UFC 211 took place on May 13, 2017 at the American Airlines Center in Dallas, Texas. This is a full review of what happened and the results of the bouts that took place at the pay-per-view. Here are the results of UFC 211.

Review of UFC 211 pay-per-view Miocic vs Dos Santos

MAIN CARD

HEAVYWEIGHT CHAMPIONSHIP: Stipe Miocic (c) vs Junior Dos Santos (#4)

A knockout less than halfway through the first round. Miocic is on a good run, I hope he fights Francis Ngannou either this year or next year.

RESULT: Stipe Miocic, 1st round TKO.

STRAWWEIGHT CHAMPIONSHIP: Joanna Jedrzejczyk (c) vs Jessica Andrade (#3)

The fact that one of the judges scored it 50-44 tells the whole story. Joanna was dominant and easily won every round. I probably would've stuck to 50-45, but she probably deserved the extra point advantage overall. I'm not sure who can challenge her.

RESULT: Joanna Jedrzejczyk, unanimous decision.

WELTERWEIGHT: Demian Maia (#3) vs Jorge Masvidal (#5)

A very close fight, I can understand why one of the judges gave Masvidal the win, but I think Maia probably edged it 29-28.

RESULT: Demian Maia, split decision.

FEATHERWEIGHT: Frankie Edgar (#2) vs Yair Rodriguez (#7)

Edgar dominated the first two rounds and the doctor's stopped the fight before the third could start. Difficult to argue with the decision, Rodriguez's left eye was badly beaten up and he could barely see if at all.

RESULT: Frankie Edgar, doctor stoppage.

MIDDLEWEIGHT: Krzysztof Jotko (#9) vs David Branch

This was a good, close fight and the judges only gave it Branch very narrowly. I would have to agree, though. I gave Branch the win 29-28 and this was somewhat of an upset.

RESULT: David Branch, split decision.

PRELIMINARY CARD

LIGHTWEIGHT: Eddie Alvarez (#3) vs Dustin Poirier (#9)

This was a great fight and was going Poirier's way, but illegal knees from Alvarez in the second round led to the fight being called a no contest. There was confusion because the new rules weren't being used for this event in Texas. They need to just unify the rules for all states, it gets so confusing. Hopefully we get a rematch.

RESULT: No Contest.

FEATHERWEIGHT: Chas Skelly vs Jason Knight

Jason Knight took the first two rounds narrowly, but a TKO within 40 seconds of the 3rd round guaranteed the win.

RESULT: Jason Knight, 3rd round TKO.

HEAVYWEIGHT: Chase Sherman vs Rashad Coulter

Sherman was dominating both rounds before an elbow won him the fight.

RESULT: Chase Sherman, 2nd round KO.

LIGHTWEIGHT: Marco Polo Reyes vs James Vick

Early TKO for Vick, kind of came from nowhere, but a solid win nonetheless.

RESULT: James Vick, 1st round TKO.

EARLY PRELIMINARY CARD

STRAWWEIGHT: Jessica Aguilar (#12) vs Cortney Casey

All three rounds to Casey, not many questions to be asked here, great win for Casey.

RESULT: Cortney Casey, Unanimous decision.

FEATHERWEIGHT: Gabriel Benitez vs Enrique Barzola

Barzola takes it 29-28 and there can't be many complaints about that, good fight from both guys though.

RESULT: Enrique Barzola, unanimous decision.

LIGHT HEAVYWEIGHT: Joachim Christensen vs Gadzhimurad Antigulov

A first round submission and a fairly simple win for Antigulov.

RESULT: Gadzhimurad Antigulov, 1st round submission.
