The following are my predictions for the 2024 AEW Revolution PPV. Check back for Revolution 2024 results and review coverage here when the time comes.

Tornado Tag Team Match for the AEW World Tag Team Championship: Sting and Darby Allin (c) vs. The Young Bucks
This is Sting's retirement match, but it's also for the tag titles. That makes it not as much of a guarantee one way or the other. The argument can be made that Sting should keep his undefeated streak going and leave on a positive note, wherein Darby Allin can either find a new tag team partner or they can both vacate the titles. Then again, the argument can be made that the title changing hands is the cleanest thing they can do, and Sting should "do the honors" on the way out.
But if the latter happens, doesn't it come off a bit awkward to have Sting's final match end with some douchey heels beating him and the fans disappointed, then having to do the "thank you Sting" chants with a bit of pity in their voices?
I can't say this is the match I would have wanted Sting to go out on, to be honest. Obviously, I wanted to see him against a handful of others that he never got a chance to work with, like Undertaker, Shawn Michaels, etc. Oh well. I guess this is as good as we could have hoped for. Hell of a career, that's for sure. Legend.
PREDICTION: Sting and Darby Allin win.
AEW International Championship Match: Orange Cassidy (c) vs. Roderick Strong
The International Championship has had some rough goings with Jon Moxley and Rey Fenix and all, as well as passing it back over to OC without really a game plan in mind, it seemed. Now, it appears the game plan is to transition over to Strong.
Honestly, I think it's a great fit. Strong is a wrestler's wrestler. He's perfect for this title. It doesn't distract from the TNT Championship (or the Continental Crown, for that matter) and can allow The Undisputed Kingdom to have another champion in the ranks who can put on some great matches. I'm all for it. Even though I'm a bigger fan of Orange Cassidy, I have to say I'm rooting for Strong to win here.
PREDICTION: Roderick Strong wins the title.
Three-Way Match for the AEW World Championship: Samoa Joe (c) vs. "Hangman" Adam Page vs. Swerve Strickland
As much as Page is a former champion and Swerve has so much support behind him right now, I just can't see Joe dropping the title this quickly after winning it. He's been protected too well in AEW. My guess is Page takes the pin so Swerve doesn't lose much momentum, as Page has already had that happened to him multiple times, proving Tony Khan has no problem devaluing Hangman at random times. This is all far from a guarantee, though. There's a CHANCE the title changes hands. I just don't think it's more than a 5% chance or so. Not yet. Even though I'm a fan of these guys, I'm just being realistic.
Swerve's definitely going to come out of this even more of a babyface. Page is heeling it up too much for that not to be the case. But Joe is ultimately going to take out Page for the win, methinks.
PREDICTION: Samoa Joe retains.
AEW Women's World Championship Match: "Timeless" Toni Storm (c) vs. Deonna Purrazzo
In another time, I'd be thinking Purrazzo would dethrone Storm. However, not only is Kamille potentially coming into the company soon, but Mercedes Mone is a guarantee. There's also a chance Storm keeps the title until Jamie Hayter can take it from her in Wembley. However, I'd bank (pun intended) on Mercedes being the next champion. Sadly, for Deonna, that means she has to come up short here, likely due to some interference from Mariah May so she doesn't look too weak.
More importantly, I hope Tony Khan has a plan to keep Purrazzo from falling victim to the AEW trap of having a big push from the start, losing, then fizzling out and no longer being the shiny new toy, so they get tossed to the side like any other member of the roster. Remember how big Brian Cage was for a short time, and so many others?
PREDICTION: Toni Storm retains.AEW Continental Crown Championship Match: Eddie Kingston (c) vs. Bryan Danielson
And here I thought the days these guys were wrestling for a hot dog and a handshake were over. Tisk tisk. Look, I've made no reservations that AEW hasn't been hitting for me over the past year or so. Something like this is a 50/50.
I understand why people would be excited for it. I even understand why people think the idea of the stipulation where if Kingston wins, Danielson has to shake his hand, would be some kind of old school awesome gimmick. But to me, even though I enjoy both these guys, I'm burned out on the style of guys slapping each other 100 times and being told it's a 5-star classic. If it happens too often, it isn't special anymore.
