WWE Title Change: Kalisto Wins United States Championship at Royal Rumble on 1/24/2016

The WWE United States Championship has changed hands as Kalisto defeated Alberto Del Rio to win the title at Royal Rumble on January 24, 2016.

My immediate reaction: Wait, so why couldn't WWE just keep the belt on Kalisto when he originally won the title?
