Matt Hardy

Hardy is continuing his mind games against Bray Wyatt. It is only a matter of time before these two meet face to face.

19. Hideo Itami

He seemed to be on a roll on 205, but Itami has found a sneaky rival in Jack Gallagher, who injured Hideo with a pipe in their latest match.

18. Shane McMahon

McMahon pulled a power move over Daniel Bryan and shut down his GM.

17. Kane

The Big Red Monster did attack Lesnar to close out Raw this week, but Kane still feels like a third wheel in this feud.

16. AJ Styles

The veteran pulled a very bold and even hardheaded move when he himself booked a title match with Zayn AND Owens at the Royal Rumble.

15. Bludgeon Brothers

The duo once again rolled through Breezango and Ascension. It's getting old though.

14. Cedric Alexander

It was deja vu for Alexander as he and Goldust beat Gulak and Aryia twice. Once on Raw, once on 205.
13. Jason Jordan

Jordan beat Cesaro one on one, but he and Rollins seem to be butting heads already.

12. Charlotte, Naomi, Becky Lynch

A returning Becky Lynch could be what has been missing in getting the better of The Riott Squad. SmackDown's three top females are their best shot.

11. Bray Wyatt

He beat Apollo Crews, but the main story is the inevitable face to face between him and Matt Hardy.

10. Riott Squad

The stable shut down The Welcoming Committee, but a returning Lynch could spell trouble.

9. Samoa Joe

Yes, he lost to Reigns for the Intercontinental Championship. However, he put up quite the fight in this slugfest.

8. Xavier Woods

Woods picked up a win in the United States Championship tournament and could bring The New Day their first singles title.

7. Balor and The Club

It was quite a surprise on Raw when Balor finally reunited with Gallows and Anderson since their NJPW days.

6. The Usos

The brothers seemed to have lost their titles, but due to their tricky twin switching, they were given a rematch and retained.

5. Braun Strowman

Strowman's promo with Heath Slater was memorable, as was his beating of Rhyno and Slater.

4. Asuka

Asuka beat the champion Alexa Bliss in a non-title match and should receive her title shot next.

3. Brock Lesnar

The Beast returned to Raw ahead of the Royal Rumble and was faced with Kane. He suffered a chokeslam, but got back up and brought the fight to The Big Red Monster

2. Kevin Owens and Sami Zayn

Zayn was able to get the upset over AJ Styles with the help of Owens, who ignored the rules and came to ringside. AJ booked himself in a handicap match for the title with Owens and Zayn.

1. Roman Reigns

Reigns came away victorious in a hard-fought brawl with Samoa Joe and continues to be a very promising champion, at least until The Miz returns.

Do you think anyone should be listed differently?