I feel like this is a match that I've already seen, but they're just repeating it because they like reruns, while I'm more interested in seeing something new. I'd rather Danielson be going up against Will Ospreay and Kingston against Takeshita, for instance.
I'm assuming Kingston wins. Otherwise, what's the point of the stipulation?
PREDICTION: Eddie Kingston retains.Konosuke Takeshita vs. Will Ospreay
Why are these two fighting when they're in the same faction? I know Don Callis basically said the reason is "because" and that's it...and I also know that the main reason is because Tony Khan just wants to see it and thinks/knows the fans will enjoy the match, so shut up, Tony, and just enjoy two people wrestling without any logic behind it...but isn't that what happens way too often in AEW? If we crap on WWE for not having any logic, shouldn't we do the same when AEW pulls these out? Or do they just get a pass because you'd enjoy the action in the same way that it wouldn't make any sense if Godzilla showed up in Avengers: Endgame and defeated Thanos, but hey, wouldn't it be cool?
Basically, my point of view is yes, the match will be good if you shut off your brain, ignore everything that happened prior to this, and just want to watch an athletic ballet contest. If that's your preferred method of sports entertainment, this is going to be a 12 out of 5 stars match. But if you want more substance like I do, I sincerely question the booking mentality here when there are so many other stories that can be told.
Now...I will say that there COULD be a story brewing here that is only going to happen AFTER the match takes place. That could be that Ospreay is kicked out of the Don Callis Family and this match was set up because Callis wanted to get back at Ospreay for not being in the mix sooner and helping them out with their other feuds. It wouldn't be my favorite storyline, but it could be a roundabout way to turn Ospreay babyface, get him out of that group, and try to "swerve" the fans with a surprise, rather than to tell that story ahead of time and build up to it.
Or, it could just be the same as when I was a little kid playing with my action figures and I would do a random crossover between Batman and Spider-Man teaming up to fight X-Men's Sabretooth and Shredder from Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles.
PREDICTION: Will Ospreay wins.AEW TNT Championship Match: Christian Cage (c) vs. Daniel Garcia
There's a part of me that says Garcia is winning this outright and that's about it. There's another part of me that says there's no chance he's winning and instead, he's just the latest person to go up against Christian Cage, and that I can't imagine this is how that story plays out.
That makes it an interesting match to me, in particular, as I'm fond of both guys. Basically, no matter what happens, I'll be happy with the outcome.
PREDICTION: Daniel Garcia wins.All-Star Scramble Match: Brian Cage vs. Chris Jericho vs. Hook vs. Lance Archer vs. Powerhouse Hobbs vs. Wardlow vs. (Magnus or Matt Sydal) vs. (Penta El Zero Miedo or Bryan Keith or Dante Martin)
Scratch that Meat Madness thing. But I'm curious why it was taken off the card, only to be replaced with this, where the 3 announced people are in this match. I guess that means a fourth person was meant to be involved, they were waiting on his status, found out he can't, and decided to pivot.
Even then, I'm curious why this isn't a Face of the Revolution Ladder Match. We just aren't getting them anymore, I guess, after not having it last year, either, but at least that happened on Dynamite last year. Then again, when's the last time we got a Casino Battle Royale, either?
My guess is the remaining two spots will go to Magnus and Penta, and that since this is for a world title shot, there's a chance someone other than Wardlow wins just so Joe can beat them on a future episode of Dynamite, and since this is a scramble, Wardlow doesn't have to "lose" in order to lose. I'm arbitrarily thinking this could be Jericho, but it could just as easily be anyone else.
PREDICTION: Chris Jericho wins.Tag Team Match: FTR (Dax Harwood and Cash Wheeler) vs. Blackpool Combat Club (Jon Moxley and Claudio Castagnoli)
Since this isn't technically for anything, it could go either way. But since Moxley beat Harwood, and it's giving me the impression that this is way more about FTR trying to prove themselves than anything for BCC to prove, and I could see FTR becoming the new tag team champions following Revolution if Sting and Darby Allin retain and have to vacate it, or if The Young Bucks win the belts here. Maybe I've got the wrong perception of where this is going, but I lean way more toward FTR coming out on top.
